Hey everyone, I’m currently living in a small town in central Texas (population under 5k). I’m not married and I don’t have any kids and I’m 35.

I’m wanting to move to a bigger city with more things to do and people to meet. I looked at downtown Ft Worth and downtown Dallas, but holy cow houses are expensive in those areas.

Burleson fits my budget, but I’m aware it’s not exactly a “big city”. However, it does seem like it’s only 15 minutes away from downtown Ft Worth. Would I be making a mistake or wasting my time moving to Burleson? What should I know before I start making offers on homes there? Is there somewhere else I should look that has similar housing prices?

I'm not talking about the ones at Home Depot or Lowes. I'm hoping to find a place where I can get some nice new plants as well as information. The crews I've interacted with at the hardware stores haven't been able to help me at all.

I run a bar/brewery trivia company in the DFW area. I'm looking for high-energy people to host games for us, specifically around! We are adding more new bars now and are needing new hosts.

Tomorrow, April 8th, the Fort Wort Astronomical Society will be trying to livestream the total solar eclipse from an undisclosed location.

The weather has not been cooperative, and much of the path of totality across North American is expected to be cloudy, including much of Texas. Our primary and secondary sites are expected to be from mostly cloudy to completely overcast, with severe thunderstorms possible post-eclipse.

For those in the path of totality who will be clouded out, there will nonetheless be visible effects - everything will quickly get very dark, as if night is upon you, followed a few minutes later by sudden brightening.

Lucky observers with mostly or completely clear skies will see a black hole in the sky.

I'm having such a hard time in the area trying to find a pharmacy that can fill my 30mg Vyvanse Rx. Has anyone in the area had any luck with the local pharmacies? I've called around to all surrounding HEB and most CVS with no luck. Has anyone had luck with their Rx being filled relatively close by?
