I was wondering if anyone had a solution on how to connect my Panasonic PTZ controller AW-RP50 to a screen through a Blackmagic Television Studio HD? So that when I select camera 1 on my PTZ controller, the screen (and thus aux) switches to 1 as well, so the operator has a fullscreen look on what they're doing.

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to davinci resolve and earlier I was trying to rotoscope some videos together and some of them were the wrong size so I tried to transform the video then add a polygon to the transform to have the video masked the way I wanted. What ended up happening was that the mask then masked the transform and the upscaled video would show up behind the mask. I was wondering if there were any better ways to do this.

Basically what I was trying to do is have an animated split screen with three videos that would all animate in with an animated line,

My black magic 6k LCD screen won’t turn back. The red light turns on but the screen does not. I just came from from Japan and it was working fine and need to get extra shots for a YouTube video so really need it fixed. Waiting for the black magic folks to respond back but idk if I should just take it to my local camera shop. Any tips will help.

Hi there, I'm a student filmmaker and on my last shoot the SSD in the camera mid-shoot stopped recording and then only read format on the camera, a pc, and a mac. We finished the shoot on an SD card and those files are just fine. I was able to get the files with I believe Recuva but they are showing up as unplayable .movs instead of .braw. I tried renaming them and it only worked on two of them. The rest seem to still have their data and everything, but I can't get them to play.

I read through some of the earlier posts and sent them off to aeroquartet for repair, and they seem to be able to do it (previews of files seem fine) but they're charging me ~$500 to repair ~1 hour worth of footage. I just can't afford to pay that; are there any other options? Or something I can do.

I have a couple Blackmagic micro studio g2 4k’s rigged up to an ATEM. I noticed that when I power down and power back up, my picture settings revert back to what they were before I made adjustments.

After doing some research, I read that this is caused by having SDI in/out connected since you’re able to adjust settings on the ATEM control.

Is there a work around for this?

I’ve been using this camera in a professional space for almost 3 years now and have had a lot of success, but recently my footage is coming out grainy or with bands suddenly. Do you all have any YouTube channels or suggestions on how to get the most out of my camera?

And shot video on it as well as on a Sony alpha 7iii.

I have 7 Micro Studio G2 4k cameras running to a ATEM SDI Extreme ISO switcher. I also have a multi dock attached with 4 SSD’s.

When I set the cameras to record at 1080p, it all works as intended. As soon as I switch the output to 4k, the multi view goes black and a black video records on our ssd’s.

I’m also running a SDI to HDMI 3g converter to get the multi view on a TV. I ordered the 12g version of this in hopes that it will solve this problem.

Am I missing something? Will the SDI to HDMI 12g even solve my problems? How many problems do I actually have?

Being able to output 4k with all the cameras genlocked is a must for an upcoming project and time is against us.

I've made sure the HDMI cable worked by using it in output 2 and it works fine. I've factory reset as well, nothing is working. Has anyone else had this issue?

Looking to add a hyperdeck pro to our atem switcher. We're currently using a mini so I'm used to editing off a SD card via SD card Reader. I figure I'll need a USB dock, caddy, or adapter for the SSDs and my windows machine.

Any recommendations on your favorite way to connect the SSD to your computer?

Edit to add: the Blackmagic system is on an isolated network and can't connect to the outside world or any office computers.

Need some help to see if what a client of mine wants to do is possible. I have a client who wants to setup a multi-cam live stream using an ATEM Extreme to connect all cameras. But, he wants to stream directly to YouTube via the iPhone app because of how YouTube publishes that stream vs. a traditional stream using. stream key, etc.

To the best of my knowledge, the YouTube iPhone app doesn't let you select any video source except using the phone's camera.

Does anyone know of a way in the Blackmagic eco system to record 2 m/e at the same time and playback a video that is still recording from the beginning? I need to be able to record two matches at the same time, one main and one as a back up. When the main match finishes I need to be able to start playing back the backup match from the beginning even if it's still being recorded. Bonus if that video can be played back at an increased speed until it catches up to the recording. Currently I'm able to do this with our NewTek Tricaster but we're looking to switch to a Blackmagic ecosystem.

