I've got two tickets in section 204 row 4 that I am heartbroken not to be able to use, but I would be even sadder if they didn't get used at all! I paid $84 each for them, but am willing to sell for $75 total! This will be SUCH a great show, perfect spontaneous date night!
Does anyone happen to know, have any information on this group?
Piero Garcia, Cal Mason, Martha Sperry, Mark Skey
They recorded with Steve Albini in the early 90s and put out a self titled album w/ HOUSE OF BEEF
Their Single "Sun Went Blind" was also featured on a mix tape in 94.
I've been trying to see if anyone knows where they are, how they ended up.
I’m looking for $84 for the pair. Cheers.
Hey, I’m new to the Chicago area and I’m looking to join/start a band in my free time! I’m a female vocalist, I was in a band a few years ago, but we broke up cuz we all moved to different places. I’m looking for people with similar interests, and really I feel like I could do a range of different genres! I love egg punk and surf punk, but also love bluegrass, folk, jazz, indie, shoegaze, etc! I’m not really great at any instruments but I’m trying to learn guitar and bass. Ideally I’m looking for cool people in their 20s early 30s who just wanna have a good time and maybe someone who has a practice space, but honestly idgaf who u are as long as ur cool and like good music! Message me if ur interested!!
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy me some TouchTunes but are there any bars in the city that still have either a CD jukebox or (gasp) a jukebox with 45s? I miss the old days of judging how cool a place was by its jukebox selections. 😉
My band Fight Cloud is coming through Chicago on our short tour run and need a third band to hop on the bill! Playing with pretty pleased already, any recs or bass would be greatly appreciated! ♥️
Selling 2 tickets to the Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Classical Compositions show at Bohemian National Cemetery on October 31, 8:45pm. Tix were $30 each originally but willing to negotiate. DM or comment if interested!
I purchased two general admission tickets for Leon Thomas on Dice as soon as they went on sale for $35 each (before tax). I’m no longer able to go so I added the two tickets back to Dice’s wait list for someone else to purchase. I see that ticket prices on SeatGeek, Stub Hub, and Vivid Seats are hundreds of dollars. Just thought I’d let anyone know in case you thought the show was sold out and you don’t want to spend an ungodly amount of $$ to see him lol!
Naked Brunch here. We’re looking for a groovy bassist proficient in funk, glam, and indie rock. If you sing BGVs and/or play keys that’s a plus too. If you’re queer, BIPOC, femme, enby, or all of the above, that’s a double, double plus!). We rehearse weekly at Fort Knox and try to play a show at least once a month. We need someone serious about playing in a band and down to play out regularly. We’re hoping for a collaborator who can match our freak.
DM us here, on Instagram, or email us at nakedbrunchchicago@gmail.com if that's your jam.

REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE 5TH OF NOVEMBER...
Like the title says :)
Where do musicians of the more middle aged variety tend to hang? Any good open jams that routinely occur?
Thanks!
Hi! I'm working on a journalism project for school that is primarily focused on Lake Michigan area (mainly Chicago and Detroit) DIY music and art. I was hoping to connect with some local bands and artists that would be willing to do an interview. It could be in-person, over phone/zoom, or via email-- whatever works best!
I mainly want to hear about you, your work, influences, and your relationship with/thoughts about the scene and community-- but am happy to listen to anything else you're willing to share. I'd love to hear from artists from any genre, even if you're just starting out or trying to get something going. Any and all contributions would be super valuable to me :)
My final piece will be published, either by myself in a zine format or through a more traditional journalistic outlet. I haven't quite decided which I want yet.
Please feel free to message me if you're interested or if you'd like more info! Thank you for reading :)

Anyone have a guess as to how many student tickets will be available for the Metro show tomorrow(10/29)? Thinking about skipping class and driving down early.
Looking for some last minute local support to open for my band early november at schubas. We're driving up from austin next week for our first headlining tour up the midwest. Not looking for anything too genere spacific, we play mostly indie rock but mainly just looking for some locals who would be down to rip in a couple weeks!

Hey, my name is Ace from Soulcage, a hard rock band based out of Des Moines, IA.
We have a spot in the 2025 Northern Illinois Metal Fest in Johnsburg, IL which is in July 2025.
We are looking to put together a couple of runs in March and May 2025 to increase our awareness in the general region and then another run in July 2025 concurrent to the festival.
We have not played in Chicago yet, but wanted to reach out to see if anyone had ideas on venues that would be accommodating to bands that are new to the city and any bands from the area that would be interested in pairing up on a bill with us next spring.
