Controllable Webcams is a community for sharing publicly accessible & controllable cameras.
Some examples include: city cameras, traffic cameras, beach cameras, weather cameras, airport cameras, and more.
We allow both controllable (PTZ: pan/tilt/zoom) and non-controllable (fixed/stationary) cameras.
Due to obvious privacy concerns, all cameras MUST be in publicly accessible locations.

Rules
Cams in private areas are not allowed, (houses etc..). A general rule of thumb, if a person on the cam would be surprised to know that people on the internet are watching them, then it's not allowed.
Cams requiring passwords are not allowed, including default or guessed passwords.
Do not link to insecam.org, instead post the direct cam link or follow instructions here.
Please flair your posts correctly.
Follow local, state and federal laws when viewing or submitting.
If necessary, tag NSFW posts.
Try some of the following sites:
Shodan.io or Censys.io (for advanced users - you must use specific search terms to find cameras)
Insecam (remember to follow insecam post instructions)

For my job, I'm looking for a free open source software that will allow me to receive video signals from ip cameras, with ptz control functions.
The computer on which the software will be installed is running Lubuntu.

Found a place I recognize IRL
Was scrolling through insecam.com, and found a camera in my city that I immediately recognized as the Mock Crest Tavern. I actually ate here a few weeks ago, and sat in a booth in this exact window, so coincidentally this was more or less my view when I was eating, hence why it was so recognizable. So weird. Their food is excellent, btw. I had a Mexican breakfast bowl that I'm still thinking about.
