This site consistently fails to compensate for lag, making gameplay frustrating. While they claim to offer lag compensation, it's significantly less effective than on other chess sites. Additionally, they suppress discussions and silence players who voice concerns about this problem
I have made a new club. I lost my account previously but I have made a new one. I used to be 2200 ELO. I would appreciate it if someone would take sometime to consider joining my club. I am just setting everything up now but this is a great oppertunity to come in. I run an in person academy at my school and will have some GM´s from Canada and one National Champion join too so if this would be in interest please join. I will also be open for anyone challenigng me to play
Look, I really have a doubt that is destroying my mind, because I don't know what to do about it. In short, I have 1100 rating on my main account (which is bizarre to me because I have 2098 FIDE, and I already had an account at link 2000 on chess.com) But blz, this account of mine was inactive for 1 year, until then, when I went to replay, it had a rating of 1600-1700, which was considered low for me. It turns out that, out of 1600 rating, I NOW HAVE 1150 and I CANNOT get out of it in any way. And I was a little incredulous when I stopped and thought, man, I didn't play for a few months and it was enough for me to lose 800 ELO points. Until one day, I went to a colleague of mine's house, and managed to beat him (he was at my level, has 2k FIDE and MN title) So, I stopped, and thought, okay I'm not as bad as I thought. I went to play some games on his account, which has a 2100 rating, so straight away I played with people from 2000-2100, which was more or less what I played in 2022. It turns out that I played 8 3-2 blitz games on his account that day, and of those 8 games, I won 5, 1 draw and 2 losses, which in this case were normal defeats, a close game, good development, and the best of everything, I understood very well what was happening on the board. (This was all on chess.com) on other sites like lichess, I reached a score of 1700 ELO - 1800. Which is acceptable because before the months off I had something between 1900-2000 lichess. Now I want to know, why, on chess.com, do I get so many hits from people with a rating of 1100? And the worst of all is that I can't understand the game, when I see it I'm already relatively lost, with a pawn about to fall or something. Can anyone tell me why this is? Is chess.com full of cheaters all the time?
I signed up for the trial with the Black Friday yearly deal. While on the trial, I cancelled the membership. I've since decided that I would like to keep the yearly membership, at least for one year. Since I'm still on the trial, I see that I can reactivate it, but if I do, will I be billed the Black Friday deal I signed up for, or the regular full price? Thanks in advance!
i’ve been stuck on 1750 for a couple of months now, whenever i play i loose a bunch of elo and then get back to 1750, then the same cycle repeats, what should i be learning at this rating range?

Hello! I am looking into getting my sister a subscription for chess.com, however I am not a player myself, so I was wondering which tier / level of the subscription would be the best value? Interested in hearing y'all's opinions, thanks!
I consider myself the Magnus Carlson of 500 ELO chess players and can easily clean up the normal 1200 bots on Chess.com but this Santa bot is really whipping my ass!
Does he have a gimmick like some of the other bots that I'm just not seeing? Or is he the Magnus Carlson of Santa themed bots?
Any suggestions on how to achieve 90% above accuracy? My accuracy is mostly between 75-85% never goes above that :(((( would like to fix it
Does anyone else think the Champion Trophy looks the best? The golden shine? The detail on the reef handles? I would like to see Legend step its game up, not down.
Hi all, I just reached 1500 elo. It might not be too much but it's a big milestone for me.
A little more than two years ago I thought I knew how to play chess (I used to play as a kid and teen), but after a visit to my local chess club where I got destroyed without mercy by everyone I understood I needed practice 😆
The day after I joined chesscom and got an initial rating of around 550. Since then it's been a slow but constant improvement, and I'm happy to have reached a rating that used to feel unattainable.
Now watch me tilt for the next month and fall back to 1300!
I know the ratings are all over the place at the end but I'll take this after 30 moves lol
If I import a game using PNG,why isn't it saved?
In Lichess, any imported games are saved under the imported games section but there is no such feature in ChessCom...
Also I love the Game review feature in ChessCom & sometimes I like to review my game from Lichess & it's not saved & if I import it again,I have to Review it again & as a free user,I can only do that once everyday so I have to use my only game review per day on the same game if I want to review it again....Is there any alternative review system that is as good as the ChessCom review?
Bored, happy
So these are the number of matches, puzzles and ratings of mine. How many games did you play? What is your rating? Btw, my rating has reduced from 1402 to 1156. So just wanted to know - What do you think of my stats?
my birthday was in august.
i just broke my own record at chess.com (2149) after losing about 80 points, going throught a small plateau and finally making it. i know that young players have ease learning compared to adult learners. My question is; how can i abuse of that? doing thousands of tactics, solving hundreds of positions, analysing deeply my own games... any suggestions? I want to make it to 2200 till january as i've won 95 rating points in the last week and currently my elo is skyrocketing. any suggestions are welcome.
A friend got me watching GothamChess on YouTube, and after a significant binge, I joined Chess.com to give it a try. Thanks to Levy, in my second game I saw the board for the color of it's tiles -- for the first time in my life! And I recognized my opponent's weakness on the light squares.
That, even more than the open file, helped me see the road to an early mate, through black's one and only light squared Pawn. A bishop flank, with my queen and rook doubled on the D file, mated black in 16.
...It's just ~700 elo chess. But I've never played a more tactical game in my life. 😀

(I marked up the game in analysis, to tell the 'story' of the match.)
How do I get the Halloween peice theme I got the board theme but I can't find the peice
Can I add funds with gift cards to Play Store and subscribe to chess.com? The app gives me the option, but I thought it was better to ask first.
