What have you been brewing recently? Do you have any questions or suggestions for your fellow homebrewers?
It's Friday, and the weekend is upon us!
What cans or bottles are you looking forward to drinking?
Any events around town you're headed to and want to share?
What was the best local or regional beer you had last month? Doesn't have to be brand new, just new to you!
Any beer releases you're looking forward to this month?
I’ve been trying to find the hidden gem of THC seltzers in the greater Cincinnati area. The Root Cellar, Cappy's and Jungle Jim’s have a good spread, but it’s kind of overwhelming. Anyone have a fave?
So far, I’ve tried Cycling Frog, Coastalo, and Floral, and 5mg seems like my sweet spot. Would love to hear any recs, and obviously would love to support local!
Just looking for something chill to wind down with in the evenings. This got booted from the Cincinnati sub so hopefully it's a little more relevant here.
Which local beers have been (or will be) released or re-released on tap, in cans, or in bottles this week?
Where can we find them?

Was wondering if anyone had seen the great pumpcan in stores anywhere. It’s one of my favorite beers and the only one besides (rip) Braxtons bunbury beer I’d go way out of my way to find. Checked Kroger, speedway and a liquor store yesterday all did not have it. The locator says a Sunoco in blue ash has it. Kinda far from me but if anyone can confirm here or else where I’ll head there now. Thanks gang

Who locally makes a good barleywine? I do recall having a BBA barleywine at Madtree a few years ago, but what I'm looking for doesn't necessarily need to be BBA.

It’s possible with help from the Connector (probably Southbank Shuttle could be used as well) Here’s a tour, can you suggest other walking tours to hit other breweries in the Cincinnati area? Park in Newport KY (yes Ohioans, cross the river). Parking is free on York north of 6th, for example
Go to the Newport Levee and walk around enjoy the view while having a Wooden Cask beer.
Grab one at 16Lots Southern Outpost.
Lunch at Hofbrauhaus with a beer.
Walk across TaylorSouthgate bridge (or Purple People, or use South Bank Shuttle)
at 2nd St. Connector up to Rhinegeist, have a beer
Walk to Northern Row (not even one block) have a flight
Next up, just a few streets away, go in the back of OTR Stillhouse, have one of their beers
Walk a few blocks to Sam Adams, have a flight
Connector at Findley Market back to 2nd st.
Then in theory dinner at Moerlein with a beer.
Walk back to Newport
Have a few beers at Wooden Cask Brewing (dinner here is an option, too)
Call Uber/Lyft, or have a DD, get home safely
Eight breweries, it was a good way to spend a Saturday, and get some walking in.

From today's Facebook post:
It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of The Lodge after today. While this decision is a difficult one to make, we feel it's best for the overall health of BC’s Brewing Company. The Lodge has suffered a slow decline over the last few years and that only became worse with the opening of the brewery. While we assumed there would be a short term cannibalization we did not expect that to be as permanent as it has been. The Lodge had a great 9 year run and it will always have a special place in our story and hearts, but it has become unsustainable.
The community you all have built over the years has been inspiring and nothing short of amazing. We will cherish the good times we shared and your embrace of BC’s from day one. We appreciate each and every one of you that raised a glass in our establishment and allowed us to be a part of your life.
This move will allow us to focus all our energy on the brewery and growing the BC’s brand from there. The timeline for this closure will move quickly as our liquor license is set to expire. Today will be the last day we are open to the public. We have so many fantastic memories from this place, and we are sure most of you do too! While in the short term this move sucks, we know it is the right thing for the brewery and BC’s brand to flourish. Cheers to all the great times and memories, and to many more in this new chapter!!

This is a very last minute desperate post!! I have my bachelorette tonight and am not a bar scene person so I didn’t think about the fact that our DD is under 21.😬 She’s 20 and we want to go to The Banks which I know are pretty strict about ID. Is there bars down there that let in 18+? Or ones that don’t for sure? Ones tried to call places but most don’t have a phone number
