Hello! My name is Jerry. I'm a singer/songwriter looking to find someone to start an alt-pop duo with. Ideally someone who plays an instrument and has some music production experience. Some of my biggest inspirations and recent obessions are: Still Corners, Agnes Obel, Empire of The Sun, Fever Ray, AURORA, Oh Wonder, Florence & The Machine. I've released some music in the past: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1a83l2R97RFKVyEqGq7zFy?si=VqG-mj0RQ7GdTYXrfO21kw, and also have other examples of songs I've written if you want to hear more.
I've love to take the music to another level and find someone who is as committed as I am. I currently live in Cleveland, OH, but I'm considering moving to Chicago at some point for more musical opportunities and a fresh start! I'm also considering other places to move to. Feel free to comment or send me a DM!
Hey chicago friends 👋 my band The Keystones from Milwaukee had a show on December 12th fall through and we’re desperately trying to fill that gap to make our tour routing better.
We play alternative and hard-rock, inspired by bands like Royal Blood and Dead Poet Society.
If anyone has any shows/recommendations, let me know! We’d love to hop on anything, even as an opener with a short set.
I’ve linked our music for you to listen to and see if we’re a decent fit.
TL;DR: Band needs a show on December 12th!
My band Caveat Empire is looking to play some cool new spaces in the city beyond the bar scene. If you or anyone you know is looking for a fun, freaky psychedelic punk rock band send me a DM. Gratefully, Caveat Empire https://open.spotify.com/artist/5NOm79Sui3jZfvvdl4r8iS?si=k_BiEKnVQY-JLKBdiwXLIg
Still looking for additional members for fresh and unique new rock band trying to take over the world, our ages are 21-28 (prefer somewhere around that but if you're dope it doesnt matter). Really need an additional guitarist, preferably 2, if you can play keys/synth or are familiar with live sampling or can sing, even better.
Have a room at the Music Zone in pilsen, we have our own shit/PA but please have a decent amp/guitar. Our influences are pretty wide ranging from Radiohead to Deftones to Aphex Twin to Pantera to Bjork to Future to Slipknot to Tori Amos to Helmet to Fear Factory to Television to Interpol to Kanye to Pinback to Limp Bizkit to Mariah Carey. We lean mostly nu metal, alt rock, post hardcore and alt metal with some industrial, techno, r&b, noise, post punk and metalcore moments. We have our own cohesive sound but (kinda like Deftones) are open to branching out and don't wanna do the same thing twice. Have a debut pretty much done, looking to play some shows out/eventually tour and then record another one and drop it in 2025.
We're all jokers but we take the music seriously and wanna be the best band out and take this as far as we can. If you want to just be a hired gun/member who plays the songs that's okay but ideally we're looking for someone who wants this to be their main project, sees our vision and can contribute musically and push our creative boundaries. We don't want lame people who are stuck in the past, still dress like its 2014 or aren't open minded or forward thinking, we do want someone who's competent at their instrument but we don't need any virtuoso stupid youtube guitarist or anyone with boutique gear, just have a good ear, your own style and swag and passion. If you don't have that/don't fit with our style, please don't waste either of our time.....if you do then hmu we love you and want you in the band
dm me here or email nickart96@aol.com, if you're interested I'll send demos and we can set something up

I’ve been going to shows since I was 12 by myself. I moved to Chicago this past year and had no idea what to expect. My go tos were always bars and venues. Well, I don’t drink anymore (that’s a very good thing) but I still love live music. I’ve been to a couple of metal shows and everyone’s been cool. People don’t bother me, everyone does their thing. I feel like it’s always in the back of my mind to be on guard and a part of me will always be. I just have never been with so many chill folks. Even at King Diamond, I only got yelled at by one dude and he was just a drunk guy that really wanted me to know how cool I looked. No one messes with me, I’m left alone and given my own space. Is it always like this? I dig it. People have been so friendly (it’s easy upon meeting me to figure out I’m not from around these parts) and have even recommended places to check out.
First person to DM me can have it. I can text the ticket to you to transfer it.
Does anyone know of a shop that repairs harmonicas in Chicago? I've got a Hohner Super Chromonica from the 1940's that needs some restoration. Google didn't yield many answers so I thought I'd check to see if anyone here has used any local shops for this work in the past. Thanks!

In the Northern Suburbs and looking to start a pop punk cover band. Nothing over the top serious, just having a good time and playing great music at local festivals and local spots. Long time bucket list item here.
Hello I am looking for leads for any studios that do filming we’re looking to shoot a simple in studio music video sort of a live performance for the internet
My band and I are looking for a band to fill in a show that we have coming up at the end of January. We play pop-rock/alternative music. Let me know if you’re interested.
I’m also just looking to meet more local bands, so don’t be afraid to reach out regardless.
Thanks homies ✌️
Hey all, I’m a chicago based engineer/producer. I am producing an indie folk/country record for a client that wants some live drums, and ideally would be able to attend a live session to give feedback while the drums are being tracked.
Ideally looking for someone that
Will be a paid gig. Please DM me if interested and we can see if it’s a fit!
Idk if I even want to do a set but I'm fuckin bored with life at the moment and have been lonely for a while.
I'm looking for a small jazz band that plays around Chicago. I'm an alto saxophone and have played in a jazz band before, am just wanting to get into the jazz scene in chicago. Are there any good jazz clubs to go to and look for? or places to find openings/auditions?
I’m looking for local active Chicago bands in the Post Hardcore genre. Any suggestions?
I’m looking for a high school age metal drummer/bassist for a heavy metal band located in the Edison Park/Park Ridge area. Looking for someone who’s into bands like: W.A.S.P, Megadeth, Motörhead, GWAR, Slayer, Anthrax, King Diamond, etc.
I’m not feeling up to it tonight after a killer Tension Pets/Spun Out show at EB last night and just trying to get some of what I paid for back if possible.
$25 and it’s yours, can transfer through Ticketmaster. I can take Venmo, not a scam I swear just tired 😴
I’m in my early 30s and realizing that I’m on a quick road to misery. I’ve been a musician in the area for about 15 years and have worked the typical restaurant/warehouse jobs to make ends meet.
I am hoping to shed those industries and dive headfirst into actually working in music. While playing in bands and such has been fun, I do want to actually work and be involved hands on within the industry if I’m not performing on stage.
What steps could I take to start transitioning into this world? I’m open to any and all opportunities.
15+ years performing popular, classical, and theatre gigs 6+ years professional studio intern Unfinished degrees in music business and sound recording Ability and willingness to relocate, no hard ties to Chicago.
I’m happy to be a runner, adjust lights, run cable, stand side stage and hold a towel for a singer, whatever. Front of house (tickets, security) are fine, I’ve had a lot of customer service experience, but I’m not looking to put a face in for the public anymore. If it can get me to the BOH, though, I’d be open to it.
This is not an ad. Just looking for some direction.
Thanks y’all!
Anybody have there album? Only had one release titled these chains. Can’t find it on YouTube or anywhere else
