If there are any book clubs in the cedar park/ lago vista/ marble falls area I would love to join one. I’m 24 and read all genres
Hey everyone, I am looking for someone who is interested in playing badminton regularly in the cedar park area. I recently signed up for a membership at TopShot on 840 N Vista Ridge but I am having a hard time finding people to play with. If anyone is interested in creating a group to play regularly (3-4 times a week) please let me know. I would consider myself an amateur player who is looking to get better, I am open to play doubles or singles. If anyone is interested please reach out to me.
Im 17, used to love volleyball as a kid but was never allowed to play with kids my age because of my height (5'2) and therefore lost my love for the sport. Decided I want to get back into it but have no clue about any clubs around me. It's too late to join my highschool team, and I'm planning to join a college team once I go in August, however any clubs where I come play and get better in the meantime?
Does anyone in this group have a membership? And if so, can you remind me of the deal with the new machines that require an extra fee and a wristband? I'm having a hard time deciding which location to join. The NW Family on McNeil (where I used to go, but it's a bit steeper financially than Twin Lakes). Or Twin Lakes which is a bit closer to home and little less expensive - unless I tie in that extra fee that I can't remember to use the new fancy machines. Thanks.
Left something at home and would happily pay somebody $20 to mule it out somewhere in this area!
Pickup would be near CP High School!
Thank you to everyone who helped look for Hagrid and upvoted the post. We found him today hiding in a drainage ditch off autumn fire. He was just too scared to move!!! Just wanted to give an update for those who were out looking!
I’ve been thinking about doing lap swimming for exercise. Any gyms anyone recommends? I was thinking about doing the YMCA because I think you can pay when you get there and not have a membership but I’m not sure? Also just looking for a friendly atmosphere, not too serious or only for professional swimmers.
Edit: these were taken! Thanks friends, Happy Thanksgiving
Can’t attend and just want someone to enjoy the show! Tickets are currently going for $40ish, but the first person to claim can have them for free.
Sec 217, Row B, seats 15-16. Wednesday show.
Any suggestions for prenatal yoga studios in the cedar park area?
Anyone happen to know of a gas station or place around town that actually sells cold Dr Pepper in glass bottles? I see Coke fairly often, but looking for Dr. Pepper for a birthday request. (Should have iced some yesterday.)
Frustrated with Cedar Park Regional Medical Center
My appointment got rescheduled several times and this week they canceled it 30 mins before my scheduled appointment stating that they are out of room
It’s frustrating!
I did a weekend cleanup and bagged a lot of trash bags that I want to dispose. Have some leaf bags as well.
Is there a place I can drive these down to and dispose?
I don't want to slowly use my green bins over many weeks.

Hi all,
My water heater stopped working out of the blue today and I see some water leaking from it. I'm looking for recommendations of good plumbers. (I have fidelity home warranty but I've heard that they take too long to get stuff done.)
Cedar Park is a fairly well established community. Though continued growth can be seen, predominantly across Leander & Liberty Hill.
For those who have lived here pre-Covid, have you seen a major impact on commute time over the past 5-10 years?
Commutes going into the city are already congested on major highways (i.e. 183 South & 45). I'm curious whether traffic patterns are expected to significantly worsen in the coming years. Thoughts?
Anybody local who can tackle it at a reasonable cost? I don't have a spot welder - soldering would damage cells.
Already tried the BMS reset using the jumper method. It allowed the pack to charge again, but it dies quickly. Probably bad cell (s).
I've asked before, and gotten great direction about calling the county and getting hazardous waste material picked up, appreciate that. Next question, if I have ~25 to 50 gals of old diesel to get rid off, what would be the best container to put it in for pickup? Where could I obtain said container(s)? I'm trying not to put a whole lotta money into basically trash and dont want to lose the good not-cheap containers I have now so I can reuse them. Like, can I just get a 55 gallon plastic drum somewhere to dump em all in and leave out?
The spinning rope cage thing (whatever it’s called) has been replaced by a traffic cone that says removed until further notice. Anyone know what happened and an idea of whether or not it’ll be back?
My kids were upset when we went earlier this week and their favorite part of the playground was missing. But I saw kids doing dumb shit on it all the time (probably why it’s everybody’s favorite, haha), so I wondered if there was a story behind the removal.
Thoughts on flood insurance? I've been eyeballing the Williamson County flood plain map since the Appalachia event: https://gis.wilco.org/maps/?viewer=floodzone
We have relatively flat terrain here, but could we be at risk of flooding if a hurricane's remnants came and sat over us?

A big film crew took up a chunk of the parking lot Wednesday morning, did anyone get nosy enough to ask what they were filming?
Have some minor damage on my rear bumper and lift gate of my 4Runner. I don’t plan on going through insurance, but are there any great mom and pop body shops in the area that I should get a quote from? I’m open to driving a little bit if it’s worth it.
