So, I own a chromebook, specifically the ACER C730. I noticed that this model is still in planned for google play support, but some of the other planned and beta channels have become stable. Should I give up hope or just keep waiting?

Any guides ? I’m stuck !
I am surfing on Raspbian with Chromium and using a big TV. I scaled up with Raspbian everything up except the complete row with adress bar and the extensions icons. Can i expand it too?
Facebook pages seem to be an exception. I often always see a rectangle instead of emojis on reddit. Selecting the rectangle and right clicking it to bring up a context menu takes several seconds. When I google it from the context menu it often takes several seconds for the result tab to appear. Had this problem since over a year. Only in Chromium and Google Chrome, never in Firefox. I have really tried to google for a solution or a bug report but I can't find anything relevant.
It's constantly re-installing itself no matter what I do.
Hi everyone, I’m tired of googles tracking bs so I decided to switch to chromium today, when I was logging in to all my stuff I noticed that Netflix wouldn’t allow me to stream on chromium because it didn’t have HTML5 or something like that. I tried adding widevine to chromium but chrome://plugins has been closed off. Does anyone know a way to get Netflix and other streaming services right now?
Edit: I’m on MacOS.
Hi.
in the last months I've notice that some browser's buttons (not websites' buttons) sometimes don't click. In fact I have to use the keyboard, select it and press Enter in order to click it.And this problem is both in Google Chrome and in New MS Edge, so I think this is a problem of Chromium.I haven't found anything about it (even though I'm experiencing this problem in different computers with different extensions and settings).
I attach some gifs to show what is the problem.
Edge:

Chrome:

These are some scenarios where this problem occurs but there are many many more (including js alert buttons etc..)
I ask if you can try these things (try many times) or if someone has already experienced this problem.
Sorry for my english, I'm italian.
Hi! Do you remember that MS Edge had this great funktion of saving all the open tabs to a cluster that could be opened later on again? With that arrow button at the top left corner? I really miss that function since chromium, is there anything comparable? I know that you can still save "groups" in favorites, but that makes it way too complicated I think..
There is a simple way or tutorial to get hardware-accelerated video on ubuntu, I could get it working in fedora and arch Linux but I cannot find a way to make it work in ubuntu.
I have tries using dev version but using it I cannot login to my google acount.
This thing downloaded on my computer recently and I tried uninstalling and it didn't work, can I get some help?
As you can notice from the image linked below, there is unnecessary spacing above the tabs (highlighted in Cyan color) even in maximized window mode in MacOS. I've seen an option to disable this on some browsers but not on Chromium browsers (almost all). Is there any relevant setting to remove this? If not, any tweaks via the "flags" section?
You can see the spacing compared to Firefox:

I use a cookie blocker plugin (Cookie Bro) with Chromium. This plugin lets me whitelist and blacklist individual cookies or entire domains, and periodically delete all other cookies.
Meanwhile, many sites have begun using the OneTrust cookie management tool to ensure GDPR compliance. This tool gives a site's users a GUI to approve and decline groups of cookies based on their general purpose. You can see an example at mailchimp.com.
My problem is that sites that use OneTrust ALWAYS prompt me to make these choices every time I visit, and it's aggravating. Is this an active choice by the sites that use OneTrust in order to make me more likely to just give in to convenience and click "Accept All"? Or is OneTrust supposed to save my choices to its own servers, but cannot due to my local cookie blocker? I've tried whitelisting OneTrust's cookies but that didn't work.
Any ideas?
Any suggestions ? I think I’ve tried all 6 options. I download the special build for x64 and use win32 and even etcher to flash the .img onto a fat32 usb but no luck booting or installing chromium
I've been looking for a build with that android apps work on with no luck.
i think i download a virus chromium how do i delete it
Hello everyone,
I have been a product designer for five years now with a specialization in interface design also known as a visual designer. I have recently switched to Chrome OS only, and I love it. I was wondering how someone with my skill set can contribute to chromium? I have always admired open source projects but have not quite figured out where interface designers fit in the pipeline.
I would appreciate any insight!

Chromium-based browsers are all unnecessarily taking up too much CPU processing power. I pressed shift
+esc
on both Windows and Linux within the browsers and I found that Brave was taking up way too much CPU processing power compared to Windows. So I compared two websites Benchmark Your Graphics Card On Linux and WhatsApp Web
Idle: 1-4 Scrolling: 30-40
Idle: 0 Scrolling: 30-60
Idle: 0-3 Scrolling: 18-48
Idle: 17 Scrolling: 140-160
Idle: 0 Scrolling: 153
Idle: 2-5 Scrolling: 110
So I am not too sure why on Linux Chromium-based browsers are taking up more CPU processing power compared to Windows, if anyone knows what is going on I would love to know. Thanks :)
Hi, I am a Google SWE Intern candidate (North America) in the host-matching phase. I have been in the host-matching phase for about a month now. I super interested in working with Google Chrome team. Does anyone working at Google on Chrome uses this subreddit? I was wondering whether any intern spots are left with the team for Summer 2020 and whether I could be considered for it?
Thanks. Have a nice day.
Hello Chromium community, I want to do modifications on the user inputted URL before the request is sent to the server, where can I find the files handling that in the chromium Android source code?
Thank you in advance.
Recently I'm getting some problems when playing videos on YouTube `ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT`, meaning that an extension have blocked the request. But I have only uBlock Origin installed with default settings and Privacy Badger.
And it seems to only happen on music videos 😹
I have tried to disable them one at a time, doesn't help. Seems like both have to be completely disabled.
Does anyone have any experience in Chromefy? I’m trying to install from an HP Stream laptop running fyde but there is not space to store all the files I need on the HDD so I’m trying to use a usb. Only trouble is, I don’t know how to change directories in Crosh so it points to the USB. Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks
I keep several windows open normally, each with multiple tabs, as a poor-man's tab organization. In the last few weeks, maybe month or so, I have noticed that Chromium has been closing some of these windows without warning. I'll leave my computer, come back, and they're just gone. Reopening from my Recently Closed menu is dicey at best, because I don't know exactly how many tabs each one had, and Chromium will let me open a COPY of a current window apparently, so it's a game of just trying different "X tabs" entries until I find what I'm looking for, which sometimes works and sometimes what I was working on seems to just be lost to the ether. Has anyone else experienced this, and/or knows of a solution or what I should look into?
This version of Chromium will never update, and as such, can use Adobe Flash forever! Currently in beta, but it works!

Hello everyone,I made a simple program that converts the exported Bitwarden passwords to a suitable format to be imported back into Chrome (or any Chromium based browser).
I know this may be a little bit controversial since the general idea of password managers is to not use the integrated browser password manager but I'm sure there are people who'll find this tool useful.
Here's a link to the GitHub repo where you can download it:
