Hi all. Apologies if not allowed, but I thought this would be of interest to this community.

I've always loved shop secondhand, but have been deceived many times now by dropshippers whom now plague pretty much every resale site, absolutely defeating their supposed purpose but getting away with it because the sites still get a cut of the scam.

I decided to design a moderated platform that creates unique barriers to dropshippers + highlights clothing swaps as an option by making swapping more seamless than I've seen on any other site thus far. This is all in an interest in truly ethical, sustainable, and circular fashion choices.

For sales involving money, I'll charge a platform fee of 9.5% on sale subtotals; however I'd like to offer you 0 seller fees for as many items as you can list between now and the end of the month (April 30th). This will be in exchange for the understanding that there may be kinks and hiccups to smooth out in the next little while, and that I may have to contact you if I run into any issues (any money you might spend on an item will always be safe, though.)

This study focuses on individuals who belong to Gen Z and millennials and who participate in clothes swaps. This study favors all types of identities without any discrimination.

The online questionnaire is conducted through Google Forms and takes between 10-15 minutes. All the information provided is anonymous.

Hello! I am writing my thesis about clothing swaps and I am wondering what you do with the item you have swapped usually? I am trying to understand the post-swap behavior.

Do you keep it to yourself, swap it again, show your “proud” acquisition, use it as a “redesign of fashion identity”, keep the inventory to a minimal season need, or others (please mention)?

Lots of jeans, tops,& dresses, but I do have a little bit of everything. A ton of accessories and I’d say about 10 pairs of shoes, as well (most stilettos and boots and mostly size 7) Oh, and I have a lot of nice sweaters, as well! XS Under Armour shorts, black. used & in good condition. high waist, short inseam. hit about mid thigh.

XS Blackmilk matte catsuit, black. used & in good condition. long sleeves, long inseam. great for layering, not great for bathroom breaks.

XS Montiel Lea leggings, white (opaque!). well-loved. somewhat darkened fabric at knees. slight pilling at inner seams. itty bitty nick on inner knee.

Montiel Ballet Wrap cardi, white. one size. like new. has buttons to turn it into a wrap top kinda thing. see stock pictures for a better idea of what it looks like on a human.

American Apparel reversible circle skirt, black. one size. excellent condition. looks a bit different depending on which side you wear on the outside. hits either above the knee or at mid thigh, depending on how high you wear the waist.
