Florist

I have a sister who lives in Boynton and she’s about to celebrate a milestone birthday. I want to send her flowers (I live out of state) and not ordinary flowers- I’m looking for something really special. Can any of you recommend any fantastic local florists that I could reach out to? Thank you!!!!

The Cove at Boynton Beach Apt's

Does anyone have any experience/insights into renting at the Cove at Boynton Beach? I'll be relocating to FL for a job based in Delray Beach, and am curious to understand if there are any rental communities I should be steering clear of for whatever reason. TIA!

Fun things to do in an around this area?

My fiance and I are moving into our new apartment in Boynton tomorrow and we tend to spend a lot of time at home/indoors. We downsized specifically to encourage ourselves to get out more. What are some fun spots to hang out at?

To be specific we’re looking more for bar/regular event type things that we can frequent and make friends at, so not like a venue that has a one off type of event.

Any suggestions are appreciated, and we also have a dog so any dog friendly places or parks work too!

Inlet swimming

I've been taking my dog to swim for 30-45 minutes at the little Inlet beach near where the picnic pavilions and SUP board rentals face the intracoastal, close to the bridge that goes over the little canals heading south. It was great, super clear and clean 2 weeks ago. Now that we've had a bunch of heavy rain, the water is murkey and churned up. Is it safe to swim over there now and how do I find out if any hazardous bacteria/germs/run off is in that part of the water? Any reasons for me not to swim or take the dog there?

Looking to learn a bit about Florida for my upcoming trip

Hello all, I am a recently retired (49/m) from NYC.  I am looking to relocate to some place warmer and less taxed.  I am visiting a friend in Boynton Beach from 8/13 to 8/21,  I plan to drive to Tampa for a day or two (overnight) and plan a day trip to Miami.  My goal is just to see as much of Florida as I can to see if its a good place for the next phase of my life.

I am posting here to see if there is anyone that wishes to assist with this.  Basically, just drive around and show the good and bad and the ugly of any/all of these areas.

I can offer breakfast/lunch/dinner and/or drinks as a way to show my appreciation.

Age does not matter (over 18 please)

Gender does not matter

Race does not matter

Any other type of demographic category does not matter

Thank you for your time

P.S. If physically doing this is not something you wish to do, any and all Florida tips/tricks/suggestions are more than appreciated - in the form of responses to this post or a DM.

Looking for local lawyer to review a code notice

Hi My front yard has no grass. It is all xeriscape and the other day I found a door hanger saying this violates BB code. In reading the ordinance I'm not certain this is a violation and just want an opinion. Thanks for any help.

Friend is Looking for a Job

So, im a 40M and my friend is 43M. He was working Uber Eats and DoorDash until both his parents car and his car died on them. Hes now studying in IT and getting his certificates. 43M has been applying to even walmart Starbucks, anything to keep his head above water.

Ive been keeping him afloat for his bills and possibly will be getting him a vehicle, but he's in dire straits.

He has manager experience from New York City and was a great worker, worked as a retail manager about 15 plus years experience. To add he also was a Barista at a very accomplished Cafe in Soho.

Hes looking for anything, and i joined this subreddit because i believe in this community and hes ready for anything at this point.

Thank you and i appreciate your time for looking at my message.

Visiting for my bachelor party in August.

So from my research I assuming this is peak heat for the area? What advice can you give for us New Mexican's who are only used to NMs dry desert heat? I'm excited to visit but don't wanna die and thinking about the weather if already giving me anxiety haha.

Bought a home in Boynton. Needs renovations. Any recommendations for contractors?

When coming out of a tile place, a vendor had put his card on my window. Schuman Home Improvement Inc. Has anyone worked with him? Any feedback? Any other vendors you'd recommend? House needs almost everything (popcorn ceiling removal, remove (and replace with new) cabinets, sinks, faucets, repainting, redo bathrooms, shower, etc). Bathroom and patio flooring needs re-doing, but all other flooring is fine.

Actually, when we take the old cabinets out, will probably need flooring under there redone. I have matching of what was placed down. There was some extra left over, still in the box, and it's still commercially available if I need more than that.

edit: Anyone heard of Renova?

Finding a Place to Rent

Hello everyone!

I'm moving up from Fort Lauderdale in the coming months so I'm looking for a place to live. In my search I have found dozens of great looking apartments with reasonable rates.

However, every time I look at the reviews for a complex or community they are absolutely horrid. I'm not talking just a couple angry people that had a bad run in with maintenance 5 years ago. These are genuine & recent problems like trash not being picked up, infestations, rampant crime, maintenance neglect, restricted access to amenities, crappy internet - the list goes on. It just seems hopeless when every place I find that looks nice is run so poorly.

I've seen some nice condos as well, but I've never lived in one and am not familiar with how those complexes work, nor can I find any reviews on them.

If anyone here could provide some guidance here for me it would be greatly appreciated - anywhere from Boca to Lake Worth!
