Spotted at Conestoga is the most active Conestoga student-run community, and the mod team there is fantastic. Highly recommended.

Is Conestoga CPA accredited or not. Cant seem to find a concrete answer.
Hi. I'm considering doing my master's at the school, specifically Waterloo. But my finances will be maybe not impossible but tighter than I would be comfortable with. So I wanted to see if anyone has any experience, be it with managing classwork and work, or finding a job that doesn't conflict with your school schedule, or anything else you think is relevant. I also saw on the website that there are on-campus things but they're 8-10 hours a week, but I was thinking maybe 16-22 would be better. I'm not from around the area and I don't know what kind of coursework there is at the school, so let me know your thoughts about either. Is it easy or difficult? any tips? let me hear your thoughts....
I applied to Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Accounting, Audit and Information Technology and was accepted. Upon the acceptance, I looked at the subreddit and saw posts and comments describing it as a "degree mill" from a year ago. Was it a mistake applying here for this program? Or is it alright? Thank you in advance!
I know somebody who used to work at Conestoga running the several Program Advisory Committees, and she recommended that I try and join the committee for my program (business advertising). She's told me that students can join it and give feedback on the programs they're in, which sounds great.
However, on the Conestoga website, they seem to make it pretty clear that the committee entirely consists of companies in the workforce advising Conestoga on industry changes, with no students being part of the committee at all.
Is this true? She WAS working at the college at least five years ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if things have changed. On the other hand, maybe it's just an exclusive group that you have to ask to be able to join? If the latter is true I will send an email to my coordinators, so I'd love to hear if anybody knows what the answer is!
Hello, I am thinking of attending Conestoga and taking “Manufacturing Engineering Technology - Welding and Robotics” I was wondering if anyone has taken this course and how it was, what are the jobs to look for after you graduate this class and what you do. I have done research and I believe I understand what it is but was wondering if could give a personal experience.
Hello, I want to know the grade requirements to get into Computer Science undergraduate in the Waterloo campus. The college is not really responding properly., their website doesn't state any grade requirements for A levels.
Hello everyone,
I was recently accepted into this program and wanted to hear from current or former students about their experiences. What are your thoughts on the program overall, the job opportunities it opened up, and the teaching staff?
I'm particularly interested in this business insurance program because it seems to be one of the best options for acquiring most of the CIP credits.
My goal is to become an underwriter. I currently hold a diploma in Web Development from a private career college and have 3+ years of software engineering experience. However, given the current job market, I'm looking to transition into a more stable career that aligns with my skills.
At the moment, I'm considering two main paths:
Start at a local insurance company, get my foot in the door as a broker, and work my way up to an underwriting assistant role while working on my CIP on my own time.
Attend Conestoga, gain my CIP credits through the program, and position myself as a strong candidate for an underwriter role.
Any thoughts on Conestoga Business Insurance as a program as a whole or people in the insurance industry on career routes would be much appreciated!
Hey all, I searched for recommendations on this before but someone only really mentioned the quiet study in the library
On Tuesdays I have an 8-11 class and then a 1-3 online class, I don’t like to go home between these classes because if I do I will absolutely fall asleep and “nap” for 3 hours.
I’m trying to look for a quiet/less busy area where I can sit, maybe do some school work, and eat my lunch in peace. I don’t like a lot of people so this has been very challenging.
I found a stairwell that leads to nowhere in the E Wing, but the top of the stairs doesn’t have great wifi connection, my laptop can get it but not my phone, and if I wanted to do my online class there the connection cuts in and out. Its also not temperature controlled so it was freezing last week.
If anyone would be willing to share their secret spots, I just need it for Tuesdays and I promise not to share the sacred space with others! My classmates all go home after class so I wouldn’t bring them there.
I’m so desperate I almost want to ask one of the younger custodians to see if they know anywhere..
I’ve considered a classroom, but I really hate the idea of someone kicking me out because there’s a class.. Unless someone knows of a way to find out the room’s schedules?
Anyways.. Long rant.. Hopefully someone has info!!!
Thank you for reading!
Hi!
I just got into this program and I'm really curious about how the timetable is if anyone knows, I know the program is hybrid but does anyone mind sharing their schedule so I can understand how hybrid it is?
Hey guys, i’m a student at laurier but i stay in kitchener very close to conestoga doon campus and im trying to save on gas, i realised that conestoga doon station has a lot of busses going directly to laurier i wanted to ask if there’s a place in doon campus where i can park and go with the bus or if there’s is another efficient way?

