Hi everyone,
The platform is an educational application designed to help young children improve their pronunciation through targeted, customized activities that align with their unique learning needs. Now, as the project approaches its next big milestone, I’m seeking a business-oriented co-founder to join me on this journey.
Ideally for someone who’s ready to dive deep into customer support, marketing, and fundraising, especially if they have prior experience in the edtech or speech pathology sectors—or the enthusiasm to learn and grow in these areas. The scope of the role includes managing customer relationships, developing marketing strategies, and working on fundraising initiatives to help scale the platform. Since we’re targeting a unique niche with this application, a background in education technology or speech therapy would be a tremendous asset, as you’d understand the value this app brings to both parents and educators in helping kids achieve better pronunciation and language fluency.
A Little About the Application
This application leverages AI in a way that allows for the creation of activities tailored to the phonemes a child is currently working on. It functions in both Spanish and English, opening up access to a broader audience. The AI evaluates a child’s pronunciation accuracy and adapts to each user’s familiarity with technology, using a loop that gauges how comfortable a child is with the app’s UX. Through this feature, the platform can provide an experience that is neither too challenging nor too simplistic, ensuring a comfortable learning environment for each child.
One of the key inspirations behind the app’s development was the widely popular content by Ms. Rachel on YouTube, which has made an impact on millions of young viewers. In addition, my own background in edtech has shaped many aspects of the app’s design and functionality, allowing me to apply insights from past projects to build something that truly makes learning interactive, engaging, and effective.
About My Background
I bring over a decade of tech and edtech experience, having previously worked with Microsoft for five years and with Wayfair during its rapid growth phase for another five years. During my tenure at both companies, I gained valuable insights into scaling technology platforms and meeting the needs of diverse customer bases. Additionally, I helped a bootstrap company grow from ground zero to a team of twenty. I also had a successful exit in 2012 when I sold a small tech bootcamp I had co-founded, which gave me firsthand experience in bringing an idea from conception to sale.
What I’m Looking For in a Co-Founder
What I really need in a co-founder is someone who can help take this project to the next level through business and operational strengths. The ideal partner would be someone local or willing to meet in person at least a few times each month. This proximity is important, as face-to-face collaboration can be invaluable in making strategic decisions, building trust, and ensuring alignment as we grow.
If you have a background in or a passion for customer support, marketing, or fundraising, and if you’re excited about working in the edtech or speech therapy space, I’d love to connect. This project is about creating a tool that can truly make a difference in the early development stages for kids, and with the right partner, I believe we can bring this vision to life and make a lasting impact.
Thanks for taking the time to read about this opportunity. Let’s connect if you feel this aligns with your skills, experience, and goals!
Hey! I’m on the lookout for a tech-driven co-founder who’s ready to jump into the world of edtech with a fresh, mobile-first approach. The idea is simple but has been quietly persistent, and it’s reached a stage where it’s ready for action. Isikolo is about building a platform where learners can find meaningful, engaging content and where creators, educators, and mentors can share their knowledge without traditional constraints.
A Bit About Me and the Vision for Isikolo
I come from a background in content, marketing, and growth strategy, with a good chunk of experience in the edtech space. The market is flooded with platforms, but I feel there's still room to innovate, especially for the individual learner—someone looking to upskill, explore interests, or develop in-demand competencies. Isikolo isn’t a traditional B2B SaaS platform with some AI bolted on; it's a B2C product at heart, laser-focused on improving user engagement, retention, and satisfaction for both learners and creators.
The platform’s design centers on two distinct user journeys:
The plan right now is to build an MVP, something that’s not only functional but also attractive and engaging enough to grab early adopters and give us solid feedback. I’ve got a rough PRD outlined, but I’m eager to partner with someone who can make this more than just an idea on paper.
Who I’m Looking For
I’m looking for someone open, driven, and ready to take ownership of tech. If you’re a seasoned tech lead on your second or third startup, that’s awesome, but I’m also excited to go through this journey with someone on their very first co-founder role. What matters to me most is the mindset—a bias toward action, a willingness to experiment and iterate, and a commitment to bringing this idea to life, no matter how many pivots or changes we need to make along the way.
Ideally, you’d be able to:
Why Partner with Me on This?
I bring strong expertise in content, marketing, and growth, and I know the importance of getting early users and building a loyal base. I’m fully committed to taking on the marketing, user acquisition, and business development aspects. I’ve been exploring partnerships and potential investment opportunities, including YC’s co-founder matching platform, though I haven’t yet found the right partner there.
The ultimate vision is to create a product that stands out in edtech. I want to create something that’s not only useful but that feels good to use. A platform that makes learning feel natural, fun, and social. If you’ve ever wanted to see what it’s like to build a B2C platform from the ground up with a team that’s willing to adapt, learn, and grow together, this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Get
Beyond co-founder equity, I’m offering a partner who values transparency, collaboration, and creativity. I’m not here to dictate terms or put up walls; I want someone who’ll feel equally passionate about making Isikolo real. I’ve got a vision, yes, but I’m here to build this with a team—a team that’s curious, persistent, and ready to challenge each other. You’ll be as much a part of this product’s DNA as I am, and I’m looking forward to building something we can both proudly call ours.
In Closing
If you’re reading this and something resonates, I’d love to chat. Let’s connect and see if there’s alignment. I can share the high-level deck and rough PRD, and we can talk about how we can approach this as a team. It’s early days, and I’m open to ideas, suggestions, and the kind of bold thinking that can turn this idea into something real. Let's build, test, learn, and grow this together—whether it’s our first startup or our third.
Hi, I am looking for a business cofounder and technical cofounder to join me in my mission to help people socialize in-person more through charity dining.
What I'm working on
I'm working on BrightOn, a consumer social app that works with nonprofits and seeks to leverage the $1094 billion restaurant market (this is in the U.S. alone!). Basically, it aims to couple an existing behavior- dining out at restaurants- with incremental donations and social media and in doing so, looks to tackle the high technology usage epidemic and increase the amount of offline socialization at the same time.
The behavior I'm aiming to produce
I'm pairing dining out with small donations and posting about the event on social media to reinforce dining out. Inevitably, social media is a prominent behavior especially among Gen Z. Small donations (think $2, $3) will help a positive feedback loop where people feel good about what they do - and this is less than the amount for a soft drink that people order at restaurants.
This will change the face of socialization where, like tipping at a restaurant, they donate to a nonprofit or a friend. And this will encourage people to keep dining out at restaurants (a pre-existing behavior) through BrightOn.
What I've done so far
I've hashed out an informational landing page that serves as a waitlist, but not a lot of people have signed up for the waitlist. I have even made it gamified with a voting system for restaurants that people want to see partner with us but no one is voting either. I've worked with an influencer but not a lot of signups for the waitlist came from that, so I am really at my wits end and need to either come up with ways for more people to sign up for the waitlist or just launch the app and market it in amazingly creative ways.
What we need to accomplish
We need to launch the app and do testing in market for the positive loop feedback (product stickiness). Everywhere you look you see this psychology- from exercising to bake sales, charity walks and PTA fundraisers. It's basic habit formation for something that has a reward (in this case it's doing something good and seeing social media about it). The tricky part is getting people to form these habits in the beginning.
I would need to work with a technical cofounder and business cofounder to launch the app and spin up some great ideas to get BrightOn up and running.
About me
I have experience in everything from market research, digital marketing, sales, product support, media operations at YouTube and fundraising. I am definitely a generalist that likes to wear many hats and thrive when working on my own project. I have been trying to work on BrightOn since February of this year, but think I would much more productive when working with and bouncing ideas off of cofounders.
About you
I care about your character first and experience second. I believe experience cannot make up for pure grit and perseverance. I will be examining your professional experience but believe it needs to complement your character.
Revenue model
I can share the business model (this would be a for-profit business) with you if you are interested in learning more.
Are you interested? If so, please DM me.
Consumer social is not easy and is not for the faint of heart. If you want to put your head down and work with me to launch BrightOn and make BrightOns a reality, there is significant upside. (hint: $1094 billion U.S. restaurant market). Please DM me with questions and comments and I will get back to you.
