Hi everyone,
I’ve had pain in my back and chest for the past two weeks. Back in France, I would have seen an osteopath (a specialist who manipulates the body to relieve pain and improve mobility), but I’m not sure who to see here in Chiang Mai.
Would a chiropractor, physiotherapist, or another type of specialist be the best option? If you have any recommendations for good professionals or clinics, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for a cooking class that isn't for complete beginners and goes beyond spring rolls and pad thai. Any suggestions?
Me and my gf want to go here tomorrow, it looks so fun. However, she is a bit worried, as she is not a very confident swimmer and has heard stories of people dying. I’ve seen her swim, she’s not that bad. How is the safety there? Also, is it best to book tickets in advance online or just pay at the door?
Hi, I’m looking at apartments in the city. Some of the places I’ve seen have reviews complaining about the noise from other apartments / poor soundproofing. I am going to be gaming and I can sometimes be quite loud, does anyone have any recommendations of apartments which are pretty soundproof?? I don’t want to be constantly worrying about annoying my neighbours. I’d rather not get a house in the outskirts but will explore this if I’m not able to find a good soundproof apartment. Thanks!
Where do all the digital nomads in Chiang Mai hang out? I'm travelling there in March and want to do some networking
Not looking for a happy ending, but I do want to find somewhere with strong, male masseurs for a good neck/shoulder/back massage.
I’ll be going with a friend & his parents so both male and female masseurs would be good.
Any recommendations?
Big blueberry addict, eat them everyday. The quality of blueberries in supermarkets are rather disappointing. Haven’t found any good sources of blueberry yet. Anybody here has any suggestions?
Hi I am in Chiang Mai on holiday and I know that Chiangmai FC are playing tomorrow but no one seems able to tell me where the game is held. The answers on line and in bars are all different, I don’t want to be getting grabs all around the surrounding areas looking for the game. Can any one here help?
Hey everyone,
My girlfriend and I will be in Chiang Mai for few days and then plan to ride a rented scooter to Pai. We have a few questions and would love to hear your experiences and advice! 1. Are there any special scooter rental options for the Chiang Mai → Pai route? Maybe rental companies that specialize in this trip? 2. Our biggest concern is luggage: We both have pretty large backpacks and are wondering if there are scooters with luggage racks where we could secure our backpacks with straps. Has anyone done this before? 3. Are there motorcycles with sidecars available for rent? Or is that uncommon? 4. Is it even a good idea to ride this route with two people on one scooter? We know the road has a lot of curves and some steep sections. Is it doable with luggage, or is it too risky? 5. Are there alternative ways to transport luggage? Maybe a bus luggage service or another solution?
If you’ve done this trip before or have any good tips on scooter rentals, we’d really appreciate your insights. Looking forward to your advice!
Thanks in advance! :)
Looking for restaurants or street food with real bone broth (no msgs) and restaurants where they offer bone marrow dishes
Hello I was wondering if anyone knew any pharmacies in Chiang Mai that sell pills for gluten intolerance and lactose intolerance? Basically pills that help digest those things. I have some from home but will be running out soon. I've seen you can order from Lazada and I know they don't really exist in most pharmacies across the country but maybe they might in Chiang Mai? Thanks in advance :)
Hi 👋 My sister and I will be traveling to Chiang Mai from the Philippines, for 5 days this February .
Would you guys suggest best places to go, tried to research and make itinerary online but everything just overwhelming. LOL 😂
Thank you!
Does anyone have a recommendation for a company dealing with converting driving licenses from other countries to the 2 year thai license? I know it's possible to do it myself but would rather use an agent if it's not too expensive :)
Any recommendations for English vocal coach?
I shoot a lot of urban photography here in Chiang Mai, but not sure of any good outdoor landscape photography locations.
CM wouldn’t be my first choice for landscapes in Thailand but working on a project to showcase a camera and needs to be done in this area.
Any outdoor/landscape photographers here?
