Me and my buddies are gonna be back in College Station and I'm curious if anyone on here has experience doing a bottle share at a bar or somewhere in town.
I'm not sure where to go for this question - but I'm looking to get some Dammit Jim! beer from New Republic Brewing shipped to me here in Vermont. Because they don't ship, I need to enlist the help from Redditors! If you are interested in doing this - it would make my good friend's day/week/month/year! It would really mean a lot. PM me if you're up for this and we can discuss details.
Just found this subreddit this morning.... I'm about to order hops rhizomes as soon as I can (March is earliest available) and see how well they do growing here, consequently after try doing my first home brew. Cheers!
Whats everyone planning on drinking this Thanksgiving? I think I'll crack open a 2012 Pumpkinator and a Bishops Barrel 6 for the occasion.
Hope y'all have a great Turkey Day!
...and it's great!
As we get to the middle of August I'm sure we've all had our fair share of summer beer. What's something you've enjoyed or frequented this summer and why?
For me its been More Cowbell by Buffalo Brewery out of Houston. It's a double IPA that comes in tall boys. Pretty drinkable for a double and gets the job done fast!
Wish I was here for this one!
Jamaican barrel aged imperial stout (12%). Notes of rum, coconut and vanilla.
If anyone tries this, let me know what you think! Pirate Bomb! is like on the top of my wish list and this should be rather similar.
Thanks and Gig 'em!
Although this sub is fairly slow, its great to see it break 100! Bryan/College Station has a super underrated beer community IMO. I've since graduated and haven't seen anything close for a town of its size.
Keep sharin upcoming events and spread the sub to any Reddit friends y'all have!
Thanks and Gig 'em

Tower Point has since sold out and I'm sure Specs did today or is close. They were doing a 1 bottle limit. HEB Holleman has yet to receive theirs.
If y'all haven't ever had a KBS, I HIGHLY recommend it. Imperial Stouts are my favorite style and this might be my favorite take on it. Seriously good stuff.
I'd like to find at least 1 more!
I'd be willing to trade for one!
If any of y'all have had it, how was it?? Sold out super fast
The first beer event for Strange Land in the BCS area, so don't miss the chance to try several offerings at once.
It will include:
The barleywine and braggot are from their small batch reserves, and there will be snifter glassware available.
Bonus for those who read this far: Washbangers currently has Yellow Rose on tap. Grab some while it lasts.
~$17/bottle
11%ABV
Has anyone had this? I've heard it's suppose to be good, but have never tried it personally.
Was available today at Specs Harvey, HEB Tower Point and HEB Bryan. Should be available at HEB Holloman by 9am tomorrow.
No bottle limits at HEB, not sure about Specs.
Happy hunting!
