Previously a few years ago I wanted to get into reading and collecting Batman so I bought the first 3 volumes in the new 52 but didn’t really read them until a few weeks ago, which is when I decided I wanted to really get into it. I also had injustice year one and the dark knight trilogy screenplay which I decided to include in my collection (idk why).
Hi everyone,
I have at least 30 shortboxes and some long boxes that I just have piled on top of each other 6 high and two shortboxes deep in my garage. I'd like to get some advice/recommendations on kind of shelving that would have a shelf underneath each row of boxes so the bottom row of boxes isn't taking all the weight of the boxes above it...
Wondering if anyone has Ryan Armand comics they would sell me? Specifically looking for Great vol 1&2 and Modern Fried Snake 1&2. Send a message or comment if you have any or know someone with them. Thanks 🙏
I’m not sure which one to get.
I've always enjoyed looking at this subreddit, and finally I'm happy to put my own picture up. I thought I'd just explain a few things first though - I'm 49 years old basked in the UK, and from the age of 13 - 21 I avidly collected comics (The Sandman, Hellblazer, Animal Man, Doom Patrol, anything 2000AD related, a ton load of Batman, etc, etc,) but after badly breaking my leg and being out of work for six months as I wasn't allowed to put any weight on it, l slowly sold my collection.
Cut to 2019, and I broke up with my long-term partner, moved in to a new (quite small) space, and when in a local charity shop I spotted some graphic novels I was fond of 30 years ago, and since then I've gradually built up my collection. A lot of it is from charity shops (I'm very lucky to live in London and know a number of shops that have a graphic novels section), Ebay or Amazon (every birthday or Christmas I've asked for Amazon vouchers from my mother and sister) though I would say a good few are brand new that I've paid full price for - or even more if it's out of print and something I really wanted.
It's also very much still a work in progress, but rediscovering comics at this late(ish) stage in life has been an absolute joy, and while I've read about three quarters of them, there's still a quarter I'm very much looking forward to reading soon. And there are very definitely series that I want to buy again, including The Sandman and Alias and.... Well, I could go on and on but I've rambled away too much as it is.
So, yeah, this is a collection of different shelves in my bedroom that I've photoshopped to fit in to one image...
Most looking forward to Red Sonja!
Didn't expect Nextwave to be so good for a 00s book. Actually quite impressive. Also a pleasant surprise to find a Marvel Zombies story continuation in Black Panther Civil War Aftermath comic book. Its as dark as it could be
Sorry if this isn't the right forum to ask, but I'm thinking about getting some kallax shelves, mostly I have Image HCs and standard-sized TPBs. How many of each of those would you say fits into each shelf-box?
