Are there any bars in Chongqing that show UK premier league games? I'll be there in a few weeks and I'm hoping to catch Ipswich v Manchester United
Can anyone recommend me a tailor who does suits quickly? I need to fly home for a funeral and need one ASAP
Hi everyone, i will be travelling to chongqing in a few weeks, could I check what is the best way to travel from the airport to city, and what is the cost i should be expecting? I will be arriving around 3am so i dont think the trains will be in service. I saw that airport transfers cost like 200+ to 300+ yuan, is that how much i should be paying? Thank you!
Hey guys, a buddy and I have just arrived here while we're touring china, and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up and grab a beer or explore the city over the next few days. I'm British/Irish mid 30's and he's American (not the dickhead kind 😅) early 40's. Would be cool to swap travel stories or just chat shit and look at com stuff together. Please let me know. And happy Halloween!
Hi everyone! I will be in chongqing from christmas to the first days of january. I really would like to see fireworks or have a good countdown and take good pictures :). Do you have any suggestions? I have a high budget. Thank you 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Any specific addresses for 9th st.
We’re arriving at our hotel at midnight. Not sure whether to drop our stuff off and head out to see the city. Maybe even go to some bars maybe. Are the viewpoints still nice to see at this time + plus what times are the bars open to.
Hello hello! My brother (28M) and I (33M) are going to stay in Chongqing for a couple of days. Next to do some sightseeing and doing the typical tourist stuff, we like to explore the nightlife a lot. We're from The Netherlands and we don't experience much from the 24/7 and never-sleeping cities. So my question for you is: which bars, clubs or other nightlife spots are the best to experience. Our hotel is near 9th Street. We don't have fancy preferences, we only want to experience the local night scene and make the night as long as possible. Thanks in advance and have a lovely day/night!
Hi, I will be a few days in Chongqing , first time in China since a while.
I plan to do a daytrip in Dazu, and from what I have read, private car is the most efficient option.
Should I book somewhere in advance or just book in Didi to go , and another booking to come back ?
Any suggestion ?
Heya i’ll be in chongqing for the first time in November. I’ve checked some posts here already and i think that many people have already asked the same questions with tourism.
I want to ask whenever i can pay with a credit card (wise) or is it better to get alipay and use my wise card this way.
Are there any restaurants or dishes that everyone should at least try once ? Like local restaurants or hidden gems? :)
Do i need to get a card for the public transports ? (Like the oyster card in london, or the octupus card in hong kong)
I keep seeing this on TikTok but where exactly is the view in Chongqing where you're on the 22nd floor and can look down to other ground floor plaza stuff?
I’m trying to find cool rooftop bars w nice views around the city - any recommendations?
As per title
I have only ever used Agoda when travelling to other countries and have never faced any issue, may I ask if it is the same for China? Or are other websites better
Hey I am looking for some Techno in chongqing… do you guys have any clubs or spots you recommend. If not that, any places where younger people go out to party would make it aswell Thank you

I'm doing a bit of a cooking adventure: I'm picking a place in the world at random (weighted by population, kinda; I'm happy to discuss what I did but that's not the point of this post) and trying to make food from that place. My current place is Wuxi County in northeastern Chongqing. So my question is: what do people cook and eat there? Do you know of any resources for general cooking from that specific region? It would need to be in English, but I can probably get by with Google Translate (I hope) and asking Chinese friends. When I search for food from Chongqing, all I ever find is recipes for Chongqing-style lazi ji, which is delicious and also I can get it from several different restaurants nearby.
Stuff I've found so far: the Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chongqing#Cuisine) and China Xian Tour's list of foods to eat in Chongqing (https://www.chinaxiantour.com/chongqing-travel-guide/top-food-to-eat-in-chongqing.html), but neither is specific to the northeast wing (though that might be too small a scope, but I bet people there eat differently than in the metropolitan areas), and both focus on restaurant dishes rather than what people make at home. Does anyone know of a more comprehensive source, even a cookbook (so long as I can read it somehow)? Thank you very much! I'm hoping that by learning to make food from localities around the world I can also gain a better appreciation for all the wonderful people who live in them.
Hi , me and a few pals interested in finding some fake deisgner markets. Anyone got any recommendations / st names to head for. Thanks
I’ve been here for a while have tried a few local bars , I’ve been to shots too , but I’m trying to find similar bars to shots , or some with live music which are still open, I searched for old posts but I’m unable to find those places , so if anyone’s got recommendations hit me up with Chinese names or the English ones which I can track down more easily.cheers !
Hey everyone,
I’m an Aussie currently in Chongqing for a few days before heading to Chengdu. I’m looking for a place where I can get cheap consumer goods much like the Silk Market in Beijing.
Ideally, looking for a place I can buy one of those portable handheld fans like the JisuLife ones. I’m absolutely DYING in this heat and humidity today!
Thanks in advance!

Hi, arriving in Chongqing next week. Are there any good food markets with loads of stalls or any stand out restaurants.
Hey everyone!
I'm a big fan of Magic: The Gathering, particularly the EDH. I’m looking to connect with other players in the area – whether it’s finding groups to play with, local game stores, or upcoming events.
Thanks for your help, and may your draws always be lucky!
Helloooo, the time of my visit to Chongqing is coming really close. What are the best city view places in Chongqing? Also, are there any budget friendly sky line bars??
Looking for your recommendations as it’s quite hard to find any info about cool spots without knowing Chinese.
Hello friends, near and far.
Chongqing will forever be my second home where I lived from March 2009 to May 2023. I will forever miss the city, especially the earlier years. Here are various clips I've found randomly on YouTube that captures many memories of the Chongqing that I fell in love with so many years ago. Please enjoy.