Looking for a doctor in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge area who is understanding and easygoing when it comes to helping out students. If anyone has recommendations for someone who doesn’t ask too many questions and is generally helpful in providing a note, I’d really appreciate it.
Feel free to DM me if you’re more comfortable sharing privately. Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I was checking out the Bachelor of Risk, Threat, and Crime Analysis (Honours) program that Conestoga offers, and am pretty interested in it. I feel it would be a good fit for me as I really like organization, psychology, criminology, history, and this seems like a combination of at least the first three.
Is there anyone here who's done the program, knows someone who's done it, knows anyone doing it, etc. for any more info about it? I'm curious as to what actual students of the program have to say about it as I'm really considering it. Any info would help.
Thanks!
lost card was given to GRT Bus driver to take to lost and found. student number 8968437
Any insight would be helpful!
I’m trying to connect here because I have some questions about the program and your experience. Please reply if you’d be available for some questions.
I want to rent a locker in the TSB building, but the website says none are available. There are plenty of lockers that are still zip-tied so I get the impression that they're not rented. Who can I contact about checking if there are truly no lockers left in TSB?
Just curious about psw 6months fast track,im currently enrolled in 6months program,,instructors have no idea regarding placement hours any one have the idea or experience please enlighten me

I am applying to programs that start in Sept 2025, but I am currently taking courses that end on June 30th at a University in Alberta. So would I have to order the transcripts immediately after finishing the courses and hope to get in? Or is there any other option? This is my first time applying to an Ontario college, with entirely out-of-province transcripts/education. Thanks in advance! :)
are all classes online?
did anyone complete the bscn.. was it entirely online?
I’m looking for a good local college offering this course and am hoping that someone is willing to share their experience with taking this program. I not a foreign student in case that matters.
Hi folks!
My name is Audra and I am a journalism student at Conestoga.
I’m working on a news story about the GRT U-Pass that was introduced for full-time students at our Downtown Kitchener (DTK), Doon, Waterloo, Cambridge Fountain St., and Cambridge Reuter St. campuses this past fall. I want to hear your thoughts and opinions on the program:
You can share your feedback by filling out this anonymous Google Form or by messaging me directly if you’d prefer. Your responses will help shape the final article and ensure student voices are included.
Thank you for your input—I look forward to hearing from you!
Hey everyone,
I'm considering pursuing a graduate certificate in Infection Prevention and Control and came across two programs:
I'm finishing up my bachelors of science, biological sciences degree this year and was wondering if anyone has experience with either of these programs (or similar ones). Or other programs in relations to public health or bioinformatics.
Specifically, I’d love to know:
Any advice or insights would be super helpful. Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm hoping this post reaches any students currently enrolled in the medical laboratory science program (advanced diploma). I've applied for this coming Fall (have yet to hear back), but was wondering about the accreditation process. I know that the program is currently "registered", so it is in the process of becoming accredited, but does anyone know how long until it is officially accredited? Have you spoken with any instructors who may have insight? My biggest fear is that it won't end up getting accredited and then the whole 3 years would kind of be a waste (since you can only work as a MLT if you are able to take the exam after graduating from an accredited program- if the program isn't accredited, you don't qualify). Is there much uncertainty? I know it's a relatively new program, but won't there be students graduating either this year or next? What if the program isn't accredited by then?
Does anyone else find this timetable process weird? Why am I forced to take 8 am-9 am classes? I DON'T LIKE WAKING UP SO EARLY IN THE MORNING. Some classes are held twice a week which makes it even worse. When I went to Sheridan, they gave us the option to choose the timings of our classes and online/in-person chouse. Why is it different at Conestoga? Why can't we choose the time of the classes. I also cannot afford the Go Bus fare, so it's not fair they get to choose for us. Anyone else agree with me?
Hey I'm looking at Conestoga's new Bachelor of Arts program as a second option this coming year, If any one else who as attended/been a teacher of animation courses at this school tell me if it's a sufficient second choice and what the faculty are like?
I hear that a lot of people are applying for their next program after first semester. I'm in pre-health advanced, going for the paramedic program. Just asking, in the open, if I should already be applying for the paramedic program, even though I'm just starting the second semester?
Going to start in the fall at the Guelph Campus. I have started looking for a place to stay near by but everything is with other university students. I would love to find a place with other college students or even by myself. Any suggestions on where to look or avoid or even anyone on here looking for a room mate?
