Hi guys
As the title suggest, what's do you guys think about Burger Hut. I wanted to give it a try in Bishoptown but they had already close down.
They have 4 locations in which the average rating is 2.98/5. which is sorts off putting considering many of the review says bad customer service, missing food and scams on just eats. The good review often mention the food being fresh and of good quality despite other reviews saying otherwise.
I just curious about what people think about them because I never seen a fast food chain rated so low across the board. I also never seem anybody mention them before on this forum.
It's the nearest pool to me so I'm curious. Website has an enquiry form for costs and I absolutely hate those things. Anyone have an approximate idea?
Okay, in the evening yet again walking back from Tesco around 9pm. Hope for the Homeless, the Christian outreach were out. There was shouting, aggression and the Gardai around because of it.
Yes, people need a warm drink and food. The organisation is doing good, treating people with respect.
But, the safety of others in the city in the need to be respected too. Even if it was 6pm/7pm there might be more around. People going home from work, the shops.
The city is dead. There seemed to be just a few tourists around too when I was walking by.
If there based from a church can they not have the outreach from their church or at an earlier time in town.
Town is dead and it should be liveable.
It is professional beggars, people who are needing help, addicts, drinks on Patrick Street.
Oliver Plunkett Street has more life to it.
Or/and if the city council made Patrick Street mixed use for commercial enterprise it would be better. Years ago the Savoy used to be hopping for instance.
Controversial opinion, I know. I know best to avoid that area, sometimes you forget.
Is it connected to the woman being assaulted and put in a critical condition on Sunday night?
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m exploring the idea of starting a monthly magic show in Cork and would love to hear your thoughts. The show would be an evening of interactive, close-up magic and storytelling—something a bit different for a night out!
I’m still in the early stages of planning, so your input would be super helpful:
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, let me know! Your feedback will help shape this idea into something really special. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! 😊
Yo guys do you know where you can play streetball in Cork
Hi, I'm looking for a plumber to assist with sorting an overflow ans removal of an old tank from the attic and move a radiator from one side of the room to other and the room is 10ft long.
Seems impossible to just get a plumber to do usual jobs instead of this full bathroom refit. For the above jobs I was quoted 3k.
Kind regards
For the whole 10 seconds until some junkies high off their heads started fighting on the boardwalk, shrieking hysterically as if they were getting slaughtered.
Nipped to Dealz to get some cutlery, hoping to leave that noise behind, just to see a gang of Roma women stealing without even hiding, despite multiple people screaming at them.
Bloody hell, what is going on in this city recently...
(On a positive note, the saxophone player on Olivier Plunkett was pure class!)
3rd of December and the big wheel not even a light on it. Christmas spirit? Or Christmas cancelled?
Hi Everyone!
Not sure if this is the right place to be posting this but I'm wondering does anyone have any suggestions on places in Cork that would be willing to sell some handmade crafts, specifically crochet items? I've heard that it costs quite alot to rent spaces for stalls and tbh I wouldn't really be selling enough to justify the cost. I'd be looking to sell mostly little crocheted amigurumis (small, stuffed creatures). Not sure if it's something anywhere would do, but does anybody know any shops/cafes in Cork that would be open to putting a few out for sale? 😊
Gardaí in Midleton, Co. Cork out on patrol last night came upon this car being driven through the town.
Yes, it was this extensively damaged and without its right front tyre.
When stopped, the driver was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving.

I make homemade mayonnaise regularly from scratch. I know how to make garlic mayonnaise and have made it numerous times.
What I'm looking for (longshot!) is a current or past staff member to give me the specific KC's garlic mayonnaise recipe that they use. I asked them on Instagram and to be fair they did answer but didn't go into detail. Just said don't overthink it! 😁
So, not to sound ungrateful but, I'm not looking for personal recipes or suggestions.
Thanks! 🙂
Lunchly is a KSI/Logan Paul/Mr Beast meal. It's pretty controversial online so ofc me and a friend are curious to try it to see just how bad it is. Anyone know if it's on sale anywhere in Cork?
Have one drink to get tipsy and nurse your second drink for the evening. DONT stay the whole night, that's when shit gets messy. Unless you work at Abtran, all the fun begins late in the evening😘
don't have a car and not trying to walk miles. thanks
Hi lads, do you have any idea where could I buy ceramic sushi serving set ? It's for gift so I want some a little bit fancy. I saw some really basic ones in flying tiger.
I'll try Jia Jia and other asian shops for sure. Any other ideas ?
Anyone recommend a salon in cork that does a reasonably priced hair blow dry?
So putting out a question, where are people's go to use locations for the one4all vouchers
We all get them, they can be frustrating to use. But is there any local restaurants or hotel spas or shops you frequently spend them at which are a nice suggestion that you normally wouldn't think of. (Attempting a more positive spin on a frustrating voucher)
Well lads. I’m going to try and get the parents wedding album converted from old photos to digital. They are in relatively good condition but don’t want any old chancer working on these. Any recommendations out there for converting old photos to digital.
Much appreciated
Spotted a few Derek Blighe posters around town. How long are they allowed to stay up for?
Is there parking at CUH and would it be difficult to get a space there?
Anybody else hear a loud screeching noise in and around the passage area? At roughly 6.50am this morn, woke the Mrs and i, got out of bed and looked out the window but couldnt see anything or really tell where it was coming from. Lasted maybe 30 seconds and went off into the distance. Dogs were barking all over the place.
It's that time of the year again! Come beat the winter blues (and the possible rain) with some nice free treats by the Lough! Starts at around 6:30-7:00 PM today; Get some for your kids, get some for yourself, hell, get some for the missus too, and then get some more! It's free after all.
I’ve been looking to hire a carpenter in Midleton for weeks to do 2 built in cabinets and 3 shelves, either side of the fireplace. Only one guy has gotten back to me and quoted €3200, with 70% deposit.
The guy seems decent, it’s just with him being the only answer I’ve gotten I have no context about whether that’s a decent price or not, but the deposit seems fairly high.
Anyone had a similar job done recently? Does it seem fair or would I be getting screwed?
Edit: Seems like the general consensus is the price is fair for good work, the 70% deposit is high but I’ve asked him and he dropped it to 50, and he’ll give me a vat invoice. It would always be cheaper to do it myself but a carpenter will do it better.
Hello everyone I'm in Cork for a day and have been craving a good vegetarian Ramen.
I'm in city centre till 4pm and can go nearby if needed
All recommendations welcome :)
Did the new planning application just drop the number of apartments in the old marquee site from 1000 to 176? Couldn't understand what was going on in the article.

I know where my area to park is (it's zone DD), just looking to find a full area map, and Cork City Council website seems to be useless on the issue - has anyone any ideas?
Had the opportunity to go to the States during the summer and blessed my tastebuds with the most amazing dish, a Creole Jambalaya. Been thinking about the food the last few weeks, wondering if anyone's stumbled on a place in the city or near abouts with it or something similar?
