Would love to hear any love or hate in the comment section on youtube
I just purchased my first bmpcc 4k! I'm looking to rig it the proper way. Has anyone try this battery before? Or do you have any recommendations? Thank you!
Bmpcc 4k
I am using a blackmagic 4k with an olympus 12-50mm, I purchased this lens for the power zoom but when zooming in, power zoom or manual, the footage shakes a lot. Any advice, or is this just a faulty lens?
I have found (What I believe to be) a pretty good deal on a BMMCC. For a little under 1000$ I can get the camera, a cage, a grip, a monitor, two lenses, sd card, extra batteries and some lens filters.
It will be my first camera, but I have experience shooting on a Canon R5 and an M50. I want to learn how to shoot well, film some hobby projects, and potentially do some work for friends at events.
I considered getting something like an A7ii, but decided that I would rather spend a little more to get something nice, is this stupid, or would you say getting this deal would be right for me?
Hi all.
I've been a DSLR user for a while now, but I'm looking to upgrade my gear in the coming months. I've already decided on the 6k Pro after plenty of research on what I think would work best for me.
I've seen a lot of suggestions here to buy used. I have found one online that is listed as "Used - Like New" for under $2k (it says it was most likely a floor model). It has the box and all the included items including Davinci Studio. It's just out of Blackmagic's warranty.
I have no problem buying used gear normally, but cameras are obviously different than cranes, dollies, etc. It's possible I'm a touch paranoid about any hidden problems or being out of warranty. I know there's no 100% guarantee on anything. I think I'm more in the "I've seen a few horror stories and I'm just trying to cover my bases" mentality. Like, is being out of warranty really a big deal? That sorta thing.
In short, this is kind of a big jump for me and any advice you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I only shoot occasionally, but with the integration of the ATEM I fould justify it for my freelance work.
I've been trying to learn my new bmpcc 4k and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and why everything looks like this.
I really love the form factor of this rig right here and would love some help in compiling all the parts I would need to make the rig! thank you
Just received brand new t7 SHIELD for my bmpcc6k. It stops recording immediately. The drive supports 1gb/s, im using the cable it comes with which supports 10gbs/s. This is supposed to be a supported drive so I'm kind of confused. I tried some things and when recording in HD, it works fine, but in any other resolution, it does not. What should I do? Yes i formatted multiple times. Thank you.
They do have a m43 mount but the compatibility list does not include BM. I assume that’s my answer but if it’s the m43 mount why wouldn’t it?
Any word or news on when the BM Pyxis Monitor is expected to release? Really loving the Ursa Cine EVF, but I can't wait for the Pyxis monitor!
Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade my power solution from my current NP-F plate and batteries. I need a battery plate that does the following:
(either V-mount or Gold mount, I haven't decided yet)
To my understanding the safest way to power the camera is to use the battery plate for everything else and then plug the camera straight to the battery itself. Is this true?
Trying to record screen settings and Histogram wondering if you guys know if there is a way to send screen info over SDI? I only see the features like Peaking, false color, guidelines, and etc.
Hey! Not sure if this is allowed but I am selling my BMPCC6k Pro kit both on ebay or directly through P+P Goods and Services (for a bit of a discount without the ebay tax haha). Kit comes with the Canon 17-55 f2.8, battery grip, cage, t5 ssd, and 5 batteries. Here is this listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305868403259
My Pyxis is finally here! I can’t do any shooting since my L to F mount adapter isn’t here yet, but I wanted to poke around for settings after upgrading from a P4K.
One setting on the luts page is literally called “Gen 5 Film Look”, which is not on the 4k. I use “gen 5 to extended video”, so can someone tell me or share any info on “Gen 5 Film Look”?
What are some good EVF or monitor solutions for use on a shoulder rig? I thought I saw Tilta had some type of EVF extension accessory
I have a bmpcc6k pro, I want to get a cfast but they are so expensive and I'll most likely need 2 or 3 to cover shoots, I was wondering if anyone has tested using an NVME 2230 to cfast converter and what qualities and resolutions it can handle?
When I first got the Black Magic Cinema Camera 6k I experimented with different resolutions and codecs and quickly filled up a 2Tb hard drive. There's footage from these experiments that I'd like to use later, but 6K Open Gate with Constant Bitrate 3:1 is a huge waste of space for my needs.
Is there any way to take BRAW and export a scaled down version in BRAW (or another format) to preserve flexibility for things like color grading?
Supposing I go through color grading before rendering. I know how to render a video that's "done" and ready for clients or YouTube, but what are the optimal settings for footage I want to use in a future project in 4k?
Thanks!
