The matches are crap

I go to the play store and go to subscriptions but it's not listed on there.

I just got renewed a few days ago but the premium subscription doesn't seem to be worth the money.

Who thinks "This person is popular, why not send a flower instead?" is a good feature in modern dating? Yes some people wants to be chased and chased, maybe they have low confidence or something and likes the attention...but isn't that also what they want people to stop doing?

Aren't society trying to discourage people who keep on hammer on pressure after pressure, or don't take no for a answer?

I feel like everyone would just be better off deleting the dating apps that are useless and instead try Timeleft, less pressure and you can just meet new people and see if anyone hits off there + bonus you get to try a new food spot!

I've been off CMB for a while and started to use again a couple months ago. However, I've noticed now all the likes are blurred and they never show up in discover/suggested as they used to. Is it new? Is paying the only way to see likes?

Recently matched with someone but when Icheck their profile all I see is one picture of them (they had multiple when I sent my like), age, and location. I don’t see any other info like their interests, height, prompts, etc.

I've been dating someone for a few months now. We matched on June 30, 2024, and our chat on CMB closed on July 12. I wanted to look back at our first conversation, so I reopened the closed chat, but I noticed that the messages from June 30 to July 7 are missing. Is there any way to retrieve them?

I know a lot of people don’t mind ghosting their date, but I actually take online dating very seriously and I am very sensitive to people’s time and feelings. I am trying to locate a gentleman called Zack, a physician. We met on cmb. We had a date planned on October 26 at SoleLuna in DC unfortunately being new to the app, my notifications were still off and I missed his message asking me if the date was still on.

I got ready the day of, and when I opened the app, to tell him I was on my way,I saw he had closed the chat. So Zack in if you ever see this post, I just want you to know that I was on my way! and I took it as a lesson to turn on my notifications.

Is the app having chat outage? Or am I the only one?

Does anyone like how CMB keeps extending chats? They use to close down chat in 7 days. Now they keep extending it by 3 days as long as someone says something every once in awhile. I find it super annoying. One week is plenty to chat, find a time for a date or to move off the app. There is NO reason to keep extending. That just encourages ppl to text aimlessly with no intentions. I liked how the systems shuts down matches for me that isn’t working out or going anywhere. I’m not a fan of just stop talking, especially if they seem nice. But if I feel meh already and you’re not intentional on asking me out. I don’t wanna chat more than 7 days.

I had the good fortune of having someone who "Liked Me" show up in my Suggested feed. I also noticed people who have "Liked Me" cycle between showing up and disappearing from the Likes You feed. What's the likelihood that someone who Likes Me will show up in the daily Suggested feed? I'm presuming it would happen when that person disappears from the Likes You feed.

I matched with a couple but they didn't even respond.

Also I noticed like other people mentioned that some of the ones in discover eventually show up on suggested.

It seems like it's just a waste of money so I haven't really bothered with it since. I wasted $70-$80 already.

I've noticed that the ability to zoom in on pictures is gone since a few weeks ago. I've tried on two different phones and they both allow you to click into the picture, but then you can't zoom at all anymore. Is this another feature CMB has chosen to remove from their app?

I have been chatting with a girl since September. Sometimes I will check on her activity report. Her activity report hasn’t changed since we started to chat. On last Friday, her 'Send first message' dropped to 47% and 'Chat with matches' remain unchanged. On Sunday, both 'Chat with matches' and 'Send first message' dropped to 53% and 40%. Today I check again, the 'Send first message' increased to 47%. Does that mean she also engage with others ? May I know how the algorithm works ?

I met my girlfriend, now fiance on coffeemeetsbagel on the app over 6 years ago. Were now set to get married Nov 1st.

Alot of people say it can't happen and dating apps don't work but I've always looked at it as a tool. It depends on how you use it and make it work for you.

This might be a stupid question and I don’t believe the guy at all, but I was wondering if it is possible for a couple of pictures on someone’s profile to change by itself? One was a completely new picture, while one was deleted and another rearranged.

I noticed someone I was dating for two months recently updated a couple of his pictures on the app even though he said he wanted me to become his girlfriend and could see a relationship with me. I called him out on it and he claimed that he hadn’t been on the app even though it said he had been active within 72 hours. He said he even got a deactivation/inactivity email from CMB for not being on in such a long time, and claims that the pictures are exactly the same, that he hasn’t updated anything and doesn’t know why it looks different for me. He kept stressing this point.

The thing is, his responses became a lot more sporadic a day or two leading up to this so that was an indication to me. I broke up with him anyways because of this and because I felt like it wasn’t working for me but was just wondering. I hate liars lol

this past week i finally chat with a 39 year old woman who actually writes longer messages. I return similar length messages.

we go back and forth for just over a week, seems like we have stuff to talk about.

I tell her we should meet up......... and immediate silence. she died.

usually I match with women who can't even be bothered to send more than 2 messages.

So far a flawless record of failure. Over 2 years and counting.

where do i meet normal people? 😂

here's what's frustrating....

if you ask "would you like to meet up?".... they will go silent, because what are they gonna say? "No" ?? Silence is better than rejection.

so your next option is not to ask anything... and the chat eventually fizzles out, so you're fucked that way too.

I'm gonna start asking my matches in the beginning if they have ever met anyone on this app.

if they say no, then i won't even bother chatting.

Hi, I just bought 5,500 beans, but even after 2 hours, I haven't seen them added into my CoffeeMeetsBagel account.
fyi: The help menu in the app just gives generic answers that unrelated to my problem

On a side note, I am a Premium member, and the "Dealbreaker" function in the preferences menu does not work at all. So I'm always getting Suggested profiles that DO NOT match my preferences :(

Is the active within 72 hours accurate and how is it calculated? I’m wondering if it means that someone just simply browsed the app or if it only says yes to being active if someone is matching or chatting with people.

On the app, it says that active within 72 hours means whether they’ve recently signed in but I don’t know what else that entails.

I last used CMB about a year ago and a few days ago I signed up for a new account with a new number and a burner email address. No issues until I finished setting up my profile and then a loading screen comes up saying that my account has been reported. I haven't even swiped on anyone and I already got reported? I then had to KYC with persona and a few days later things were back to normal. A couple of minutes ago I got another notification saying that my account has been reported and that I had to verify myself again with persona and I thought it was a mistake so I hit the 'Cancel' button and that seems to have deleted my account lmao. I can't seem to sign back in because it just says account not found. So weird!

People think I reach my low when I wrote this to her . I would like to know what u guys think. Thanks.

I downloaded this CMB last night, and it's the second dating app I've used after bumble (years ago) but I have no idea how this works.

I only get to swipe on the suggested accounts, and can't view the profiles in the 'likes' tab. The discovery tab requires beans/flowers/money, so if you don't give those then you essentially only have 20+ profiles to look at a day?

Only 4 people of the profiles I was suggested liked me, and I didn't find myself too intrigued with the 4. So then... that's it for the day?

Don't see how finding a match can be easy on here, but there has to be something keeping people on this app, so am I missing something?