Hi Reddit Community, I'm the creator of Campfire Hosting, a Minecraft server host where you pay for what you play. CH is unique from most other server hosts as you're only charged for the time that your server is online. CH servers automatically start when someone tries to connect, and stop a few minutes after the last player disconnects.
I released Campfire Hosting to the public around 6 months ago and have just over 500 sign ups and $1.5k in total revenue. The target demographic is primarily males aged 16-26 who enjoy video games and tech.
I'm a senior software engineer who is currently a technical lead at HubSpot (I've been there for 4.5 years now). In the past I've worked as a freelance developer working on projects that span various technologies, both frontend and backend. I also have experience in the devops space and built CH's infrastructure to run on K8s (RKE/Rancher, specifically) with full CI/CD capabilities (ArgoCD/GitHub actions).
I started Campfire Hosting as a side project to solve a problem that I personally ran into when I was younger running my own MC server. I've received positive feedback regarding the service from those who have tried it and have recurring customers who have been using the platform for a few months now.
I'm looking for a cofounder that can assist me in the strategy, operations, and marketing space. While I have some business acumen (e.g. I've completed HBS' CORe program), my passions and professional experience lie in software/product development. A cofounder would ideally:
So far I've tried Google Ads with some success, but my hunch is that my campaigns weren't well optimized and could have performed better. I've also tried promoting CH through Minecraft YouTubers and have seen much better conversion rates compared to standard ads.
I believe that there are more low/no cost marketing avenues that could be explored (e.g. social media) that I just haven't gotten around to yet. I'm open to experimenting with email campaigns as well but lack experience.
Currently Campfire Hosting only supports Minecraft as a video game that it hosts. Minecraft is, of course, a massive game with over 1 million active daily users and I'd like to focus on that market until its sufficiently reached. In the future I plan on expanding to other video games that allow dedicated server hosting.
In the far far future I have ideas about turning Campfire Hosting into a platform for video game companies to host their servers on a "pay as you go" model.
If this interests you please feel free to send me a DM. I'd like to hear about your experience, your thoughts on Campfire Hosting, and location. I'm open to working with anyone inside the US.
My name is Sabatino and I've been a professional developer for +- 11 years and I'm based in Ghent, Belgium.
Over the years, I realised my dev skills are ideally complimented by someone with marketing/distribution experience.
Over the pas years, I’ve built several smaller side projects (including AI tools) that have some revenue:
AI Avatar generator (Imagined with AI, you can google it)
I won't blame you if you think: 'another one' - but, I was actually one of the very first ones to create a tool like this (you can fact-check me on this!). This tool was launched in october of 2022, before other popular services had built AI avatar generators.
Generated +- €15k in total lifetime sales with barely any marketing effort. The biggest sales drivers were B2B integration with other services (that allowed me to sell credits in bulk).
AI Avatar generator for dogs (AI Puppy, you can google it)
Same tool as above, pivoted specifically for dogs. I also created a dedicated mobile app in the Apple appstore for this tool.
+- €10k revenue, this one has quite some potential still and I'm working on an iteration of the project with its own dedicated domain and branding.
AI photo studio tool (Studio deepfake, you can google it)
After the avatar hype was over, I created a spin-off that focused on photorealistic images (again, before other popular tools had become mainstream):
This tool generated +- €8k in total lifetime sales.
There's great potential here still. With the release of newer models the output is becoming better and better. The potential here is (imo) creating separate micro sites that focus around 1 specific theme (eg. generating soccer jerseys).
AI Faceless video generator
I started a YouTube channel in february of 2024 and grew to 3k subs so far talking about my developer expertise. I created a demo project for a faceless video generator (since that’s pretty hype right now), and I got some nice responses to the point I created a commercial version.
This is pretty new, so no revenue yet, but even though it's becoming a saturated market I still believe there is massive potential. I have recently gotten the necessary approval from TikTok to upload videos automatically, so there's nothing standing in the way of starting to market this tool.
I’ve got the dev skills needed to build these tools, but I want to partner with someone who can take them to the next-level marketing wise. As stated above, most of the tools generate (some) revenue, and I can build these things pretty quick, but my marketing skills / distribution skills are not great. This means I'm usually surpassed by other tools (which often are worse in experience, but they have better distribution).
My ideal co-founder would ideally be skilled in distributing these type of projects through through Tiktok/Meta/Google etc.
I'm willing to invest time & money into these projects and I'm motivated to keep developing new things and keep myself up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Overview:
We help North American Companies improve their cash flow by getting credit terms out of their existing Chinese Suppliers.
We are selling giving companies more time to pay their Chinese suppliers, at no cost to them.
If they are one of the majority of SMBs in the world who have to pay their Chinese Supplier in full before the product can ship, then there is technically no reason they should say no.
It’s almost like selling free money.
I have capital of my own to invest and a lot of industry knowledge. My partner already has a lender lined up to fund further transactions at no risk to us, which should help us scale fast.
There is essentially no competition for what we do, but huge global demand.
The problem:
The most common payment terms from Chinese suppliers are 30% deposit to start production, then 70% balance before they will release the shipment. It then takes roughly 30 days for the inventory to get to the client’s door. This is very hard on a company’s cash flow. It’s a lot of expense, long before they receive the inventory to then sell/ consume. This is the benchmark, the terms they likely have from China.
Standard terms in the US are Net30. Which means you don’t pay for the goods for 30 days after you receive them. This is the dream, the terms they wish they had from China as well.
The problem I want to solve is having to pay Chinese Suppliers in full before the product ships. I want to improve cash flow for companies.
It’s simply too risky for Chinese Suppliers to extend payment terms to foreign buyers. Almost nothing they can do from China if the company doesn’t pay. This isn’t necessarily the case for US suppliers because US suppliers have tools available to them to mitigate that risk that Chinese suppliers do not.
The Solution:
We want to leverage US payment options to offer to Chinese Suppliers.
No matter who you buy from in China, there is likely hundreds if not thousands of suppliers who could provide it. This means there is tons of competition in China. Suppliers are desperate to get new customers. And more importantly here, desperate to keep the customers they have.
What we do is sell the US companies on the value of credit terms and the effect on their cash flow. Then explain that we, as a free service, can often get credit terms out of their existing Chinese Supplier. The US company just has to say ‘OK’. Which I believe to be an easier sale than having something to sell that costs them money.
We then leverage that strong China competition to essentially force the Chinese Supplier into a Reverse Factoring situation. This is a normal funding mechanism, just not something that is leveraged in this way.
We are just proactively creating the scenario where the Supplier doesn’t have a choice if they want to keep the customer. If the supplier still says no, we actually make more money than had they said yes. And that supplier could lose a lot more than just the one client.
But if the Supplier says yes, with my expertise in the industry, we can target ALL of their competitors North American customers and drive a ton more business too them.
We can literally make or break a Chinese supplier’s North American business. We will eventually be known across China for that, relieving a lot of our Lead Gen/ Sales pressure. Allowing us to then focus on scale.
But that’s all in the secret sauce we can discuss in person.
How we make money:
We essentially become matchmaker, interjecting our funding partner(s) in-between these high dollar transactions that happen every day. Global trade that happens without credit terms is a multi-trillion dollar opportunity that is relatively untouched for this market.
Because of our structure, we are seen as more of a “Sales Agent” for the Chinese Suppliers. Chinese Suppliers are often willing to pay significantly more in sales commission than Factoring companies charge for the credit terms. Our profit is the delta between the cost of credit and the amount we can charge for helping Chinese suppliers grow.
Our moat is our unique relationships with both Chinese Suppliers, US companies and US lenders. As well as our deep and specific industry knowledge of tools that very few even know exist, let alone how we will be able to use tech enabled access to make efficient.
What has been done so far:
I have tested the concept on a couple of my existing clients with my own capital. It worked great and everyone was happy. Yes, we made profit.
