It's a little slow at the moment, but it'll pick up.
Forty things to do every year in Corpus

I'm buying a house and need to move from my rental on the bluff to my new house on the bluff. My husband and oldest daughter are disabled so they can't do lifting. If I can't everything packed, is there a reasonable moving company that can load everything and move it to the new house?
How is the Corpus Christi trade center business for new vendors ? Thinking of putting my boutique there.
I’ve created a sub Reddit for the local drivers. Please join if your a driver or share if you know some one is an active driver.

What's up with that spot?
I'll put my own down.
The mansions downtown aren't pretty. They're wasted space. I never see cars parked in the driveway. And I drive down Ocean Drive all the time. They should start tearing them down one by one for business space. They should make another space for mansions. Those will probably be the first properties to blow down next major hurricane that blows through.
There's literally no spots in town that the big ass store can go. Bass Pro Shops are normally the sizes of La Palmera Mall. They're huge stores. So where is it going? How's this going to work? Any insiders here know of the location already?
I would love to hear a comparison from people who have lived in both corpus and phoenix arizona. I'm trying to decide if corpus is a worthwhile place to move my family to and phoenix is the only comparable big hot dirty city that I've lived in and know well.

Mostly a roach problem with an older house (built in 1960). Also have an opossum getting into the attic, but I'll try to take care of that myself if it's too expensive.
I hate to go with any of the bigger bug control chains since they charge stupid money.
Edit: Wow... great stuff... very helpful. Many thanks to all.
Basically the title. I know Texas ain't Arkansas, but I'd love to know if there's good forest/river camping within 2-3 hours outside of the city. Places that make you forget you live in a coastal area. I'm from NC, currently living in Florida and likely to be moving to CC in the next year. I like being near the beach, but I'm missing the freshwater streams and forests
Also, the Galveston/Houston area is another possibility(company works out of all these ports), so would they be a better bet? I'm drawn to the lower cost of living in CC, but I might bite the bullet if south eastern texas ticks those boxes better
Was in Corpus a few weeks ago and wanted to hit up an old favorite spot of mine, Casablanca Hookah Lounge off of Weber and saw it was closed. Tried looking it up to see why it closed down but couldn’t find any info. Anyone have any info on why it closed down? Miss that place!
I think this is the first year ever where not a single day in October/November has been cold.
I think the closest it came was like 69 degrees or something.
I remember being in school and November was cold as heck for many days out of the month. Like early 60s-late 50s.
It would be crazy to go through this whole month without even a single cold day.
Other than Taco Bell I haven’t found any that are not unreasonable small
Anyone know who carries this seasonal beer?
Long story short, separated with my ex wife and we rehomed one of our dogs and thankfully were able to keep two others. Just the other day animal control came to my home and dropped Duke off as he was microchipped to me, and the new owner was no longer willing to care for him(or so my ex says, she wasn't much help on that end). I would absolutely love to keep him, but I can't where I'm at...and it's not fair.
I've worked fostering animals in the past, even finding people able to rehabilitate wildlife, so I do feel strongly about this...him coming back was like a punch to my gut because he didn't hesitate at all to greet me, even though it's been over a year and a half, and he still listened to commands with that dumb, goofy face and friendly demeanor. But inside I knew that there just couldn't be more than this.
I don't want to imagine him languishing in the dog pound knowing he won't have a happy ending, but I don't have any options left. Animal shelters are full and local groups are already inundated with the massive pet population problem in this city. I'm really hoping someone can take him from me because he deserves a good home and I really don't have the means to do it at the moment. He's a super friendly dog and loves children. He's a people pleaser and active, but equally happy just lounging around with his pack.
I'm willing to pay any fees, shots, I just want him to find a loving home!
Just moved to the area and looking for a great capable doctor for my first pregnancy. I’m 10 weeks. I’d love to hear different opinions and experiences. How are the birth centers, hospitals, doctors, and midwives
