I’ve lived here for about a year and during that year I’ve been with 3 and the service is absolutely horrendous. It doesn’t help that my Wi-Fi is also horrible but that’s a separate point.

Genuinely I have been on the phone walking through certain parts of central Bristol or on the way home to St Paul and signal has completely disappeared. 3 told my multiple times that there was a problem in my area but if that’s the case there’s been a problem in my area since July last year.

Anyway my main question is what provider actually has good signal in Bristol? I’m looking to change ASAP

Sound? Drinks? Security? Toilets? These lockers they have

Was in town today and saw dozens of people crowded around a man selling bags of 3 perfume bottles for £10. He was saying that they were left over from fashion week. It’s very clearly some sort of scam, as he was selling them in Morphe (a makeup brand) bags, and he was only taking cash because “his card machine ran out of battery from selling so much perfume”. I’m wondering if anyone’s ever bought one before, how they smell, and if they’re real. I’d never heard of any of the brands apart from Poppy, but not the specific perfume in the bag.

Just wondering, if there were any watch parties for Arcane Season 2? Would be really great to watch it with other people.

If you’re all going to sit in a coffee shop all day on your laptop and not converse with anyone, you may as well all sit together on a single table and not occupy all the tables, or alternatively, don’t get the hump if a family of four asks you to move to a spare seat where you can sit on another table opposite another student sat in silence on a laptop… and don’t blame the store who are just as annoyed as us but can’t tell you what they really think of you nursing that single Americano all….bloody….day….just…for…..the….free….bloody…..WiFi…

Just read a thread on how accents in Scotland are wildly different depending not even only on county but by different parts of the cities. Even in villages it depends on what part you are.

Like the east end of Glasgow apparently has quite a different accent to the south side. Even different parts of ayrshire (different villages)

Apparently Wolverhampton is the same as in not brum and Dudley accents being there also but general differences in Wolverhampton accent depending on what part of the city you’re in,

Anyway enough waffle,

Do we have this in Bristol, or surrounding areas (south glos, North Somerset etc) to any extent? I’ve never noticed despite having a Bristolian accent (albeit diluted despite living in Bristol all my life)

I am a southeast asian guy (27M) new in this part of the country and as much as I love the City of Bath, I kinda struggled with the limited options publicly available for people in their 20s/30s to do anything in Bath unless you already have an existing group of friends. I recently signed up for Cargo Bikes and paid my £5 deposit. Every time I went on to the app to try and get a bike none are available…

….these are the electric bikes like tier/dot, that have a trailer….

…searching on r/Bristol I discovered other people are having this problem too. So I emailed cargo bikes and they responded. They said: We are no longer providing cargo bikes in Bristol because we have experienced so many thefts that we can’t do it anymore. We are reconsidering the future of cargo bikes in Bristol.

I can’t believe that even though this is the case they were still happy to take my £5 deposit, make me sit through the training video, and waste my time going on to the app looking for an available bike.

Why are they doing this?!!

Please can everyone who has signed up for this service in Bristol ask for a refund of the £5 deposit!! If this is not a scam then I don’t know what is!

I'm planning on making some side tables but can't find anywhere local to get the square tubing. I know you can easily get them online but the delivery fee is £15-£20 which in most cases is half of the cost of the sections themselves.