I haven’t been able to test further on my clients because I already offer them credit terms as part of my normal business service. So I already offer credit terms. Offering now this new service was starting to confuse clients since they already received what I offered. Next step is to find new clients to sell the concept. That’s the first thing I want help with.
I do have a well thought out plan, along with cold-call scripts, direct mail prototypes, etc.
I also have a .com and a .cn website, but no traffic due to not advertising at all. And a dedicated phone number.
About me:
I (45M) have been developing Supply Chains as a business for over 15 years. I’m based out of Minnesota and mostly source/ Import for US/CAN companies from my Suppliers in China. It was through this experience that I noticed a huge problem in the global supply chain, and a unique way to solve it.
About you:
I have the Supplier side down. My partner has the capital side down. What we need is the B2B lead generation and sales.
I have access to US customs records that is invaluable to my planned sales strategy. That strategy is the secret sauce and is quite unique. I can explain in person, but rest assured, it’s not just contacting them trying to sell something to them (Even though it’s free). It is a more personable approach.
- That data needs to be enriched. You should be well versed in leveraging whatever tools there are for this. Including low-cost labor VAs, AI, Clearbit, etc. Anything to identify the right people at the companies in my US customs lists.
- We need to start contacting these people. You should be well versed in leveraging whatever tools there are for this. Including email warm-up, email campaign, linkedin outreach, cold-call, direct mail (Yes, that is in my strategy), possibly even content marketing (Though this isn’t a priority, I’ll explain why in person).
- You need to build the funnel, setup/ manage the CRM. You would talk to the first people, which could be the sale there, otherwise setup meetings for me to go over details with them. Otherwise, we need you and your sales expertise to tell us the most optimal path after hearing our specifics.
You would be asked to start very small. Take the lists I have and try to sell them.
We are absolutely going to start “Lean” and by validating the idea further before investing a lot of capital into infrastructure. We are fans of “The Mom Test” and “The Right It”, and we expect you to be the same.
The business idea is simple, create a music streaming service that actually pays the artist a fair share.
I wanted to cover the ethos behind this idea first as it's a major part of the business and how it will be run and ultimately determines if we will be a good fit for each other or not.
Some of these will be deal breakers for many so please take your time to think about your own values and if they align. I believe we can be ethical, give everyone their fair share and still make a lot of money for ourselves. This is the one advantage we will always have over Spotify or any large company, our decisions don't have to be dictated by profit, and therefore will always be a better product to the end user.
In an interview, Snoop Dogg revealed that he only got $45K for one of his songs that hit 1 billion streams. It's also widely recognized that streaming killed the traditional revenue stream of artists and forced them to go back to Touring and doing more concerts. On average an artist gets $0.005 per stream.
My goal is to turn streaming into a viable option for artists of all size to earn their dues again, where simply releasing an album should be enough and that touring becomes an OPTION, not a requirement.
I've done some calculations and believe we can offer a significantly higher price per stream to the artist. And I do mean significantly.
The two main expertise I need is
Business Cofounder
Ideally someone who is experienced in business and legal. The legal experience is not a must have but there will be licencing and legal agreements to put into place. Be able to set up and run the company in a way that satisfies all our tax obligations etc.
Music Industry Cofounder
Looking for someone who has connections in the industry. It's not going to be a hard sell convincing labels or artists that we want to give them 10x the money they are currently making from streaming. But I do think it could be difficult to get in front of the right people to pitch the idea.
My background is in Tech, been doing it for 15 years. The majority of my time spent was coding web and mobile applications, creating custom CRM's for businesses. So I can handle everything regarding the IT infrastructure we need. This includes an admin backend, front facing website, web and mobile app for iOS and Android. I have made a start on the MVP and will do most of the coding myself initially, we can then work on creating a team around us to upscale production.
Many apps have managed to find good solutions to problems, some of which have become household names. But these solutions get executed with poor ethics and greed, leaving both the vendors and customers unhappy at the end of the day, with the only people left happy are the app creators.
Let's strive for a better world!

I've been building typeup(dot)co (sub doesn't allow links), a tool to create stunning PowerPoint decks faster and easier. TypeUp brings together LLM content generation, object alignment, layouts, and slide reformatting features. For now, it's a free Windows desktop app that works with any corporate template.
WHAT MAKES TYPEUP DIFFERENT
PROBLEM
Over 500 million people around the world use PowerPoint. The average employee spends about 20 hours per month creating PowerPoint presentations and approximately 40% of time is spend on formatting.
I use PowerPoint a lot professionally and I cannot tell you how much time I waste formatting stupid slides, wordsmithing the perfect message, finding icons etc. It is absolutely ridiculous that I and many many others waste our working days like this.
That's the reason why I started building. The vision is to never have to format or research content again.
The beta version is ok, but has some obvious limitations and flaws and there is a lot more that I think is possible. Just for context, Gamma, a similar(ish) app has recently raised 10m.
The beta version is built in pure python. Work has been piling up a little and I would like to find 1-2 cofounder(s) to help build the app further. The first big change is somewhat of a refactor to make it a MS Office Web Add-In which requires JS and a backend (would say fastapi or django).
TRACTION AND GROWTH
I haven't done any marketing yet, right now the app has been downloaded 50x and growing organically (ca. 2-3 ppl per day rn).
However, at this stage I’m probably more concerned with making typeUp loved by a small target audience, rather than adding a ton of users. Since it doesn't have authentication or usage metrics, I don't know much about the users yet. Probably the first order of business. My initial thought is to focus on management consultants. Being one myself I feel most qualified to solve their problems.
ABOUT ME
I'm a self taught, python dev by night, and know my way around python and FastAPI well enough to build most things I wanted to build. By day, I'm a consultant at a top management consulting firm. Prior I was the founder and CEO of a successful tech startup that builds a site management platform for large infrastructure and construction projects which I left a year ago.
My strengths a definetly on the biz side but for this project I'm expecting to do a bit of everything.
COFOUNDER
I'm a pretty high performer and I'm looking for a similar profile to myself. Specifically, high degree of tech skills, and good understand of how to build good product quickly. This is important to me because I believe only when you have a lot of really smart people working on a problem can you create something that will be worth while spending time on.
Given the current stack, you also need a deep understanding of Python and JS. Preferably you also know either fastapi or django. There are still major technical decisions that need to be made e.g. DB, broader stack, cloud provider etc. so really keen to collaborate with someone to make these choices.
COMMITMENT
This is very much a side hustle for me at the moment but it would be good if you can dedicate solid time after work and on weekends. If we push things a long quickly and get the traction we need, I'm also totally up for going full time.
EQUITY
I’m very open to splitting equity equally but this definitely needs to be grounded in everyone pulling their weight equally. Much more to discuss here.
DM me if interested.
(Pls no agency or freelance spam)
My app is called Gluey. The easiest way to think of it as Airtable for notes.
If you're note familiar with Airtable, they added database-like functionality to spreadsheets. They are a $12B company now.
Gluey has added database-like functionality to notes. This might not sound exciting, but most applications are just ways to store and retrieve information. If you can store and retrieve information consistently and in the format needed, then you have a no-code capability from your simple notes (similar to what Airtable does with spreadsheets).
Gluey has a patent-pending approach to simplify data-modeling (a database term) with tags. Gluey has expanded the functionality of the simple tag and given it a tag taxonomy (meaning and relationships). Gluey helps users capture better (concise, consistent) notes, and retrieve notes using data mining.
Me: I'm a senior software engineer with some product, marketing, and sales experience. I've worked at Google at several other startups and well known companies.
Co-founder: My perfect business partner would be fearless, a workaholic (like me), and be able to wear many hats. Full or part-time is fine, but definitely want someone who can commit to the project. Initially, content marketing and sales would be the primary focus. I have many ideas for content, so this would be a collabortive effort. I'm also open to advisory roles too.
Gluey has several marketing challenges, but there are many other companies (including Airtable) who have overcome similar challenges. My initial focus is on identifying the customer persona, reaching out to beta testers, and following the Agile approach of iterating to find product-market fit. I'm open to other ideas.
