Hi folks - I’m an avid traveller and prefer quiet destinations and serene life part of the travel experiences rather than wild parties. Me and my wife are looking to plan a motorcycle ride in and around Chiangmai. Looking for advise and store suggestions on purchasing good quality motorcycle riding gear locally in Chiangmai. Thank you in advance.
Hey everybody,

Can anyone help me here ? Which part of the city I should go to ?
Thanks.
Curious to see if anyone can recommend a location or artist in chiang mai. Cheers
Hey all just looking for advice on good areas within the old city to possibly stay. Want to be close by-ish to attractions plus night markets, bar club etc. so don’t have to walk too far at night 🥲 Looking at SW corner and NW corner currently but open for any advice/info that anyone has about the areas. Thank you 🙏
Hi All,
Just wanted to share that we've started a new subreddit for DIY'ers in Thailand. It's for those of us who want to ask, share and exchange info about the sometimes unique challenges of DIY projects in Thailand. Check it out! r/ThaiDIY.
I found a nice house west of the airport, near Wat Umong Suan Putthatham. Does anyone have any experience with the area? I haven't personally visited this place, and I'm wondering whether it's extremely loud (louder than Nimman areas over the runway direction)
Apart from noise, are there good eateries, gyms etc in the area?
Is there any shipping or delivery company in Chiang Mai that I can deliver some papers to Australia within a week. Please recommend me if you know some.
Thanks.
Chiang Mai resident here with a UK passport, looking to travel to either russia or china soon, wondering if i can apply with my nationality and residency at a local consulate in Chiang Mai? any help very much appreciated
I am going Chiang Mai next week, would need advice on what to pack as I heard December is cold in Chiang Mai. Is one hoodie and uniqlo light down jacket enough? Do I need to pack some warmers as well?
My wife broke her toe, and we’re looking to buy an orthopedic shoe. Does anyone know where we can find one for sale? I’ve searched Google Maps, but most of the stores that come up seem to be regular shoe stores, not ones that specifically sell orthopedic shoes.
Preferably Nimman area.
Thanks
I am in chiang mai for two month and want to get a monitor, a keyboard and a chair for my stay. Where are the best places to get these? I wanted to try the facebook marketplace but i am not able to change my location to chiang mai in the marketplace filter.
Hi everyone! Planning a 2-week Thailand trip in which Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are included and I’m evaluating these 2 options: 1-second half of March (march 15th to 30th) 2-second half of April (from the 18th to 4th of May)
Is it true in April there are agricultural fires? Does the air get that bad? What about temperatures? Are there considerable differences?
Thanks a lot
Any Botox experts here?
I am 47 year old white male, who has taken care of his skin (micro abrasion, peels, sun screen and moisture). I am thinking of trying Botox and fillers.
My trouble areas are forehead and between the eyebrows.

As the title says, coming with my mum and wondering if there's any countdown or cool things happening in chiang mai and if yes where is it usually?
What are the most popular clubs for students in Chiang Mai to party? Preferably in Nimman area.
As the title said, I will be going to take a two week Thai massage introduction course in Chiang Mai. I should be able to give a 1.5 to 2hr massage with the knowledge | learned in the course.
Tbh I don't know what to expect but I'm nervous and excited about it. Because I love getting massage but to learn this craft, I'm afraid I wouldn't enjoy it. I hope I can develop this skill as a side job that give me ability to help and connect with others in a meaningful way. Also I love Thai culture and food. I'm will be attending the ITM school in Chiang Mai.
Has anyone been there before? What is it like? For a complete beginner like me, is it hard to get into massage therapy? Is there a subreddit for Thai massage?
Any reply is appreciated:)
*im not expecting to work as masseuse in Thailand
Anyone know where I can grab a cheap phone holder/tripod rather than having to go to Maya or anything..? I’m in the south of old town. 🙏🏻
Will be in Ching Mai for a while and my work requires the occasional spate of phone calls. I could do this from my abode, but would rather not.
Any co-working spaces that have sealed rooms for calls? I am looking for a spot where my calls will not bother others.
Thank you.
I don’t have a IDP so hiring a scooter isn’t a possibility. And I’ve walked so much In the last days my legs hurt walking to 7/11 😂.
What’s the best way on the fly to get there from old town?
Best place in Chiang mai to watch Premier League Football? Specifically Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace tonight 10pm? I’m in Nimman
If I take the bus, is there a scooter rental near the bus station that I can rent a scooter from for a couple of days?
Here on vacation until the 4th and was wondering if there are any local pop punk bands that are playing while here. I've tried facebook and IG and I get a lot of bands in bars, which is still cool, but looking for more of a local show at a live music venue. Just need a point in the right direction. TIA!
Also, not limited to pop punk. Midwesternemo/screamo/hardcore is cool too! Anything alternative really
