As the title say. Since THQ Nordic owns the right I do not know where to look for info. Back in the day when carmageddon.com was alive I would go there or message nobby. But now I do not know. Anyone got some info if something is coming? That colab with Wreckfest is great and it makes me feel there are plans for Carma.
Also I am so fucking wish PS5 upgrade for Max Damage.
Update to experimental beta, add the Overhaul mod v1.1, and the 80's garage. There is a patch you should grab from the overhaul's download page that makes them play nice together.
These mods make the game feel finished. It adds 30 opponent races in freeplay, more powerups, tweaked physics, fixes handling of vanilla cars, car combat is crunchier, at least 50 cars are added.
Theres also 32 player mp available. Ive been testing it myself, and it seems to crash if you make the pool of cars to choose from too big. I think there is a limit of 33, after which it will crash. We did however get the multiplayer working with these mods.
I really wanna get a big lobby together, because after these mods it makes carma into one of the greatest combat racing games available.
Downloaded the most recent GOG release, and tried just about everything at this point. Only D3D software rendering works, but it looks pretty awful.
Glide fails with "BRender error detected: Failure: Unable to allocate Main Front Screen"

I've tried the PortingKit version as well as straight up Wineskin. Every Glide wrapper available. I'm on an M1 Macbook Pro. Anyone know what might be going on?

Is there any way to play on an iPhone anymore? I know the game is on the Google play store, which is frustrating.
I'm absolutely certain this used to exist as an undocumented option in the .txt files, called something like "player can get wasted" with 1 and 0 to select or deselect it.
I vividly remember being overjoyed that I could disable it so I could stop dying for stupid reasons and having to redo races. I also rather enjoyed intentionally splitting and exploding my car just to see how mangled I could make it, and being able to repair (fairly expensively, but it would definitely get recomposed from the two halves).
At the time I remember exploring the .txt files at length and modding the game a fair bit - mostly stuff like giving me 300 kangaroos on command per powerup, so I could freely explore the maps in the third dimension. I found the self-waste option while doing this, but I can't find it again for the life of me.
I've unpacked data.twt and explored all the apparently-relevant .txt files, but no matter how much I search it isn't there.
Does anyone remember where it is - or used to be? I suspect it was deleted from the text files at some point, but if someone can give me the location and name maybe I can restore it.

New to this community and happy to be here.
Had a question: I just downloaded the “Carmageddon 2 Advanced Mod” version. It’s awesome so far. But one thing bothers me a lot, there are no weapons-boxes anywhere. Those weapons are half the fun. I just finished the first and second level, and the third one doesn’t have weapons-boxes either. Is there something I need to activate to have the weapons-boxes?? And I don’t mean the power-ups that you can buy, just those boxes that give you fire, electricity, etc etc to kill other cars/animals/ppl.
Any help is appreciated!!

I was searching around the internetfor the Carmageddon app but i found nothing, i an on an iphone 13 with iOS 17.2.1 installed. Can i still acces the Carmageddon app on Modern Phone?

If you guys want to test out the 3DFX / Voodoo support with Carmageddon 1, by all means do so.
For best results with 3DFX / Voodoo support, in dosbox-staging.conf
, change these settings: cycles = 150000
and dos_rate = 60
respectively. Do not use cycles = max
. Also, take a look at the [voodoo]
section of dosbox-staging.conf
as well. You will also need to run CARMAV.EXE
for 3DFX / Voodoo in Carmageddon 1.

Haven't played it in a while (put in 100's of hours in this and ReinCARnation back in the day), but every graphics setting change resulted in a 4 minute freeze of the game. I'm on a 5950x/3090 plugged into a 120Hz LG C1. Couldn't set the framerate above 60, couldn't change the fullscreen type, etc. It played well, but I couldn't optimize it the way I wanted. Anyone still playing this?
