This is a thread for asking those little questions that you're not sure about, the ones that may not be worth making a thread about.
Whether it's about rules, in-game strategy, equipment, how to play a certain style, the history or the COD scene or anything else relevant to COD, feel free to give it a bash.
Sarcastic questions, troll questions and deliberately insulting questions are not allowed.
Don't be an asshole! Please answer people's questions honestly and seriously, and report any comments that break this rule. The goal of this thread is to be accommodating to everyone, and clarify things that people may not want to ask. Assholes and trolls may be banned.
Examples of acceptable questions:
What are the characteristics of a good competitive map?
How can I practice my aim efficiently?
Examples of questions that are not acceptable:
2k thread?
Who can't anchor, Damon?
Now let's all learn a few things!
This is a thread where you can discuss anything relating to Competitive Call of Duty, you can throw in any opinions that you don't deem worthy of a thread, you can ask talk about equipment (or post your opinions on your own), discuss strats or in-game ideas, or you can just discuss the scene in general however you wish!
All content must be related to competitive COD however, for unrelated discussion, please see our weekly "Free Talk Friday" thread. For questions, please see our weekly "Scrub Sunday" thread.

I’ve just loaded into two OCE diamond lobbies, both were dossed a minute in. If ya win, you get dossed. If you lose, it’s due to cheaters/wallers. The AI CHEAT DETECTION SYSTEM ISNT WORKING.
At what point do they say fk it we got Microsoft money let’s overhaul this or do we as stupid consumers just keep doing the same shit every year and chalking up any potential good game due to the incompetence ??
I know there’s some discussion/diffences about what attachments to use on the Ames, but are sub players all using the exact same attachments and perks?
If you had to rank the top 5 smg duos all time, what would be your list? I don't remember seeing this ever really discussed as far as an actual list goes. Curious to see where some duos like Apathy & John land on the lists of y'all that have been watching for years
The nade spam in this game is unreal to the point where I’m considering running both flak and tac in respawn instead of ninja + flak which is what I’m running now.
Is this a viable strategy or just a bad idea with how loud the footsteps are?
Very late post but all three ARs were top players at one point. All of them won events too and then went into their slumps. Cammy losing his confidence and have difficulty adjusting to the other ARs he played with (Attach and Ghosty), PaulEhx was the scapegoat for that LRR team and was dropped. Owakening forcing himself to the hill to beat the killwhore allegation despite Rokkr wanting him to get kills. All three of them went down to challengers and did their dues with Paul winning Challenger's champs with Cammy and Wake being runners up along with Purj and Prolute. Eventually they were looking like themselves in ESWC which kept Cammy and Wake in the league while Paul who was known to be an onliner preform greatly at LAN which led him to earned back a spot back. Now fast forward 4 months later Cammy is looking like an T20 player again, Wake suddenly knows how to get kills again, and Paul been an great leader leading a still young squad and has been shooting back against top teams.
Just goes to show if you still have the hunger and still serviceable with a good head on your shoulder you can be rewarded and be put in a better situation then previously.
I’m on 19 ping and 0 packet loss and when I shoot there’s so much delay and I feel like I’m shooting peas my shots aren’t even registering.
Any idea on when the team skins will be available?
This long cdl break makes no sense, a high percentage of their fans have off from school and college and are bored. This should be their best time of the season.
Are these games real? Strafe are showing these but not the official Website.
So I became Aware of Competitive COD in MW 2019 through Covid & ever since I’ve loved it. I Regularly go back and will watch full majors anywhere from MW to last year I just enjoy rewatching stuff & seeing some of these players who might currently be struggling go a fry in a previous title.
So my Question is if you were to suggest any year/game to go back and rewatch in full or any major that has the Full VOD which one should I watch first?
I just want to go back and learn about some of these Ex pros and see why a lot of them don’t like the current titles

Who else is getting forced fed control when they que? I swear I play like 30 control matches. It’s tiring especially when you’re solo queuing
Does anyone know what the distribution is for Ranked players in each rank? I assume the average rank is Gold 1-3ish? I been grinding ranked for a couple years and always get hardstuck around Crim 2 and I wonder is this like top 5% or better/worse?
I’m pretty bored right now and I wanna watch some older COD tournaments. I only started paying attention to comp COD last year so I figure it’d be fun. What grand finals set was the most hype you’ve ever seen? It doesn’t matter what game or what teams are playing.
I’m wondering if there’s any websites that can show spawns for each hills in hardpoint, like show all possible spawns for p1,p2 and so on. I know there’s tacmaps, but I can’t get the site to load, and idk if it shows spawns. I know callouts but there’s a few scenarios on a couple maps where I’m still figuring out exactly where they’re spawning. I know there’s YouTube guides I’m just wondering if there’s any twitter pages/ websites that specifically show every spawn on every map and every hill.
I know there's been posts asking when tickets are out... but not having them a month before the event is fucking stupid.
Especially when it's in Europe, a new location, and fans can't be 100% in booking flights and hotels knowing they have a ticket.
The costs of both are going up and they're costing fans money each day that goes by.
SURELY they have to announce soon?!
I see this narrative a lot in the CDL, particularly from OpTic fans when discussing Kenny. I absolutely believe players like Kenny make the right play more often than most other pros but this does not translate to chips like people seem to believe
For both of OpTics chips last year Kenny stepped up. His KD went up considerably in those 2 tournaments and he got numerous important kills. If he had played at his average level of a 0.8-0.9 KD OpTic would never have won a chip, despite Kenny ‘knowing how to win’.
No team will win a chip this year if one of their team hovers at a 0.8-0.9 KD across a tournament. You need gunny + game IQ
I saw Ben Js podcast is called Scrap Time, and it made me realize how many podcasts in the scene are named after a comp term. Scrap Time, The Flank, The Breakdown, The Codcast, Hardpoints, and Reverse Sweep are a few that i can think of off the top of my head. What are some other ones I'm missing?