Hello,
I’m currently on vacation here for another 20 days. For the past ten days, I’ve had a slight discomfort in my chest. I believe it’s just a minor muscle issue, but I still have a small concern.
I’ve read that hospitals in Thailand are excellent and have little to no waiting times. Do you think I can easily get a cardiac check-up? Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk into a hospital?
Would you recommend a specific hospital? Or would it be better to go to a hospital in Bangkok to ensure I see the best specialists?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
I couldn't find any non luxury peking duck and wraps restaurants so I'm looking for help here 😄 Thanks for any recommendations 🙏🏼
Any stores suggestions for Airpods and refurblished Iphone?
Spent a lot of time over the years in Chiang Mai and was just approached by 2 women selling goods. This has never happened before. They said they were raising money for dog and cat shelter in Pattaya. I didn't have any cash on me to buy anything or donate. They kinda went through the "you don't have 2000 baht, ok here's a deal for $1000, 500, etc"
Has anyone come across this group before? Wonder if it was legit or not.
Looking for a foreigner friendly mediation and or yoga spot .. are there any cool retreats?
If not then a spot where I could go and bonus with a hot cold plunge bath..
Me and my girlfriend want to hike up the monks trail and reach the summit for sunset. However are there taxis at the top/would grab come out that far to take us back down? As the walk could get quite dark and dangerous.
I’ve seen a lot of posts about getting taxis/private hire up the mountain, but not just going down.
Hi! I was in CM last December and I really enjoyed my trip there. My 4 day stay was packed with tours but I feel like I have yet to see what Chiang Mai really is. I hope to return someday but right now I really want to eat the streetfood skewers that I tried there on a nightmarket.
Its an assortment of skewers that include fish ball, squid, chicken skin, enoki mushroom, shrimp, pork, liver, etc,. It doesnt taste like it has been salted but its still so flavourful. I only saw the vendor seasoning it with chili in some kind of oil (sesame oil idk). I would really like to know what stuff was put in there that made me really want to eat it again.
Hi guys I've been in Chiang Mai training Muay Thai for the past 3 Months and I've had a couple of fights.
One of them was against someone from Jinny Muay Thai and I've been super curious about that gym for awhile now since i've seen many fighters from there fighting almost every two days and wanted to visit.
I've met a girl called Jinny who runs the gym and she pointed out the location on a map with coordinates but i didn't get a chance to memorise it or take a photo of it. From memory it was below the city and above Lanna Muay Thai to the left of Chiang Mai near where the foot of the mountains are on google maps.
They have neither Facebook or Instagram and does not come up with a google search. The best i can find are fight posters with some members on them.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of this gym please let me know! Thank you @^ @
Where can I buy some old digital cameras in Chiang Mai?
I was recommended Tony Tailors Night Bazaar from a friend and I recently purchased two suits from Sam. I am beyond impressed with the quality of their work and the level of service I received.
The suits were ready within the promised timeframe and the staff was very flexible on changes I requested. The attention to detail in the stitching and the overall craftsmanship exceeded my expectations.
I would highly recommend this tailor shop to anyone in need of a high-quality, custom-tailored suit. I will definitely be returning next time I am in Chiang Mai
Planning to visit Chiang Mai for the first time as a solo traveler n a few days, and looking to see the Ying Yong Flower Garden. My only concern would be transport - from what I have read here and there taking Grab/Bolt would be possible to reach the garden, but my concern would be how easy it would be to get back? Would using Grab/Bolt still be feasible? Or should I just forfeit the idea? On that note, anything else noteworthy to check out in Mae Rim?
Just found out that you can attend the latern festival on yi peng and doi saket for free but I cannot find details on the schedule for 2025. Is it the same date as the ticketed events?
Going to CM in mid-April and, being hot season, I was wondering whether there are any activities to do during the day besides visiting temples to keep cool. Any hiking/kayak/rafting trails which may be fun for groups?
