Was a concert poster made for this show? Can’t seem to find it anywhere. Any advice/suggestions/info would be appreciated 🙏.
I decided to take a break from most social media. The only one I miss is Instagram mainly because I followed lots of concert poster artists and the pages that show them off. Does anyone know of alternative websites that post daily posters? Or any other avenue to see them outside of the mainstream social media sites? Thank you.
Sorry I took the photo at an angle, and tried to “de-anglify” it using the robust tool suite in Apple iPhone photos. This was the best I could do. The bottom text saying “error design” is not printed off kilter on the real thing.
Alright, this is obviously a longggggg shot, but figured I’d give it the old college try.
The Alabama Shakes are one of the most important bands in my life, and I got to see them perform at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater (Aug. 20, 2015) while I was at UA. I’ve been trying to find literally any kind of poster from that show, and I can’t find anything.
If anyone knows of one or can point me in a direction I haven’t already looked, that would be awesome. If not, oh well. Thanks y’all.
Hey guys, looking to buy my first portfolio and have been doing research on what company to go to, and it seems to be between Itoya and Baroque. Looking just for a 18x24, not moving them around often or anything just something to store in my home and look at occasionally. Is spending the extra money for a Baroque really necessary? I keep seeing people say they’re better quality but other than having a zipper I’m not seeing what is so much better about it, unless you go for the bigger 24x36 which I don’t need. Would I be fine with going with an Itoya for my needs?
I’ve just recently started to collect some posters. Had a few from concerts ive attended over the years with plans of someday framing and displaying them, but over the past year I’ve bought probably 15-20 more. Some foils, some regular. My question is what do you typically spend from a frame place to have them framed, some of my posters were inexpensive, 100 or less, some much more. Is it worth paying a lot to professionally frame on a cheaper poster, or do you guys just store them in a folder?
such a killer show. hope they tour again one day
Hi all. I've been enjoying this subreddit lately but like many others I've noticed an issue with a lack of moderation. I looked into it and discovered the subreddit was moderated by 3 accounts, 2 of which were suspended and the other deleted. I've never done this before but I requested the community and was immediately granted the moderator role while the old mod accounts were removed.
I'm pretty pleased with this outcome! I didn't have much interest in moderating, but I would love to see this community grow and be an awesome source of concert posters and discussion. I'd like to hear from this community what you all would like to see more and less of, so please let me know in the comments any thoughts you have.
Probably not the most fun way to start things out, but I'm going to add a couple of posting rules that should alleviate the problems that made me even begin this process. I believe (and hope!) that these are low-hanging fruit that should be widely accepted and appreciated, but I am of course open to feedback.
If you see any violations, please use the report button to let me know and I will remove the post or user to keep this community focused on the hobby we all love and are here to appreciate! Other than that I plan to be pretty hands-off and let the community be what it wants to be. Happy post(er)ing!
For those who are experienced with framing their own posters:
Do you have a recommendation on a standard black metal frame (Amazon, Michael’s, etc.)
Do you apply a foam backing to your posters?
Any challenges that you experienced?
Thanks
