Ugh! 9 times out of 10 (11?) I’m a HUGE 1911 fan! They’re definitely on the sweeter side so I’ll get one when I build a 6-pack at Trader Joe’s and have loved most of the others.
This bummed me out ! I should have known better but it’s spooky fireside season, but I thought if anyone could do it it was them for my taste.
If I could still handle my whiskey I could maybe see cutting it. As I’ve been typing this I’ve gotten about 1/4 through and it’s kinddddd of redeeming itself. And at the end of the day, it’s a beautiful autumn afternoon so all is well. Just wanted to scream into the internet ether for a second!
Happy fall yall 💘
My total wine finally had in store Schilling Hard Cider Moon Berries 🤩🍷🥰 also picked up a few other items that seemed promising. Cheers 🍻
I found this yummy cider at Whole Foods. It is a Tropical mimosa passionfruit & orange cider. It’s super yummy & it’s slightly sweet yet also mildly sour & dry.
It's like beer and cider had the perfect boozy baby with a hint of black tea. Packs a decent punch as well with the ABV%

I had to stop drinking beer a few years ago due to a gluten intolerance so I switched to hard cider! Recently I have been getting really weird reactions after I drink hard cider - I thought I was specific to the Toasted Pumpkin seasonal flavor but it's happening with others. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Im getting a hot flush face and itchy eyes and throat. Am I wrong to assume the apples used do not have pesticides?
Hi everyone -
I write a newsletter that features interviews with food and drink folk, and I recently chatted with Peter Yi of Brooklyn Cider Company. He mades wild, minimal-intervention cider and I thought folks here would like it since he's very much a cider nerd.
If you're ever in the Hudson Valley in New York, I highly recommend his orchards for a visit. Incredible ciders and wood-fired pizzas!
