Am I being silly to think I can see both of them in a day? Does uber function between the two castles?
I’ve been offered a job based at Bristol airport. I live in Splott currently and even on my new salary of £37k I can’t see me being able to afford to buy a one bedroom place in Bristol to be nearer to work. There are more affordable options the other side of the bridge like Weston or Bridgewater, but I’m a city person and can’t see myself living anywhere smaller than Cardiff. Does anyone have any experience of commuting between Cardiff and Bristol airport? Is it manageable? I will be driving and my main concern is being stuck in traffic for half of my life. Being an aviation based job my hours can fall anytime around the clock with most starts either early morning between 5am and 7am and mid afternoon finishes. Many thanks in advance
Asked a security guard and got the obvious lie that the east Asian (my guess Hong Kong, Wife's Japan) set was for a Channel 4 documentary
Ideally looking at Cathays area. Must be LGBT friendly.
Does anyone know any great hair salons/hairdressers that know how to treat ASIAN hairs specifically and know about Asian hairstyles? I’m new here and I’ve been struggling to find someone who can cut my hair properly. Thank you all.
Anyone else been hit by someone stealing packages, this is the fourth missing for us? What can we do?
Anyone see the inflatable dinosaur running around the city centre yesterday??
Hiya, I’m looking to take my teenage sister to get her nails done, for her Christmas present.
Can anybody recommend a nice salon? Ideally in or around the centre. To be honest, the main thing for me, over the quality of the nail art, is somewhere that feels a bit fancy and like a luxurious experience for a 17 yr old girl. It’s as much about us having a day out and her feeling like she’s being treated, as it is about coming away with amazing nails.
Thanks!
Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know about an event that takes place in Swansea each year, aimed at giving musicians from across South Wales a unique opportunity to perform in front of a live audience and receive expert feedback to enhance their playing.

anyone hear a beeping sound in the bay? been going on for a while might just call 111
update - haha turns out it was a fire
Ok I know this sounds crazy but hear me out; I keep a large number of various invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians, their diet mainly consists of insects. I also keep roaches, most are from warmer climates and are slow breeders/will not reproduce in our climate. I want to try and breed my own German cockroaches at home to feed my little ones as they reproduce the fastest, but to do that I need to find some. They are not available online (for obvious reasons) I have never seen any myself but I have heard reports that they are scuttling around here, maybe City road and other places. I have tried pest control services but with no luck either. Anyone know where they are common in Cardiff?
TL;DR: whoever brings me a tub of at least 20 German cockroaches (Blattella germanica) will receive a crisp £10 note.
I’ve been suffering with neck pain for about 8 months.
So far I’ve been to a brilliant osteopath who’s helped me before but couldn’t help this time. I then went to a sports physiotherapist who recommended exercises to help strengthen the neck muscles, didn’t help just made it worse. So I went to see a neck specialist doctor at Spire who referred me for an MRI scan showing no nerve or disc damage or anything like that. He referred me to a physio who gave me different neck exercises to do which have only made the pain significantly worse. I’m completely stuck at what to do and have spent loads of money on this already with no improvement.
Can someone please suggest the best person they know in Cardiff who’s able to help with this issue?
Hiya,
We’re a new indie-rock/pop band based in Cardiff, and we’re looking for a bassist and drummer aged 18-23 ish (not set in stone).
Drop me a dm or comment if you’re interested, we’re currently three guys aged 18-20 looking for guys or girls of similar ages to join us with the aim of gigging and going professional :)

What the title says. Really missing that place ever since it shut down, does anyone know any flea markets as good as that one was?
What I really loved about it + am looking for in the next one is how cheap it was (obviously not expecting same prices after inflation but cheap would still be nice), how big it was and how "homely" it felt - really felt like its own community, you almost got the sense the vendors lived at their stands.
Thanks!
Great night last night at tramshed, three bands topped by an excellent set from oas is. Thoroughly recommend the venue and if you have ever wondered whether the tribute bands are worth a shot - do it ! Oas is was excellent, stereotonics also brilliant a few weeks back.
Got my nose done in blue banana, never really had any problems there but I feel like I need a jewellery change for better healing and want to go somewhere else. Any recommendations? Ta.
Just looked out the window and it looks like the sky is really orange around Leckwith. City Stadium direction. Like, much more orange than you'd expect at 9pm in late November.
Anything on fire over there?
Hello I'm looking for recommendations for a cleaner for a relative. I live in Australia so finding good local people isn't easy. I have looked on Google but would appreciate any recommendations particularly for small eco type cleaning businesses. Thank you!
Does anyone know if Richmond Square is still operating? They're not responding to my emails and their website/social media doesn't seem to be up to date
Hey there, I am a 26 year old guy that moved to Cardiff by myself 2 weeks ago. I would like to meet some people here, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I work remote as a programmer, so I won't meet anyone via my work.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could meet people? I have heard people talk about group activities on this subreddit, but i wouldnt know where to look for those. I love traveling and going for hikes. I like playing games (board and video).
Saw a lot of emergency services action on my way home, looked like a huddle of personnel around a car, but I was two far away to make anything out. I hope everyone’s okay.
I will be booking an escape room event for my friends and I this Christmas but I cannot for the life of me make a decision without looking into the videos and pictures without fearing of ruining the surprise for us.
I visited the Cardiff Escape Rooms on St Mary St a while ago and completed the Cardiff Castle Owain Glyndwr room. That was so much fun, I’m just apprehensive about being responsible for booking a room for 6 of us if it turns out to be crap.
Can you suggest specific rooms and companies that you’ve been to, difficulty level and if it was worth your time. Ideally keep it within the city centre.
Hi, is there anywhere in Cardiff with fields that are decently lit in the evening? Looking for somewhere I can throw the ball around for the dog and she’ll be able to see it. Thanks in advance
Me and a few mates are in Cardiff for the weekend and aren’t sure of the best places to watch the footy for tonight/tomorrow, any suggestions would be appreciated
Hi, is there any music big band I can join that is free non auditioned in Cardiff ( doesn't have to be free)? Kinda like what they have at universities but a non university one. Would be nice if it was close to canton but anywhere in Cardiff would be fine. I just want a casual weekly big band I can join to play saxophone in.
Planing to start my master in cardiff . As a international student I expect some part time job to sustain my living expence over there.
Is it possible to get it or I should go for other location.
I am thinking of doing the Bute Park Christmas Light Trail with my partner and was wondering whether it was worth the money. I've been to a similar thing before and it didn't live up to expectations... thanks :)
Hi, does anyone please have any accommodation recs. My budget is £50 max. Shared or single room is fine. Just want to visit Cardiff for a night or two but the two hostels seem really dodgy + bedbug reviews
Thanks in advance :)
I've just seen that the council's city car parking plan is currently open to public consultation, closing THIS SUNDAY 1st DECEMBER. The full plans can be viewed here:
The public survey where you register your opinion is here:
These plans are certainly...a choice. Hopefully if we tell them what we really think it won't fall on completely deaf ears....
Spread far and wide! I found out through word of mouth, not any official channels, which makes me worry not many people are aware of it.