I'm still trying to figure out my niche. Gluey solves a horizontal problem, meaning it works for any industry, but it's hard to market horizontal products (IMHO, maybe you have a diff view). Note taking apps are horizontal products and it's a very competitive market. There are thousands of apps and most of them claim to solve the same problem. My goal is to find a specific niche for Gluey.
I've gotten positive feedback from people in legal, construction, real estate, sales, startups, project management, etc, but each of those markets also has dedicated products.
One of the benefits of Gluey is that is can solve multiple problems (eg. CRM, project management) all in one app. Specialized apps will likely have some better features, but they would also not be as customizable as Gluey. One of Gluey's key benefits is its flexibility to support any type of data and templates.
Another area where Gluey has to the potential to shine is team collaboration. Collaborative notes are generally limited to team documents. Gluey changes the dynamic of communicating and sharing. Instead of explicitly distributing notes through email or a shared folder, Gluey enhances our everyday notes to make them shareable and discoverable. This allows information to resurface when it is needed and avoids pushing information onto people who may not be ready to process it.
I'm happy to chat with anyone who is interested in learning more for any reason. Please feel free to contact me. I'm also open to bartering time ( you help me with Gluey and I'll help you with your project).
I'm here to talk about my product, Senpai. We're live on Android.
It's a new dating app for anime fans.
Niche dating apps are the future, and anime is a huge niche.
People are flocking away from generalized dating apps like Tinder and Bumble, to more niche datings apps. Anime is a huge niche with large potential. The market share in the US is scheduled to double by 2030. The writing is on the wall: an anime movie won an Oscar, the main character from "One Piece" was in last year's Thanksgiving Parade, McDonalds is currently running an anime themed advertising campaign. From millennials to Gen Z, anime is engrained in pop culture!
We launched our MVP back in February, and learned a lot from it. We have to move away from Tinder-like swiping and the "hookup app" stigma.
We faced some trouble getting onto iOS (you can find the reasons in my post history). The iOS App Store reviewer contest that our app contains features of already existing apps on the market. I can only assume they mean the Tinder-like swiping mechanic.
What we found is that our user base, though active, are scattered across the map. Our profiles per square mile are too little, so people swipe on the 30-40 nearby profiles, before running out and killing retention.
Our mentors at Founder Institute echoed these concerns, calling us "anime Tinder". Which is a good comparison, but not who we want to be. He also said we needed an "anime hook", which I agreed with.
So, after wracking my brain, I decided on video chat. Not just normal video chat, but chatting anonymously using 3D anime avatars and facial recognition. PM me for looks at this feature.
To address some common concerns:
I can share designer mocks in private.
Development is underway and the video chat has been tested. We use Flutter and `flutter_unity_widget` to pull this off. We're pushing to get it done by August, since we're exhibiting at AnimeNYC.
Anyway, I'm full-time on Senpai. I act as the CTO, leading the development team. I work with Ruby on Rails on our backend GraphQL API, and also in Unity (which powers our video chat).
We're nearly done graduating from Founder Institute, and in the final rounds for TechStars.
Here's what I'm looking for in cofounders:
Having someone skilled in Flutter would save a lot of headache. As I mentioned, I'm more of a backend & Unity guy. I'm not quite as good at front-end work. Especially, since Flutter is written in a language I don't know of (Dart).
As for marketing, I've had the strategy of targeting countries where anime is popular and where Android is king. This meant Brazil and most of Latin America. We're pretty popular is Brazil, for instance.
Typically, I'd buy Facebook ads and target Brazil. This worked out well, but I'd really rather run TikTok ads. However, TikTok's ad platform doesn't include Brazil or any Latin America countries. Which sucks, because not only is that where our target audience is, but it has a much higher rate of women using the platform. Our Facebook ad audience is around 70% male vs. our TikTok audience being 55% female.
We need someone to tweet and post on Instagram for us. On twitter/X, we see the popularity of anime "threads" and doing this would definitely grow our community. We're also on Discord with ~100 users.
I'd also like someone who's super extroverted to do investor outreach. I'm a decent pitcher and cold calls via LinkedIn and email have gotten me some bites. But, having someone invested in pitching and reaching the right angel investors and VCs would be dope!
PM me to see our pitch deck!
In building this website I was inspired by other language exchange websites, but the problem I see with them is that some people's native language is not a major one, so they might not easily find an exchange language partner.
The website will facilitate finding a language conversation partner either exchange or paid. They could hire a proper tutor but it would be more expensive than a fluent English speaker for example, who would like to make extra money by listening to a language learner and correcting them, as the most important part of learning a language is talk and talk 🙂.
italki has 5 mil. users and mylanguageexchange 3 mil. users. Our website might reach 10k users each paying a $9.99 annual fee.
I know they are numbers :) Perhaps to make it simple at least for start, no fees at all, the only source of income will be ads.
What someone with more than 2 mil. followers on TikTok said:
“Thanks for your email. I love the concept of your website and congratulations on your progress so far!
This is definitely something my followers would be interested in, especially as they are spread out all over the world and may not speak a ‘major’ language as you say as their native language and might struggle to find someone to exchange languages with. So many of them comment on my videos asking if anyone would like to practice English with them so I do believe there would be interest in this”
The website is already online but I do not know what is the best way to get traction. Perhaps enlist an influencer (I will pay the fee).
Other "startups" that you might be interested more in:
Find Roommates
The website is based on the same principle as teamblind
One needs to register with a work email address in order to search and post for shared rentals, so the renters are already vetted, at least for the background check.
This is the main differentiator from the plethora of other websites with the same purpose (i.e. finding a roommate), either free or charging fees, not very trustworthy based on the reviews.
Costs calculations
The idea for this product came after I talked with the owner of a small cafe that said he gave the costs calculation for his products to someone else.
He's had the business for some 5 years but only recently was interested in accurately calculating the costs due to the inflation and wanted to see what prices should increase and by how much.
I asked him why he didn't use Excel himself and he said he could not be bothered to write formulas :)
And I am sure there are many like small and very small business like that just use pen and paper to calculate the costs or just they don't do it and they go with their gut.
Note:
All of these ideas have been accepted to Microsoft Startups Hub, not so impressive though as they say "Open to anyone with an idea" :). Anyway, they say they could provide up to $150k in free Azure services credits.
And the last one:
Script to Audio
Screenwriter uploads the pdf script, the app extracts the characters, the user assigns voices, then the app sends an xml file to an azure service that returns the audio file.
My background is in UX/UI, design, branding, and development. I built Fodo: the instant camera app that snaps and sends real prints. “Fodo” prints arrive by mail in days. It’s a fun way to print and share prints.
It’s basically like if Polaroid and Snapchat had a baby.
It’s great for travel, adventure, weddings, friends, events, festivals, and anyone sentimental or nostalgic who might enjoy photo prints and the old-fashioned charm of receiving snail mail 💌📬
The target audience is 18-28, leaning heavily female, Polaroid users who want to travel lightly by leaving the physical camera at home but still want to get prints of their special moments. These people are active, social, care about their friends, and making the best out of life.
The mission of the app is all about bringing close friends closer together by sharing photos IRL. Best friends mail friends. Real life friends. Bringing back snail mail. Making photo printing fun and easy. And giving prints to parents/grandparents who feel disconnected from our social-media-centric lives. Also, giving people tools to help quit addictive social media apps by focusing more on the people who matter most and less on internet strangers.
My focus has been on product development and although existing users love the product, it’s mostly been my friends and family using it and it’s growing too slowly organically. People only take so many photos worth printing. I’d like to continue focusing on product design and development as I’m trying to take on marketing activities and feeling spread thin.
The app has been around for a year, I’ve mailed out thousands of prints already, have an honest 5-star rating on the iOS App Store. Launching on android soon and also developing international mailing options.
I’m open to suggestions, but I think collaborating with influencers and creators is crucial for this concept. I have some experience running meta ads but it would be a bonus if you could take over that as well.
I’d love if someone could take over sending out DMs and building relationships with micro-influencers on Instagram and TikTok. If you’d be comfortable recording and creating content that would be even better. I’ve found enough people are willing to post content in exchange for free “Fodo Points” so I’d like to keep building those connections and fostering those relationships in an authentic and personal way.
