Basilisk-Dev DMCAs old repos, including clones by former PM/UXP Contributors.

As warned about a month ago Basilisk-Dev, also known as the racist n-dropping (and I don't mean Netscape) "binoc-user" on rocketgit with stolen BinOC code and by his given name Daniel James or djames1 as well as a few others, has made good on his campain of terror to prove he is as big and bad as lil ol' me when I was still calling my self the New Tobin Paradigm.

Let's be clear here.. This is NOT in good faith and is patently worse than what I did to the MyPal project and attempted to do to the MSFN XP-gang. These repositories are remnants from when we all were on github in the 2010s. All at least five years out of date. Github defaults the oldest-surviving fork as the new main project whenever the main project leaves which all MCP repos were removed from github years ago. Some of these repositories were in the hands of former Pale Moon and Basilisk contributors namely adeshkp and Lootyhoof (aka Ryan aka the one who helped establish Pale Moon and UXP's independence from Mozilla upstream especially on the theme front).

Using Vivaldi to Connect to Public WiFi.

When searching Google, found that most recommended browser for fast public WiFi confirmationsbis Vivaldi, then played with it a bit.

Not sure how come Edge and Chrome are so slow vs Android. Why Windows cannot have something for WiFi confirms that does not involve so much cookies❓ It just needs to remember the last phone number and mail I gave what WiFi gateway.

Way to go Microsoft, another spectacular fail❌👎❗ 👏👏👏

This is probably the reason why we don't have Futurama memes of Morbo and Bender saying that humanity is not able to create a 💻 laptop that can connect to public WiFi quickly❗

Best browser with ad blocker and opens links in apps, not on website (Android)

I am BEGGING at this point 😭 I can't find a browser with both a good ad blocker (looking at you opera) and opens links in the app and not a website (such as clicking a link to a roblox game, I want it to take me to the roblox app and not the website)

Recommendation for Compact Browser with Slim Tabs, Toolbar and Menus

I am using macOS Sonoma trying to find a decent browser with a very compact minimal interface, I want very slim tabs, toolbar and menus overall to reduce the space taken onscreen.

Most Chrome based browsers have too much wasted space, in my opinion the tabs are far too high and the toolbar also occupies too much space for my liking.

For an example I would like have a browser that has the same sort of very compact appearance that the Firefox Pale Moon browser has. However the Pale Moon range of add-ons is much more restricted and it simply doesn't have the add-ons I truly want.

Firefox has become a Chrome clone and they have made changes to the available options for customising the user interface, it is now impossible to replicate the old Pale Moon browser look with the latest versions of Firefox.

Orion Browser can be used in a Compact Mode which has very slim tabs and toolbar and overall the appearance is quite good, however the browser is still in Beta and has so many technical bugs that make it a pain to use.

I would also like the browser to have ongoing support for Manifest V2 add-ons and a decent built in ad blocker would be desirable.

What do you think about Brave browser?

Used chrome from the beginning. Later came to know about brave broswer used it for some time. It's really good. But Isn't Google mad about Brave? b'coz it's made on top of chromium which belongs to google, and google is against ad blocks.

What are the various forks of Firefox & why pick it over FF? Have any cleaned up the bloat in Gecko or make improve it?

TLDR: What is happening in the Netscape world?

I am not sure if my post is ForksOfBrowserWar or ForksOfBrowserEngineWar, hope its accepted here.

I am curious to know about the various forks of Firefox like Palemoon, WaterFox, Mercury, Floorp, LibreWolf, Basilisk.

On Basilisk's site states "This browser is a close twin to pre-Servo Firefox in how it operates."

I am aware of Quantum project but not sure if it was meant to improve Gecko or replace it with Servo. What is Rust doing in it?

Basically, I am confused about the whole Gecko Firefox ecosystem. What is happening to Netscape?

For me, privacy is a pillar of a browser. It doesn't need to be advertised as a feature. But I am aware of the reality, Internet users are the products for tech giants. For starters, I want a browser that will stop hogging my RAM.

Ability to sort tabs into groups and add tabs to the group, based of various topics - will make browsing experience better.

Following Arc, SigmaOS just released some new AI features. Is this the future of browsers?

I can’t help but feel like the current route Sigmaos and arc are going, is likely the correct one. AI (although a lot of us want to hate it), is a really useful tool to enhance and make your experience on software better. It shouldn’t be shied away from, appraoched with caution but also while recognizing it’s benefits to us as the user.
My only requirement is that AI isn’t violently pushed down my throat, I think Sigma does a great job of this. A lot of the AI integrated features e.g. look-it-up, rename, are just cool new features, not “Look at this cool new smart AI, machine learning based thing. It has AI and AI stuff”.

I moved from Safari -> arc -> sigmaos and currently have no plans to swap to another browser.
