I am getting a Crepe birthday cake however they don’t seem to have 2 tier. They do have 3 tier though for wedding and the price tag is hefty. I am thinking of just purchasing 3 separate cakes which are all the standard 9” and trying to either cut it myself or set it up nicely on the table. Is there a tool to cut Crepe birthday cake after it’s made so it doesn’t fall apart and creating my own 2/3 tier cake?
First time doing a watercolor effect. Wolf is an edible image.
Want to start off by saying that I didn’t mind paying the 195 as it’s a pretty big cake with details and taste good. But wondering what ppl would charge for something like this. Just wondering if yall think I paid too much or was it right or too low. I’ll pay the 195 again if I’m being honest 🤷🏽♂️
I am making my nephews birthday cake and smash cake next weekend. I've only ever made my family cakes at which I am decent at. But now that this is for someone else, I am getting nervous I will not do a good job. Should put the cake together and decorate it the day before and then refrigerate it? Or do it the day of? You know...room for error haha I normally pre make the cakes and freeze them then do the icing day off. How do the professionals do it? Haha
My partner is such a creative person. Here is one of my many amazing birthday cakes. I got each year.!
Hobby baker here. After having used Sugar Geek Show's Easy Buttercream recipe for a couple of years, I've decided I want to try going back to a crusting buttercream.
Since I haven't made a crusting BC in some time now, I'm looking for any suggestions on where to find a good recipe. Recipes with high-ratio shortening are okay (and maybe even preferred). Would anyone be willing to share their go-to crusting BC recipe?
All recommendations and suggestions warmly welcomed. TIA!
So, my cooking skills never evolved past that of a middle schooler, but I recently tried my hand with baking. This is my third time making any type of baked good without it coming out of a box. Super proud of it!!!
So I have been obsessed with cake decorating for years, but I’ve never done flowers or anything really more than borders. I always went back and forth on it because I have suffered with a chronic hand pain for over 6 years now. Severely limiting my hand functioning. This year it put me out of work for 6 months. Just got back to work as a DQ cake decorator. But I also just recently developed a third ganglion cyst ontop of the chronic hand pain. Today I finally decided to try flowers and go nuts. And while my hand is struggling, I feel pretty happy about this. So happy thanksgiving!
How much would you guys charge for a 2 layer, heart cake like this? This is my third attempt making and decorating cake, I’m a beginner, please give me some advice? I charged the person $80. Did I overcharge?
Can you tell we’re very different people 😂 i made both cakes.
Which is the easiest cake with the least ingredients to use nowadays please?
My partner made this amazing bathtub Geralt cake from The Witcher 3 😋 it was a peanut butter and chocolate cake and Geralt and the bathtub were sculpted out of white chocolate.
Bad angel and I also should have gotten more gold leaf cause I think it would have looked prettier with more.