I’m currently drowning in messages and emails and I’m also very anti-social-media so I don’t know how to best collaborate with influencers and creators. I don’t even use TikTok so I’m lost on how to get started with it. Everyone is telling me that this would do really well on TikTok, so I’d love to partner with someone who knows the platform inside and out and is experienced with influencers and trends.
My main reason for focusing on influencers is because this concept seems to have a story that needs to be told in an authentic way and I sense connecting with gen Z through videos is the most relatable and “cool” method that they would expect for an app like this.
I’m open to setting up email funnels, and possibly testing direct mail and search ads. I don’t have much experience there but I imagine they’re worth setting up and testing.
If you’re interested, please DM me a detailed introduction with your experience, your thoughts on the app, and your location. I would prefer if you were in California or West Coast but open to meeting anyone in the US.
Oh, and you can view the current Instagram content by finding “fodofun”, but there isn’t much happening there yet.
You can find the app on the iOS App Store under the name “Fodo: Instant Camera”.
Thanks for reading!
Hello Reddit Community,
I'm excited to announce that I am in the process of launching a tire recycling business based in Southern California. As a seasoned entrepreneur with 10 years of business experience, primarily in service industries, sales, and marketing, I'm seeking a dedicated co-founder and potentially a mentor to join me on this journey.
What I’m Looking For:
Financial Arrangements:
I’m also keen on connecting with experts in the tire recycling or tire repair industry who can provide mentorship. Guidance on industry best practices, operational efficiencies, and market insights would be invaluable. If you have experience in the field and are willing to share your knowledge, I would greatly appreciate your mentorship.
This business venture presents an excellent opportunity for someone with industry knowledge but limited financial resources. By partnering with me, you can leverage my experience in business management, sales, and marketing, and we can jointly grow a profitable and sustainable tire recycling business. Whether you are looking to invest financially or contribute through hard work and dedication, this partnership has the potential to be highly rewarding.
If you’re interested in becoming a co-founder or if you’re an industry expert willing to mentor, please reach out. I believe in open communication and am happy to discuss further details with anyone interested. Your involvement can be as an equity partner, where financial contributions are welcome, or through sweat equity, where your hard work and dedication will build your stake in the company.
Let’s make a positive environmental impact together while building a profitable and scalable business.
Looking forward to your responses!
Best regards, Paul G
My name is David, a software engineer with 7 years of experience, and a new writer. I am currently building a free Wordpress/Wix alternative for authors that involves 0 design efforts. No drag n dropping, no more spending hours to design a site. Authors can add their books, links to amazon, writing samples..etc. I already built the app, and have some users using it. I am in the product market fitting stage. Would love to find a co-founder with deep experience in the book publishing who has worked with authors, and someone who is an author.
All authors create their websites in the following ways:
What's missing is a low cost (free) solution, that also requires low (or non) design efforts involved. Niche catered to authors, as opposed to building a platform for everyone. When you build for everyone, you end up building for no one.
I built Myauthor Space for this purpose. Currently I have some users, and have been improving the app based on their feedbacks. The app does not have drag and drop. Instead, you just have to select a template, color, and input book info, and author bio. I can build a site within 5 minutes. In the future, I will create streamlined marketing tools, auto populate book page by scraping Amazon book links, to make it even easier for authors.
Best selling successful authors will be able to easily afford the high cost of hiring a web agency to handle their website. The ideal customer would be an author with 1 - 5 books published, creating their first author website, age 25 to 65.
I am not going to lie, WP is pretty amazing, especially given their ecosystem of plugins. The problem is the amount of time investment required to create a WP site, and constantly updating it. The plugins, though powerful, does require some technical skills. For example.. integrating mailchimp. I think we can win if we offer something extremely streamlined, easy, and no brainer.
Currently, I am offering everything for free, since the cost is low, and I am in the product market fitting stage. I am trying to follow the Linktree playbook of freemium organic growth. In the future, we can charge for more premium features, such as marketing tools. If you're a qualified co-founder who is interested, you can help shape this part!
I need a cofounder that's passionate about the literary industry. Someone who is an author, who loves working with authors, and enjoys marketing. Together we can further identify author pain points, find a strong product market fit, and serve the author community.
Hey all!
I’m Joe, a seasoned product designer and accomplished iOS developer with a string background in digital marketing and advertising.
Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to building user-centric applications, with a particular focus on enhancing the functionality and accessibility of smartwatches. Today, I’m excited to share the journey of my latest venture—Align Navigation—and to invite passionate iOS developers to join me in scaling new heights.
About Align Navigation: Align Navigation is not just another GPS app; it’s a revolutionary navigation tool designed for both iPhone and Apple Watch. What sets Align apart is its dynamic screen alignment technology, which I first conceptualized a few years back. This feature ensures that the display rotates automatically to stay aligned with the user’s hand position while driving, making for a safer and more intuitive user experience.
Recognizing the potential of this innovative feature, I secured a utility patent for it in 2019. Motivated by this breakthrough, I embarked on the development journey about six months ago, after upskilling in Swift and SwiftUI to the point where I could build a minimum viable product (MVP).
Our Progress: After developing the MVP, I launched a beta testing phase, which saw participation from over 1,000 users. Their invaluable feedback helped refine the app's features and usability. Recently, Align Navigation debuted on the App Store and, to my delight, it quickly climbed the charts to become the #10 paid navigation app. This surge in popularity not only validates the product-market fit but also opens a significant window of opportunity for growth.
The Opportunity: Currently, the development and scaling of Align Navigation is a solo endeavor. I manage everything from coding and marketing to user testing. However, with the app’s increasing popularity and the pressing need to optimize its features, I am keen to expand the team. This is where you come in!
I am looking to bring on board one or two adept iOS developers who are driven by innovation and eager to make a mark in the app world. Your role would involve collaborating closely with me to enhance the app’s functionalities, streamline user experience, and accelerate our growth trajectory.
Who You Are:
If you are as excited as I am about making Align Navigation the #1 app on the App Store, let’s connect and discuss how we can collaborate to make this a reality.
As the sole founder this is a very early opportunity to work on an app with proven product market fit and significant early traction.
Scalability: In addition to Align, I have another watch application deployed under the same umbrella using the same patented technology. It is called Wristruments for Guitar, and was Tech Radars #3 education app for Apple Watch in 2022 and has been too 10 every year since.
A few years ago, I proved product market fit for this app, by completing a successful kickstart/indigo campaign that raise over $20,000 in pre-orders.
This app currently has 17,000 MAU but the current version that is on the App Store is free. It gets about 100 new downloads per week currently with no marketing.
Over the past few months I have made significant updates and added valuable features that have not yet been published. The new version that is ready to be released features a freemium model with a small monthly subscription to unlock all the new features.
So that being said, between these two applications that are really shown how effective the underlying technology is, it is definitely time to expand the team and focus on making money.
I have put in the groundwork over the years, we will not be starting from zero with just a vision. At this point with the building traction, we are getting, I realistically just can’t do everything myself.
The technology that I patented has only been used for these two use cases- navigation and music education, but it is widely applicable to many other markets.
As we grow and solidify revenue, streams from these two apps, division is to create more MVPs for different markets, and use the same marketing/rollout process used for Align and Wristruments to test product market fit, and expand our offerings.
Conclusion: I am willing to offer significant equity compensation for the right co-founder(s).
If you have any questions at all, feel free to shoot me a message or comment on the post I will answer promptly.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Thanks, Joe Corcoran
The Challenge:
Ever felt like you're an unsung hero in your professional journey? You know, like you're doing amazing things, but no one really knows about it? Well, you're not alone. In today's cutthroat professional world, standing out is not just a bonus; it's crucial. However, expressing your unique accomplishments and impact can be a real struggle. That's where Brag Your Work comes in.
What does BYW do?
