Hi, I am trying to get into camogie for myself. I'm living in Salthill area, if someone knows a group where I can learn and train or if somebody wants to meet up for practice please gimme a shout 🙂

Hey, I'm a final year student in UL. I'm studying psychological wellbeing in adult hurlers, camogie players and footballers. I would really appreciate if you could take 10-20 minutes to take part in my survey. There is virtually no research into wellbeing in GAA players and any that is studies county players. Brian is a genius and really helped me when I was making the transition from underage to senior because I didn't know a thing about gym or nutrition and you learn so much about the fundamentals from him!!! We are scientists from Ruhr-University in Bochum in Germany, and we would like to ask you for support. 

We are currently doing a study on the topic “Personality in the context of sports”. You are eligible to participate if you are at least 18 years old and practice any kind of sport. We would be very happy if athletes who regularly play Camogie (apart from any restrictions due to the Corona crisis) would participate! Completing the survey will take around 25 minutes. We are scientists from the Ruhr-University in Bochum in Germany and currently researching how athletes from different sports and at different proficiency levels differ in their personalities.

We created a survey in which you are asked to pick your main sport and to then characterize the typical and the ideal athlete of this sport. When choosing your sport from our list of sports "Hurling & Shinty" is probably the best fit for you.

The survey takes about 20 minutes and as compensation, we will later inform you about the typical personality profile of your sport!
