Whether it's a heartwarming moment, a tense showdown, or a twist that left your jaw on the floor, we all have moments from film and television that linger in our memories. We invite you to join us in sharing, appreciating, and discussing your favorite scenes in cinema!

Welcome to CineScenes!

This is a place to discuss specific scenes in films and TV shows.

Rules

  1. Must be a scene from a movie or TV show.
Our focus is motion picture, esp. fictional content that is acted (and often scripted) but also documentaries.
  2. Titles must follow exact formatting.
All titles must begin with the media title and its release year in parentheses: Citizen Kane (1941).
For TV content, you must include the duration of the series as well as episode title or numbering: Lost (2004–2010) - 1x17.
After that, you may enter any text you wish (within reason).
  3. Videos must follow length restrictions
If you directly attach a video to your Reddit post via upload, it must be less than 6 minutes in length.
If you link to a video (e.g. on YouTube or Vimeo), it must be less than 12 minutes in length.
  4. Avoid reposts.
    Avoid reposting certain popular scenes.
Check by using the search bar and looking through the top results. Avoid reposting scenes with 50 or more upvotes within the last 6 months.
  5. Spoilers and NSFW posts must be marked accordingly.
Mark your post with a spoiler and/ or NSFW tags (beside the Flair tag) when posting.
If you think somebody might get in trouble if someone sees them looking at your post, better mark it!
    Do not remove flairs!
  6. Editing & Quality
Do not edit the content you're submitting!
This includes: cropping, resizing, color grading, or adding personal filters/watermarks/audio.
We also remove posts that are of inferior quality.
  7. Civility
Act civil. Toxic behavior, bullying, and personal attacks will not be tolerated. Respect different opinions. Refrain from using offensive language. Avoid sensitive issues (e.g. politics, religion). Don't be a gatekeeper or a killjoy.
  8. Piracy
This subreddit does not promote piracy! Links, websites and services providing illegal downloads or torrents will be removed. Disregarding this rule can lead to a quick ban.
  9. Daily Post Limit
Users are allowed to submit up to 4 posts a day. Only 1 video a day from a specific movie/show.
    No bulk-posting.
