Hey everyone,
I wanted to extend an open invitation to join a charity contest I am beginning Week 11 that is backed by r/CharitableBets and performed on the Sleeper fantasy football platform. I got sick of my players constantly underperforming their projections so now I'm going to turn my pain into a charity's pleasure.
For participants, every 3 fantasy points that we fall short of projections across our designated Sleeper league, we are donating $1 to charity. If we go over, then nothing happens. At the end, the total will be calculated and donations will ensue. You are also welcome to lower or raise the stakes per point if you feel comfortable doing so!
We are challenging our players to rise to the occasion and donating money in the case that they don't. The chosen charity for this iteration of the challenge is the Humane Society in Lexington, Kentucky. However, we will be open to any and all charities in upcoming events!
Just to give you an idea of what it would look like if I had started this during week 1, I am currently 269 points short of my projections in my home league (yeah yeah sacko inbound, shoot me). This would equate to $90, and I'm just one person through 10 weeks.
If you would like to participate, please comment on the thread. If not, hope your season is doing well and you take it all the way to the chip.
Hi folks,
We're going to try something new and run a fantasy Bake Off (I think the Americans might know it as The Great British Baking Show?) league, via https://www.fantasybakeoff.co.uk/
We're keeping it simple - £10 (a little under $15) to enter and top 3 get a share (percentages to be determined based on interest) of the winnings donated to their charities.
Like the fantasy football leagues, we'll take payment in advance for this, and pay out directly to the winners' charity choices.
Express your interest below and we will arrange payment details in due course.
Fantasy Bake Off doesn't start until week 2 of the show, allowing you to get to know the contestants. Sign ups and buy-ins must be made by 28th September at 5pm BST (British Summer Time).
Thanks!

Hey everyone! I hope this is the right forum to post this. My friend and I have co-found the only LGBTQ sports team in the southwestern part of Virginia and in efforts to raise money and awareness, we are starting an ESPN Fantasy Football league. The league buy-in is $10. Whoever wins the entire league will receive half of the pot, while the rest goes directly to the Roanoke Diversity Center, which is an amazing resource and comfort in the Roanoke, Virginia valley. Their official website is https://www.roanokediversitycenter.com/
If interested, please refer to our official Facebook group on how to enter. The link to the FB group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/301573161484055. The league fees are payed to one of the Roanoke Diversity Center board members who is also a co-founder of the Roanoke Diversity Stars (the aforementioned LGBTQ sports team in the Roanoke Valley), and the information on how is listed in the FB group.
The league fee is straight up and there will be no cap on trades, free agency, etc. or any payments required. There will be a live snake draft as well.
This is in no way a hoax, and please feel free to check our website and FB group for cred, we are trying to raise support, awareness and participation of all LGBTQ members as well as form an impenetrable wall of allies to eliminate hate and discrimination.
If it's a draw, then both parties donate, how bout that? I don't think it'll be a draw, seeing both sides' bowling attacks and the swinging conditions. If rain comes tho..
I'll bet $50 that the Buffalo Sabres beat the NHL record for most losses in a row in one season. According to [this](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Hockey_League_longest_losing_streaks#:~:text=The%20Pittsburgh%20Penguins%20hold%20the,4%20record%20(58%20points\).) wikipedia page, the current record is 18. The Sabres have currently lost 14 in a row. If the Sabres win any of their next five games, I'll give $50 to a charity of your choice. If the Sabres lose all five, you can donate $50 to any of the following charities/Not-for-profits:
Albany County Land Bank
United Tenants of Albany
Refugee & Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus
Affordable Housing Partnership
I'll bet $50 (and give you the 2:1 odds) that the Buffalo Bills finish the regular season as AFC East Champs. Anyone other than Buffalo winning it and your charity gets $50. My Bills win and you can donate $25 to any of the following charities/Not-for-profits:
Refugee & Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus
Hi All,
I'm the founder of GoodBookey. GoodBookey is sports betting for charity, I was hoping you all could give me some feedback on the app.
What we are trying to do
Allow friends to make peer to peer prop bets and bets against the line for major US sporting events.
We also have pool challenges with businesses like theChive and Sports Radar. We have taken a bit of a break since COVID and are looking to get back to development. I'd love some ideas on how to make it better.
- Find / Download from your favorite app store
- Make a sports or prop bet and challenge a new friend (use text, email, or system sharing tools
- Pay the bet if you lose, get your friend to pay if you win.
We only have a few charities on the app right now but the money goes directly to them via Stripe so it's 100% tax-deductible.
The big question is, what are the obvious problems we need to fix.
What would motivate you to use something like this
What features should we add to make it more engaging compelling?
More details on www.goodbookey.com
I assume you can just respond here. Otherwise, you can drop it on our website https://goodbookey.com/contact/ .
Thanks so much.

I've had a few drinks so I might have butchered the wording, but I'm a big Warriors fan. Knowing they are the favorites, I'm up for any combination of matching bets for Toronto up to $50. But I'll go 2 to 1. You bet $10 on Toronto, I'll donate $20 if they win.
I'll take any combination of bets up to $50 that St. Louis beats Boston in the finals to win the Stanley Cup. St. Louis wins the series and you donate to the Albany County Land Bank. Boston wins the series and I donate to a charity of your choice
I think I've set this up right!

$10 per bracket. We'll see how many people sign up, but if we get to 10 brackets, we'll do an 80/20 split between first and second place's chosen charities!
Cheers.
I'm thinking just $10 per entry, but you can do multiple brackets.
If you're interested, let me know!
