A sub dedicated to world's best dog, the Black Mouth Cur. Post images, questions, or just chat about your BMC.
Please read our rules in the sidebar before posting.
Welcome to Black mouth cur. Please DO:
Spay or neuter your animals. Puppy's are cute, but no one likes seeing stray puppies on the road. Do you?
Post pictures of your dogs on here. That's kinda the whole reason why I made this subreddit.
You can post pictures of multiple dogs, dog rescues, and anything else BMC related.
If you want to see this on facebook, (the facebook page is not mine) click this. http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/230772683572/ . You are welcome to do whatever you want on there.
If you do not follow these rules on your posts, I will delete your post on here, and, if it happens to a certain extent, it will result in banning you from the sub-reddit. But that shouldn't happen.
Have fun! (or else) ;)

My friend was trying to pick up a bale of hay from me the other day for her goats and she bumped into Izzy not literally bumped into her but she was like who’s on my turf! Cute video
Izzy in the middle of her lil old sis n her big older bro . Love these goobers … remind me of the three stoogers
Does anyone else out here have a very attention seeking pup? I typically give her all the attention I can, but every now and then I need to do something that requires my attention to be on something else. When that happens it really seems like she's acting out doing whatever she can to get my full attention. Is this common for the breed? Is there a way I can fix this?
Izzy is out like a light been out from 7:00 am till I made her come in at 7 pm doing what she does on edge of woods next to horses n barn hunting n patrolling her turf alerting predator’s to keep out . I recall her every 30-60 mins n make her check in or she does on her own. She usually naps wit her buddies in sun on a dog bed next to window . Today’s average temp was 27 n ground was frozen. Doesn’t bother her so I’m guessing she has Siberian in here for sure there was some on her dna but it was like only 13% and no Shepard but had lab pit n Pyrenees but gosh is exact description of breed as far as coloring behavior traits etc. I see a lot of dogs on here that are so similar looking I’m wondering if ur dogs if able to free roam have same traits n super smart n obedient but dominant high energy n highly intelligent I can see her thinking planning ahead unlike my bull mastiff who is so sweet but never can find home when he occasionally thinks he’s a deer hound lol
Meet Teddy. He’s roughly 11wks old. Gotcha date: 1/16/25. So excited for our adventure together.
Got to be comfy for movie night with the kids
I feed my girl Nulo (dry kibble) and then Nulo toppers or Nulo wet food
We just got her a few months ago and have been struggling to figure out her breed. The adoption agency stated she was a boxer mix but a trainer said Black Mouth Cur. That isn't a common breed here in New York, so wanted to share her here and see if you all agree. She is an absolute love bug and a bundle of energy. She is originally from Texas but made her way to New York after summer storms. Four or five foster homes later and she has her forever home.
Well, at first she loved the snow, now she doesn’t want anything to do with it!
She did NOT want to get up this morning. Finally, after a few minutes of stretching and yawning, and the long ‘sigh’, she made it downstairs for her breakfast.