The problem of professionals struggling to set themselves apart from other candidates in a highly competitive job market is very common. At the moment:
I have a functional MVP (on Flutterflow) that has been launched and I am currently getting early adopters on it, to gather insights/feedback so that we can start iterating the product. That is why I need someone who can handle the tech side.
I have started posting it on a lot of subreddits and majorly I have received positive responses about the product/idea.
(I am not adding the link of the MVP- because I don't want to populate the platform with people who are not the actual customers.) I will share the Website URL when we discuss it in detail.
I am also looking for investors to get started with the pre-seed round. I have also submitted an application to YC. This week, I am planning to apply for some other startup accelerators too.
A bit about me:

My experience has taught me how to create products with a killer unique selling proposition, and Brag Your Work is no exception. As a Product Manager in a tech content company, I've led the charge on multiple successful projects, and I'm ready to work on BYW now.
What do we need now?
We are looking for a tech co-founder who likes the idea and would like to work on it. Today is the day when I have served my notice from my day job and have planned to go all in. I need the support from a tech founder, you don't have to leave your job for now But of course, if we raise funds I would need you to pursue this full time.
Those who think they just would like to explore this as a short-term project, we are not looking for that.

Looking forward to hearing from innovative minds ready to embark on this journey with us!
Cheers Everyone!
I run a restaurant business with 10 restaurants here in Southern California and Utah and think I have found a specific SaaS niche that I would use in a heartbeat and I know a lot of other business owners with investors would as well.
The Product- The main principle is investor management and processing investor distributions, K-1 tax returns, investor letters, investor database. It really applies to any size business and the only real competition is Carta who caters more towards large public companies. I think the initial market would be for medium sized business or companies who have recently done some fundraising or completed a merger.
MVP- The initial product to focus is to develop a web-based database to store sensitive investor information
Client Portion- Investor List with investor details (Name, SSN, Address, Numbers, Shares or Units and percentage owned), Distribution Calculations, Upload password protected documents for Investors to access
Investor Portion- Be able to login and download K-1s, see invested company news and letters, update contact information, easy to navigate for older wealthier investors
Beyond the MVP- There are a ton more features to add after an MVP specifically helping organized fundraising, potential secured financial reporting, and add on services like 409A valuations and provided a secondary market for private shares.
Target Market- I think the target market is middle market companies that have investors which is honestly most of them. The only other players are either extremely techy based or giant public company level players. There is a rich market the “non sexy” business out there that simply need to keep their investors updated with info and making payments of distributions and dividends easier. I bet most companies have an excel sheet with private investor details just circulating amongst its employees.
About myself- Mid 30s, MBA in Finance, quite a large network of high worth individuals, have been the lead fundraiser for both debt and equity (in the millions). This would be a partial time commitment for me as I do run another business and it is during my time running the business that I realized the need for this product. I would take care of all financial aspects such as accounting and fundraising and would also be a guide as a customer who would utilize this software.
You- Ideally an experienced security and database focused developer who can organize and lead the main tech portion (Database management and security would be the main focus for the co-founder role) other positions such as UX and UI could be other hires or subcontracted out. But it would still be good to have some experience to properly supervise those roles. Please have measured experience in enterprise software (No iPhone app devs)
Compensation- Likely a six-figure cash salary to start based upon experience as well as a vesting equity compensation. I might even be able to add to our current company health, dental, life insurance policy as well as a 401k plan (Not 100% on that yet)
Location- Ideally California with openness to move to Orange County specifically if MVP shows traction ** Finances-** I plan to fund entire portion of MVP development but would want to then transition to traditional fundraising rounds if product shows traction
Next Steps- Obviously there is a lot more to unpack and work through and a thorough vetting process will be needed. I would love to talk more on details and the business plan, but the tech side is the all important first step to even getting this idea off the ground. I am offering a competitive salary and equity as I think this product merits someone with enough experience and commitment to properly shine. Carta was recently valued at 7.4 billion, and there is even more room in this market.
EDIT Please send a PM and not a chat. I use old reddit and RES and rarely check chats.
Hi fellow entrepreneurs!
About Me:
After graduating from undergrad (majoring in Economics and Finance) - I spent 4 years at PwC working as a technology consultant, specifically implementing Workday. I spent the next 4 years across a couple startups (Samsara, AtoB), building experience from the ground up and building these businesses from $10M -> $500M in ARR. While at these startups, my focus was engaging with $1M+ ARR customers, collecting feedback, building internal product roadmaps, and optimizing processes to improve sales output.
Once the Taylor Swift tour fiasco happened in 2023, I decided that there had to be a better way for passionate fans to get access to their favorite live events - so LocalArena Tix was born in 2023!
The Company:
LocalArena Tix is an CA based startup with the mission to make access to live events more affordable and accessible to people of all backgrounds.
Our Product:
We're disrupting the $60B ticketing industry by building a peer to peer season ticket marketplace that aims to bridge the gap of $350M+ in annual lost ticket inventory. In addition to the marketplace, we're also currently building a machine learning model to better help season ticket holders accurately price their tickets to sell - while providing more clarity to buyers on historical sales price.
Why this matters;
70% of the 121M live event attendees in the United States opt out of attending their favorite events due to high ticket costs and exorbitant marketplace fees. We're unlocking access to these events while creating a transparent and simple marketplace for sellers.
Where we are:
With a combination of bootstrapping and some friends/family money, we've launched our Alpha product in January 2024 with a growing number of paying and renewing users. Customers that have submitted reviews have positive things to say about the service so far - and the majority of my time is spent working to acquire new customers.
What I'm looking for in a co-founder:
An entrepreneurial spirit, constantly looking for creative ways to problem solve
Strategic vision - applying your technical expertise to build a technical platform for the future
A technology leader willing to roll up their sleeves and build based on customer and market needs
An iterative tinkerer that harnesses feedback into improving the product
Someone excited and willing to bring transparency to a shady industry ripe for disruption!
My commitment to you:
The freedom to innovate, bring your ideas to the table, and work on problems you're excited about
Joint partnership and collaboration, open communication where mutual respect and a shared vision will come together to build an impactful business
Significant equity stake in a venture with global implications - while I've raised an initial amount of capital, your investment (time, sweat, or capital) will translate to direct equity in the business
If you're interested - I'm happy to forward you more information, share progress we've made on customer acquisition, and get you up to speed on the tech stack we're using as well.
Looking forward to connecting!

Hello everyone,
My organization called MAP Ventures is seeking out software development talent for a potential role as CTO.
A little bit about me
I am a recent graduate of the College of William & Mary with a degree in Economics. I have a passion for entrepreneurship and finance. My expertise mostly revolves around relationship management and financial strategy. My dream is to start a business, and here I am.
What we do
We partner with collectives (organizations that distribute NIL money) and build contract management solutions to help improve operational efficiency. This industry is nascent as a result of recent legislation allowing student athletes to be paid for their name, image, and likeness. At the moment, NCAA donors are pooling money together through organizations known as collectives. These collectives then distribute money to athletes in the hopes of improving on-field performance or in the case of recruits, committing to their associated university.
There are a plethora of problems that have emerged, but here are a few we want to solve in the time being:
Our product vision
Software that enables contract management and payment solutions specifically for collectives. We hope to utilize a land-and-expand strategy to incorporate more unique features such as payment for processing and recruitment solutions in the future to directly address some of the problems I've highlighted.
Here are some of the solutions we hope our product can offer:
Contracts can be paid out on a more frequent basis
Where we're at
At the moment, we are building relationships with these collectives to get a better sense as to what kind of traction our product would have. We have a strong network of individuals with years of experience in college sports and venture capital that have access to these collectives.
What we're looking for
I, along with the rest of the team, am very passionate about this project. With that being said, I am also very open minded. At the end of the day, we want to bring someone into this group that can really flesh out their own vision for this product. We want to enable this sort of role to have a lot of creative freedom (maybe that goes without saying).
Simply put, my job (along with others) would be to secure partnerships with these collectives and communicate their wants and needs to you (head of development team) in hopes of creating a really sticky product. The plan would then be to sell that product to other collectives and begin to take on a SaaS model.
