What are all the childless adults up to in Burbank tonight?
As a resident of Burbank please do better with decorating for holidays (Halloween/Christmas)…bah humbug!!
I thought I'd post this after seeing this! Be careful while hiking!
Hi all- looking to resod or reseed my lawn. It’s all dirt and awful right now. Any local suggestions that aren’t too expensive? Appreciate it!
I’ve been going to Larry’s for the last four years. Every single time the owner is the nicest and his mother-in-law is the nicest and his wife is the nicest! A few weeks ago I was chatting with him about how long he’s owned the restaurant, and he mentioned that Halloween this year would be 20 years! They’re amazing people, and I encourage you to stop by and tell them congratulations on their 20th and maybe order a burrito. Just a big fan of one of the best locally owned businesses in town!
Not sure if political posts are disallowed here, but I wanted to give a shout-out to Nick Schultz, who's running for our district's State Assembly. He started on the Burbank council and is very dedicated to the job. Case in point, I followed Nick on Twitter (back when it was still Twitter) and he actually responded to questions! I emailed him about an unsafe intersection near the mall, and he didn't just send a boilerplate "thanks for your email". This man, during the holidays, reached out to Burbank traffic people and the mall itself to figure out how to fix the issue. Even though it was ultimately a private road, the mall added a light to one of the stop signs to make it safer, which wouldn't have happened without pressure from the city. Nick could've ignored my email or blown me off, but he put in the work and actually solved a local issue. I'm not affiliated with him in any way, this is 100% him earning my vote through action.
If you don't already have a pick for State Assembly, check out Nick Schultz at his website to learn more about his record and views. He's already been great for Burbank, let's give him a chance at the whole district :)
We have a 1 and 3 year old, where would be a good place to trick or treat? Preferably stroller friendly 🙂
Hello lovely people of Burbank, I’ve recently come into a pretty bad spot and the job I previously worked at was becoming much too toxic so I decided i needed to quit. I have been applying to several places, mainly offices or looking for office assistant jobs. The job I’m looking for would need to be okay with me possibly doing a part time or temporary position as I’m pregnant and due in February with my son. Any hourly between $18-20 is most helpful for rent purposes. I am attending CSUN classes Tuesdays and Thursdays so I would be available everyday except those until mid December. At the moment, I have mainly restaurant experience as cashier and food running, hostess, etc, but would love to just do a simple office job on the weekdays if possible, no sales or telemarketers jobs please. I can provide a resume to anyone that has some open positions at their place of work.
I have a car, so I can drive to any location in Burbank, Noho, Glendale, Sherman Oaks, etc.
Thank you to anyone that can help!
Hi all, PLEASE keep an eye out for 🐾Mushie🐾 when you go trick or treating this week for Halloween in the Valley. If you see her at someone’s house or being walked by someone, please text or call me at 760-960-9272. Take a photo/video if you can. We’re offering a $5000 REWARD, no questions asked. Mushie is a black French bulldog (Frenchie) with a white chest and no tail. She has perky ears and a little bit of brindle on her fur. She was lost by a sitter in North Hollywood but could be anywhere. She needs her daily meds and we’re worried sick. Please pay extra attention while you’re out that night. Thank you all for your help.
On the corner of Verdugo & Buena Vista.
Is it open now lol? I was gonna try to be the costco guy for halloween and I need to get a double chunk chocolate cookie as a prop and to eat
Hi everyone, I bought my glasses online and love them. I’ve tried buying glasses through my optometry’s office but never liked the style and so have the same model from an online site for 3 years and after 3 new prescription now. I just don’t know where to go to get them tightened. Maybe those watch fixing places at the mall could fix it? Thoughts?
did you guys see that they don't have physical guest passes and you need to register the car (for guests) for $26 ?!!! this is ridiculous!!!
Hi! Is anyone else experiencing a power outage right now and if so do you have any info?
We drove up to Siri Thai today for lunch and they are closed. It looks like they are remodeling/ gutting the place & there’s a giant bin at the front. The website says they are open…?
Does anyone know?
Hello!
My kids go to a BUSD elementary school and today was the second incident I have had in two months related to inattentive parent drivers.
Last month a parent struck my car and today another parent sideswiped me directly. Fortunately I am fine (just a bit shook up) but if I had been carrying my kid or if he had standing next to me, it would have been catastrophic.
I noticed that some BUSD schools have a crossing guard established during pick up and drop off times. Does anyone know what this process entails and have you had luck after near misses and incidents?
Thank you!
What’s the best local place to donate used toys?
My son cleaned out his toy box and we have quite the pile of toys he’s outgrown and would love to donate them somewhere for a new kid to enjoy.
TIA for your suggestions!
I'm sure I'll get s*** for this, but on the off chance someone has a helpful recommendation...
...I'm looking for a realtor who can help a polycule (three couples, two with kids) look for housing together, preferably a triplex or a multi-unit building where we can have tenants. Would prefer a realtor who's comfortable with ENM/poly lifestyles so we can be open about what we want out of our living spaces; we'll also need help figuring out the financial structure (probably TIC?).
Looking primarily in Burbank for the schools.
