Average bag appeal, but it has a great euphoric, and relaxing high. Wish I tried this strain sooner.

So I’ve been going to my local dispo for years now with no issues, however, they quietly sold the company several months ago and it has been downhill ever since. Yesterday I picked up a half O from them that I am pretty sure is moldy.

As soon as I got home, I opened it and immediately noticed a very weird smell that I have never smelled before with weed. I was instantly sketched out, so I began tediously inspecting each nug. I noticed that several nugs are more brown in color, and the internal stem has what looks like white fluff forming around it in spots. I also did the “light test” where I broke open a nug over a light and noticed floating “particles” (possible spores?). The grower is Bonsai Cultivation, which I now know has a colorful past with fudging contaminate tests, so that has me even more suspicious.

I’m pretty damn pissed about this because if it is indeed moldy, the budtender should have recognized it BEFORE it ever made it into my hands. I’d like to have further confirmation before I go confront the dispensary — does anyone know any other at-home tests I can do myself to further confirm that this weed is contaminated?

Once I confirm my suspicions, do I just go back to the dispensary and take it up with them? Or should I also report them to some official agency? I will definitely be updating the review I had previously written for this dispensary, that’s for damn sure.

This shit needs to stop, and something needs to be done in this state to hold businesses accountable for pushing through tainted product just to avoid profit loss. Wtf is going on with the weed industry here? I’m getting so tired of having to tediously pick through my purchases to ensure it is safe to consume. We used to be a top-tier state for cannabis, but now it feels like it’s becoming just a huge money grab with no regard for consumer health. One day I’ll grow my own, but my current living situation (tiny apartment) makes that option impossible. Really wish I could buy straight from a local grower in the meantime...

I’ve reached the point where not filtering my own water for my humidifiers is becoming time consuming. I live in the part of town where the city gives us a free advanced Brita filter every month due to lead in the pipes so I’ve been running humidifier water thru it and waiting waiting, it’s dumb, I know. What was initially laziness is now demanding a bunch of time and effort.

Are RO filters subject to many of the same intricacies as other grow related stuff, such as unnecessary markups depending on where you purchase and/or the cheaper units tend to break or not work properly?

Greendot, Oni, and 710 stood out as the best with Big Heads Little Necks being pretty close as well! Blu Froot, Peach Oblivion, Garlic Juice, and Zkittlez are some I’d consider grabbing again. I’d definitely avoid pods too but or miss but this $20 starburst is great! Need to try a O2 from Oni next time!

First time trying Moon Glow and I’ve really been enjoying it.

I’ve had Moonbow before but not planet purple. To me, the Moon Glow is better than moonbow.

Flavor: very z terp heavy with an almost rainbow belts taste on the backend. From a flavor standpoint, this is one of the best tasting dabs I’ve had in a minute.

Potency: I feel this one behind my eyes right away and it slowly transitions to a mellow body high. Really enjoyable smoke at any time of the day.

Overall: like most z strains, the flavor is better than the high. If flavor is most important to you, go for it. If you’re looking for potency, you might want to look into something else

I picked up a g of bubble hash from them on a whim, and it's the first bubble hash I've had that's actually sandy the way it's supposed to be. It's awesome.

I’ve noticed that the dispensaries around me tend to round the total up to the nearest dollar instead of down, so they don’t have to give out change. There’s one dispensary out of 5 in town that gives actual, correct change, the rest round up. Do the dispensaries in your areas do the same thing?

I wouldn’t mind a round up if the odd cents were over 50 cents, but I was looking at my receipt the other day and the odd cents was 14 and they rounded up to the next dollar. Hmmm