Compensation
We are pre-seed so we unfortunately do not have the means of paying a salary. We are planning on putting aside ~40% equity for the tech side of the business.
I'd love to discuss our vision further. If this project interests you or if you have any feedback/ideas, feel free to reach out. Hopefully we can chase our dreams together!
Thanks for your time.

My app is called Gluey. It is a new approach to team collaboration focused on collectively capturing and organizing information. More than just sharing notes, Gluey integrates teammate's notes together into a single knowledge base of information. Gluey leverages our everyday notes to both capture and communicate information. This provides an easier and more reliable way to share information and to integrate it into a team's workflow.
Gluey supercharges your notes so they're shareable and discoverable, allowing them to be part of the team's workflow.
Gluey improves team cohesion and connects our everyday notes so we have greater visibility into the work and knowledge of our teammates.
It's somewhat like Twitter for note-taking (that's an oversimplification), but with Smart Tags. Smart tags add deeper meaning to notes. They help ensure consistency and categorize notes so they can be discovered when needed. Smart tags connects notes together allowing new insights.
Smart Tags enhance the potential of simple notes to replace the need for other tools (e.g. CRM, Bug Tracking, Task Management) may not be needed.
I'm still trying to figure out the right marketing message for the product. You can check it out and I welcome any feedback (gluey dot app).
Me: I'm a full-stack software engineer. I have some product management experience. I've worked at several start-ups that had good exits, and I also worked at several large companies such as Google. I've had a couple small startups with modest success.
My ideal cofounder will be a workaholic like myself. Someone who is fearless, passionate, and can get things done quickly. Someone who will make progress daily.
Marketing is a main area right now but a strong cofounder would be able to wear many hats.
Please feel free to contact me.
TL;DR
When we think of team collaboration, we generally think of shared file folders, emails, chats, and meetings. All of these have significant limitations in how much information can be shared, how effectively the information can be utilized in the workflow, and the visibility into the work and knowledge of other teammates. There should be an easier and more reliable way to share information, ideally one that doesn't require extra effort.
Most team information is siloed with only a fraction of the information being shared.
Gluey expands the range of applications for our daily notes, potentially eliminating the need for other apps such as CRM, issue/bug tracking, task management, etc.
A team's tags can be considered the vocabulary or glossary of the team. It defines the things (physical or conceptual) that a team cares about. When a tag is added to a notecard, we are categorizing the notecard, defining its meaning and integrating it into the workflow.
There are infinite possibilities of tags. Here are some examples for business related teams:
Projects - deliverables, releases, or anything with a goal associated with it.
People - clients, partners, peers, other teams.
Verticals - marketing, sales, engineering, etc.
Topics - subject matter
Context - what is the source of the information? meetings, websites, email, etc.
Workflow - status, stage, progress, priority, or anything process or workflow related.
Hey there!
About me:
I’ve a business and technical founder working on one of my passion projects for travel. (Or at least something I’d like to use when traveling that I haven’t quite managed to find.)
My educational background is in legal studies and finance. I’m comfortable with grunt work, office stuff, documents.
Previous side businesses includes entertainment, interpretation and education with and without partners. I bring a diverse skill set to the table and I also have experience abroad with work and navigating business law and a different set of rules. So I’m totally up to the challenge at home.
About the project:
I’m hoping to make an easier way to meet locals and freelance guides spontaneously no matter where I am with a location based app. It’s almost as easy as ordering Uber.
This takes some hassle out of planning and creates an income opportunity for others, as well as provide more exposure to people already running a guiding business.
Problem Background
40% of travelers are traveling spontaneously. Many book flights and tours within 2 weeks or less. 32% of travelers do not travel at all if they do not have a friend joining them. 71% are willing to travel without much planning at all if there was an easy way to meet someone after they get there. 77% are willing to use a guide during a long layover to explore more destinations.
As a full time traveler myself for the last decade, I have personally experienced the pain points of travel and met with others who have similar problems. After talking to over 1000 potential users, there are signs of early traction and hundreds of people looking to join.
Goals
I've done a lot of market research for my current project including running some trial tests. I know the hot spots / cities to start in for users and have a base of people are interested in joining. However I would love more help with releasing / managing the MVP before really attempting to grow user base. Interacting with clients, testing, etc. A first iteration would quickly be ready to go at any moment. We just want to make sure the execution is solid and more support is available.
Technical stack:
Currently using Draftbit for front end design but the code is on repo.
Backend on node, with Azure.
I'm also part of Microsoft startups and have credits to use for almost any development stack, including DB, so out of pocket costs should be low.
I do have 1 year to use those credits though. Hoping to make the most of it!
Who I am looking for:
Seeking to work with people who have an interest in travel and making connections with others. You have some experience for frontend, backend, database management. If you are a product or design person, also welcome.
I am hoping to get 2 or 3 people and we all collaborate together as a team.
I’m an advocate for collaboration and innovation, and I’m open to exploring new ideas and making and necessary adjustments to propel the project forward.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or ideas you may have. Looking forward to connecting!
Hey there!
I'm on an exciting journey developing an app called Raven, designed to transform how we engage with learning and knowledge retention. This project is deeply personal, springing from my lifelong curiosity about human cognition and the potential of artificial intelligence to amplify our learning capabilities. I'm currently seeking a technical co-founder to join me in this venture.
About me:
My academic background is in philosophy and psychology, fields that ignited my fascination with the depths of human understanding and the profound mysteries of existence. This intellectual path led me to explore the realms of artificial intelligence, recognizing its transformative potential for learning and knowledge dissemination. My passion for reading, spanning from classic literature to cutting-edge scientific research, inspired the concept behind my startup, Raven.
Professionally, I've spent over a decade in communications, sales, and community-building roles, where I honed my skills in creating engaging narratives and fostering vibrant communities. Outside of work, I'm an enthusiast of physical fitness, dedicating my free time to powerlifting, running, and bouldering, activities that I find complement my intellectual pursuits by keeping me grounded and focused.
About the startup:
Raven is more than just an app; it's a pioneering approach to learning that leverages artificial intelligence to simplify and enhance the process of knowledge retention. By capturing, classifying, and storing notes in a personal, searchable digital library, Raven addresses the age-old challenge of managing and accessing the wealth of information we encounter daily. Our mission targets the vast market of book readers, estimated at 41 million, with ambitious plans to broaden our reach into the academic and B2B sectors.
Story:
My journey to creating Raven began with a challenge: retaining the vast amounts of information I consumed through reading. Traditional note-taking methods, while somewhat effective, proved to be prohibitively time-consuming and ultimately detracted from the pleasure of reading. This led me down a path of experimentation, searching for a method that could strike the perfect balance between efficiency and enjoyment. However, each attempt seemed to end in frustration, with my notes turning into unmanageable and unsearchable blobs of text.
The turning point came with the rise of Large Language Models (LLMs). It dawned on me that while the critical act of curating content would always require a human touch, the organizational side of note-taking could be revolutionized through LLMs. This epiphany was the birth of Raven, a tool designed to automate and streamline the note-taking process, making learning more accessible and engaging.
Current stage:
At the pre-seed stage, Raven has been a labor of love, bootstrapped and brought to life by a dedicated duo: myself and a remarkably talented UI/UX designer. After eight months of development, we're on the cusp of releasing our MVP, a milestone that marks the beginning of what we believe will be a transformative presence in the ed-tech space.
What I'm looking for:
The quest for a Technical Co-Founder is not just about finding someone with the right skills; it's about finding a partner who shares our vision for the future of learning. You should be:
Deeply passionate about the intersection of ML and education, with a vision for how technology can redefine traditional learning paradigms.
Proficient in software development, with hands-on experience in ML technologies and a track record of innovative problem-solving.
Ready to embark on this journey, committed to the long haul, and excited about the challenges and rewards that lie ahead.
Together, we have the opportunity to shape the future of learning, creating a tool that not only enhances knowledge retention but also makes the process of learning a joy in itself.
If you're intrigued by the potential of Raven and eager to contribute your skills and passion to this venture, I'd love to connect and explore how we can make this vision a reality.
