This was my first ‘naked’ cake I made for a friend’s party. Vanilla cake with a dark rum soak, pineapple filling and pineapple rum buttercream. I know I should’ve scraped more buttercream off the top layer, but I am pretty happy with the way it came out. Honest feedback, please!

I was nervous about this one because there was so much to it that I either haven't done before or don't do often. I think it turned out very well though 😊 What do you get when you like Mustangs and the beach? THIS! Beach themed cake with a '66 fastback cutting through the waves for Paul, who just turned 57! The Mustang and age topper are edible images(new printer😊😉), whereas the shells and license plate are handmade out of fondant/modeling chocolate and painted. We have a 6 inch White Velvet Cake with homemade Strawberry Cream Cheese Filling, Covered in Vanilla Italian Meringue Buttercream Frosting.
Anyone have any particular brand recommendations, or just general tips on how to ensure the best taste and texture? I like really rich tasting ganache, so I'm just wondering which brands would best suffice 😊
My co-worker brought this cake to a potluck during Christmas and I can’t spot thinking about it. I have asked where she bought it and tells me she will tell me later but it’s been weeks and I feel like she’s gate-keeping. I’m dying to either make it at home or buy it but I don’t know what to order. The frosting was light and not too sweet like whip cream. The filling tasted like vanilla, I wanna say custard but I’m not sure. Well I would appreciate the help. Cake recipes are welcome.
I had so much fun making the little makeups out of fondant. It was a lemon cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and raspberry compote between the layers. She loved it!!
Another day, another cake— and this one is out of this world!
My very first galaxy cake and only my 5th cake ever!
6-inch, 4-layer chocolate cake made completely from scratch
Chocolate American buttercream inside, vanilla American buttercream outside— all homemade!
I made this cake for my husband and he thought it would fit here. I'm not a professional baker by any means so please don't be harsh with it.
Unicorns do exist at cafewaldhof
Vanilla chiffon cake layers with vanilla Italian buttercream, sour cherry gel & strawberry coulis. Strawberry buttercream flowers, chocolate curls & pearls and strawberries 🍓
My money is on buttercream but that's just me : )
I’m doing a side hustle of cake balls/cake pops and can’t find a catchy, unique business name 🥲 My name is Claire Jones If that helps with the name any!
I know it’s not even spring yet, but I just really want to try making these elegant daisies on the cake. And they came out pretty good. 😊

Any difference between these mixes? Can you take a regular chocolate cake mix and spread the coconut pecan frosting and it tastes the same as the the German chocolate cake?
Threw myself a gender reveal party. Revealed through cake! Lemon cake (helped a long with some purple and pink food coloring), with raspberry buttercream and raspberry filling. Top layer was Sally's chocolate chip cookie cake with Ruby chocolate, topped by a strawberry cherry wrapped in vanilla butter (in blue food coloring).
Did cake pops in an ice cream mold with an outside of buttercream and warmed buttercream to help with the melted look.
