Allagash Brewing Co. Curieux [Beligian Golden BA, 10.2% ABV]

A really strong Belgian Golden, supplemented with the oaky, vanilla-ish notes of a bourbon. I thought it was stellar for a cool fall evening. The ABV makes it feel warm and decadent without the heavy mouthfeel you'd get from a stout.

Best IPA’s in Colorado?

I’m going on a weekend trip to colorado soon and it’ll be my first time there. There appears to be quite a few breweries there and I was wondering it any of them is particularly known for their IPA’s or if any of you had specific recommendations. We’ll be staying around denver/ boulder/ fort collins.

Belgian times

Adriaen Brouwer Tripel. Brouwerij Roman. Belgian Tripel. 9% alc.

Very Belgian and spicy aroma. Sweet, fruity, caramel flavor, lots of coriander and pine. Well integrated alcohol, the 9 degrees are barely noticeable. I really liked it.

What is the most dry tasting macro light lager?

Sometimes I want to drink some cheap light beer but I have found things like miller, bud, and even corona premiere to be a bit sweet to me. What are some cheap macro options that dry with some hop character? North East of the US if that helps.

White Thunder IPA

Tasty- very fruity and hazy, I tried the Peacherine by the same brewery the other day but this is nicer and a more subtle and lighter flavour. But lots (and I mean LOTS) of sediment. Not sure if I poured it wrong or if it’s meant to have peach bits in it.

Tasting glass

What's your favorite glass to taste beer? Glass by style? Is the teku sensor cup a good choice for every style?

Solid brown ale. I always stop in at Schoolhouse when I vist my family in GA. Also picked up a couple of their sours this visit but the Beehive Brown was the standout.

Can anyone decipher this Best Buy date?

Glutenberg Stout. It says the expiration date is on the bottom of the can but this is all that’s listed.

Just back from Folly/Charleston

So much beer and not enough time to go to all the breweries. Coast is a beast; their IPAs are great, as are their kolsch and their helles. Two Blokes is doing great work - a spruce tip pale ale and a blood orange hef. Hobcaw has a great orange-and-coriander hef. Charles Towne Fermentory now has an outpost near Folly for their great hazys and helles. Freehouse is always underrated, but the beer is good, and the location for sitting and sipping is fabulous.

For those who have had both, would you rate this higher, lower, or equal to Heady?

Outrageous

This stuff is THICK. And incredible. Mostly the mango and lime with just a hint of jalapeño and spice.