Hello,
I am a full stack iOS engineer behind the app Proof, a unique gamified platform designed to transform the way people approach building and maintaining healthy habits using social and financial accountability. We are looking for a cofounder who shares our vision and passion.
What is Proof?
Proof is a mobile app focused on leveraging wearables and on health trackers to verify and validate data across our six habit types: steps, workout, sleep, weigh-in (different from weight), water, and toothbrushing. Because we leverage Apple Health for health data, there's no manual entry and is virtually seamless. We use Apple Health to prevent cheating verify that all of the progress is accurate... hence the name Proof. We believe proving you reached your goals is much more important than saying you reached them. The app is focused on hitting your goals consistently rather than in short sprints. We are trying to create what we've coined the "infinite health game". Consistency is key.
The app's unique design, both on the frontend and backend, allows users to see progress of themselves and their friends in real-time. We're focused on fostering a positive environment where users are able to nudge and applaud others progress. Completion notifications and confetti explosions add to the rewarding experience of reaching your daily goals.
As I mentioned earlier, financial accountability is a major aspect of the platform. We encourage users to make accountability contracts with their friends using a weekly gamified model where for each day you miss your goal, you owe your friend some money. For now, this is handled via third party peer to peer payment services like Cash App, Venmo, and PayPal. Proof functions as a ledger, simplifying the settlement process, especially when you add your payment usernames to the app.
Our approach is simple, we try to make habit formation fun, social, and rewarding. By integrating elements of gamification and community support, Proof can stand out in the crowded space of health and wellness apps, particularly the boring, unhelpful habit tracking apps. So far, we've received incredible feedback from our users, many of whom have shared stories about how Proof has positively influenced their lives.
Who are we looking for?
As we look to scale the business and impact, we need a cofounder who can turn a winning product into a winning business. Ideally, we're looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in another consumer app company. Other consumer apps we've drawn inspiration from include apps like Strava, Duolingo, and Peloton. If you have experience at one of those companies or one similar, please reach out.
We're ultimately looking for someone young and hungry to lead all things growth, including marketing, social media, user research, and more. Someone willing to pour their life into the business like I have for the past year. Most importantly, we're seeking someone who is mission-driven and shares our core belief in the importance of health and wellness. Proof is focused on becoming a profitable business as a means to grow and improve the lives of as many people as we can.
If you feel like you fit this profile and the product genuinely interests you, leave a comment and/or send me a DM to learn more.
For a glimpse of what we've created so far, feel free to check out Proof: Health With Friends on the App Store.
I've developed a fun and engaging educational app (“SmartKids”) that helps children learn math and languages through interactive timed quizzes. Parents control the app's settings, including quiz frequency and difficulty, while kids earn "free time" on their devices based on their performance. I'm looking for a passionate marketing co-founder with experience in educational app marketing to help me bring this engaging learning experience to more families.
SmartKids uses a fun and engaging approach to learning, presenting bite-sized quizzes at pre-determined intervals throughout the day. Parents have complete control over the timing and frequency of these quizzes, ensuring they seamlessly integrate into their child's routine without disrupting their screen time. Childs earns "free time" on their device based on their performance in the quizzes, rewarding their progress and encouraging further learning.
SmartKids app is officially part of Google Play's Family Library!
How it Works: A Gentle Nudge, not a Phone Takeover
Instead of controlling the child's phone, SmartKids works with you, empowering you to set the pace and customize the experience. Parents have complete control over the timing and frequency of learning opportunities, ensuring the app seamlessly integrates into their child's day without disrupting their playtime or screen time limits.
Think of it as a friendly learning companion rather than a demanding taskmaster. At pre-determined intervals, the child will be presented with bite-sized quizzes filled with age-appropriate questions and captivating graphics. Each correct answer unlocks valuable "free time" on their device, allowing them to dive back into their favorite games, apps, or activities.
This "earn your fun" system gently motivates kids to embrace learning without feeling pressured. It's all about celebrating their progress, rewarding their curiosity, and fostering a genuine love for knowledge.
Unlocking Potential Across Subjects and Ages
Whether the child is a tiny math whiz or a budding polyglot, SmartKids caters to their individual needs and interests. The app supports a wide range of subjects, including:
Math: Master addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, all through engaging quizzes.
Languages: Dive into the world of foreign languages with interactive vocabulary practice. Choose from Arabic, Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Yiddish, and watch the child confidently build their linguistic skills.
Adaptability: Smartkids adjusts to the child's learning pace, constantly presenting them with questions that match their skill level, ensuring constant challenge and preventing frustration.
Partnership in Progress: Seeking a Passionate Co-Founder
As the creator of Smartkids app, I'm passionate about making education accessible and enjoyable for all children. However, I know I can't do it alone. That's why I'm looking for a dedicated co-founder to join me on this exciting mission.
I'm not just looking for a marketing guru or a business whiz. I'm seeking someone who shares my passion for education, someone who believes in the transformative power of learning, and someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of children everywhere.
If you have proven experience in educational app marketing, community building, and a heart for young minds, I'd love to hear from you. Together, we can turn Smartkids into a household name, empowering families to embrace learning and unlocking a world of possibilities for children.
Join the SmartKids Journey!
I can’t post a URL link here, but you can try the app at Google Play by searching "Math and Language Control" (search with quotation marks). Please download the Pro version as it is free this week and it contains all available features!
I strongly encourage you to download the app and try it before contacting me. It is very important that you understand if you truly believe in it and want to be a partner in it.
As you can see, I am not a marketing person and also, I am not a native English speaker, and this is the main reason I am looking for a cofounder to promote this app. We will be partners and will need to make decisions together.
I am looking for a charismatic cofounder to serve as CEO.
I have not yet invested in marketing, and I do not have a budget for it. I am looking for a cofounder who can help me reach my target audience and grow my business.
The cofounder should have a community who are relevant to the target audience (parents of children) and have connections in communities or news and content channels. The cofounder will be responsible for marketing the app virally and through news channels and content websites.
Hey, no worries if you don't have a built-in audience yet. Show me what you've got! Any killer numbers or success stories from your past marketing and advertising ventures in the education space? Website traffic spikes, app downloads galore, happy clients singing your praises - anything to showcase your marketing magic!
If you are a potential cofounder who is passionate about education and has a proven track record of marketing success, I encourage you to contact me here.
Thanks for your time.
[USA][TECH][15] Music industry co-founder needed for live concert streaming startup.
Hi,
I have a phd in computer science and have worked in silicon valley since 2008. I am also an avid musician since childhood and have a few album credits as a producer and sound engineer. During Covid, I was stuck in Asia and bored, so I started writing this system:
Problems:
Business problem:
Technology Problems
On the source side:
On the receiving side:
We solve these problems:
Business:
Technical
On the source side:
On the receiving side:
The system: I have written a system to use normal household wired (Ethernet) Internet to transport a compressed video+audio feed from a professional video+audio connector (SDI 12G). These SDI signals will go into my machine at the concert venue which will compress the video and send it to the cloud for further processing. All connections and video/audio standards are of professional quality. When the signal reaches the cloud, we use many computers to uncompress the signal and transcode the signal so that we can stream the video adaptively (like netflix) depending on your Internet quality – the system can give users 4K video or downgrade until their Internet improves. The video streaming also includes copy protection (trying to capture it will give you a blank screen). The system exists around a website where consumers can pay and watch the videos either during the live concert or a recording after.
Technology Details
Current status: The system is up and live in Asia and we continue to advance. I now want to talk to music industry people to bring this more mainstream. We also have deals in the works for the technology behind this.
What’s next?
The technology itself seems sound and I have a few interested parties that want to use it for different applications, but I created the system for live concerts and I really believe that this is a good field since most concerts I see are sold out. I would like to see if I can find a co-founder to explore this space with me.
Specifically, I would like a co-founder that is already in the music industry and has the contacts to setup a proof of concept with some concert promoters. Beyond that I would love to talk to ticketing houses (TicketMaster etc).
Please ping me and I can give you a demo and answer your questions.
Thank you.
