Anything to do with Civilization V
/r/CivV
I have 20k+ hours in the game and opened to this one morning in Steam. I eventually deleted the existing copy and reinstalled it from DVD, but this persists. I deleted all 3 of the mods in use, but it didn’t change. Anyone have ideas?
I play Civ V on either emperor/immortal usually, I like playing civs like Tibet, Shoshone, Polynesia etc… I like to go tradition / culture usually too…
I need HELP with not falling behind in science, if I get the great library it’s always at the costs of founding cities too late, if I don’t, I’m always 5-10% behind… open to all help and suggestions thanks!
(I do play on LekMod, but any help would be amazing)
Picture this:
A city state has conquered seven capitals, and yours is the last one standing in the game.
You have one other city besides your capital.
The city state conquers your capital.
Does the city state win the game?
I’m leaning towards the hill for a lot of reasons, but leaving a river spawn would also mean missing out on that cocoa as a turn 1 tile. I need someone to make my decisions for me
From few weeks ago I’m strugling with this…
When I start the game with mods it crashes at the starting point, when I take control of the first settler at start
I reinstaled the game, started again with the mods and crash
Have tryed too deselecting all the mods and trying just with one and it crash…
I’m happy just playing with the slomo cience one, but I can’t with any :(
Please help
I won a few singeplaywr games on emperor a few months back, got immortal diplomatic victory (second try overall) tonight. I was going for domination tho with 5 capitals, but almost lost to science victory. It was on continents and I was Babylon.
One thing I learned is that literacy is always sooo low for me for some reason idk why
Just wondering if deity is that much harder than immortal. If I could beat immortal in two attempts, how many attempts would it take me to beat diety on quick standard continents?
I recently downloaded a couple new leader mods onto civ 5 but even when i select them in the mods menu I can't pick these leaders. How do I play as them?
2000 wise leaders from Civilizations all across the world have decided to follow this subreddit!
Here's for another 2000 to come!
Even though this subreddit doesn't get a lot of posts / views it's nice seeing the occasional 'popular post' popup in my Reddit notifications!
In the name of r/CivV moderators we thank you dear city states for this small diplomatic victory! :)
so i have uninstalled and reinstalled this game through steam like 10 times and the launcher will not open on my computer. does anyone know whats going on or how i can fix this?
Periodically, mostly when there is a war declared, my engineers become "broken".
Despite being under attack, they do not go to the nearest city if they are on automatic. They just sit there until their assigned task is done, or more commonly, stop doing it.
Most of the time they then forget their orders every turn. Want them to build a farm? You'll have to tell them every single turn. Want them to build a road? Move to another area on the map? Enjoy!
Now if you do turn automatic back on again, then they'll run to the nearest city and do nothing, even if the war is years over.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to see this. Is there any fix?
Has anyone found a good throne room mod (like in Civ2)?
Hey trying to play some Civ5 again after some years but my game keeps crashing. I can’t figure out which mod is causing the problem. Is there a list of bad/ no longer supported mods?
I exited to main menu and the game crashed then when i started again it closed itself in the loading screen before main menu, sometimes i get to the screen after that and theres a loading icon on the cursor before a crash.
verifying the files is stuck at 0 percent.
i re installed the game and it still happens.
any one know what to do?
i have mod that makes eras longer but im running into a issue where when im in industrial the ai starts to get ahead too much and it takes 100-200 turns to steal a tech.
I’m new to Civ5, coming from playing Civ6. There are 1000s of mods available on Steam. What are the best ones for making the game more balanced/fun/interesting/easier to manage? Generally-speaking I’m not interesting in completely new leaders, I’m happy with the standard civs. Thank you.
but damn femboy thighs tho😩
Hey y'all - been learning Romanian recently and was hoping to practice by playing the game in Romanian. However, there doesn't seem to be any Romanian language mods on the Steam workshop.
Anyone got any reccomendations?
500 hours in Civ VI, starting Civ V today because there are quite some people claiming it to be better. What should I know that the tutorial doesn't tell me?