For put a logo over the live video I have to use Atem software Control, but when I have selected the command, the computer have to be still linked to atem for work? Or I can unplug the computer and the key still have command to make the logo appear?

I've been trying for the last 2 days to get my audio to work. I'm using Linux Mint Cinnamon. I have several .mp4 zoom call files I'm trying to edit. I can import them into DRS and the video works fine, but there is no audio, and it's showing no waveforms. I've tested DRS with a .mov file that was created from someone else using DRS and that file had audio.

I've tried converting the .MP4 file to .M4V using Handbrake and converting it to .mov using ffmpeg but still can't get the audio to work....

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Is there a way to set the Color Space on the SDI output of Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2? How about the HDMI output?

I'm one of the creators of a live captioning tool called Zip Captions (https://zipcaptions.app), but I'm also a high school teacher. We often live caption our content, but we currently have no way to do this with our live streams, we just display them locally on TVs. We are currently using a ATEM Mini Pro to Hyperdeck HD Mini Plus connected to a WebPresenter 4K. Somewhere in here (and I suspect it maybe be via OBS, as our Web app supports web sockets with OBS) I'd like to be able to add captions to the stream. Does anyone have any ideas of how to achieve this, or of what would need to be implemented to make this happen?

I have a pocket cinema 4K, and we just picked up some Ursa G2’s for work. Sandisk has their new generation of base ssd on sale right now. Would this card work for either purpose. Just worried about the right speed

I started out creating content on an iPhone and after a nightmare on Premiere, I settled on Resolve and get on really well with it.

I’ve decided it’s time to upgrade to a proper, albeit entry level, camera and have ordered a ZV-E10 but realise I may have overlooked an issue. Am I right in thinking the 4k files generated by the Sony will not be usable in the free version of Resolve? So it’s a question of finding a further £300+ to pay for the Studio version? Thanks guys.

I'm having some issues with Davinci Resolve Studio (18.6.6) ever since I cleared my cacheclip on Windows C: - I was alerted I was running out of storage room due to my cache overload and auto-backups from Davinci. I'll admit, I did this in a panic over trying to edit a project by the deadline - and somehow, I ended up accidentally deleting Davinci (stupid on my part).

I had to reinstall, and ever since then I've been having issues with playback. I can see my media if I double click it, but I can't play anything on my timeline. I uninstalled then reinstalled my graphics driver (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti), in the hopes that would help - but it did not. I'm still working on a deadline and desperate for help as this has rendered any editing nearly impossible.

I changed my Media Storage in Davinci to go to my external hard-drive instead, to accommodate even further and try to provide enough room for my backups/cache/etc. I'm not sure if that made things worse or better, but my problem persists.

^As you can see, my media is showing up in the media pool and as thumbnails on my timeline, but when I scroll over or go to play anything, all I get is this black screen.

^When I double-click my media on the timeline, the clip shows up - however, it only "allows" me to play the entire unedited clip, starting from the portion in which I cut for my timeline. Even though I can see it on my preview screen, however, playback is extremely slow and unresponsive.

If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to dedicate myself to learning more about how Davinci and my computer works, and I'm pretty uneducated about it. I'm editing on a iBUYPOWER Y40 Gaming Desktop, Intel Core i-7-13700F - 32GB DDR5 RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB - 2 TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11. I'm editing 4K RED footage (but my timeline resolution is set to 1080 as I've had playback issues in the past). Thank you so much.

I had a v-mount plate from Hedbox fitted on my Ursa Broadcast G2 but it died on me within a few months, I think a Kondor Blue D-tap to usb-c accessory fried it. So, I'll be looking to replace my v-mount plate as the standard plate only has one D-tap out. Can anyone recommend me one, preferably with usb-a, usb-c and multiple d-tap out?

Hi guys i just bought the blackmagic studio camera 4k pro i wanted to record with it my podcast, but i do not want to livestream. i just want to record the content it, then edit it afterwards. Can anyone explain the process of this please? and what equipment it requires. i read somewhere about an external recorder but i just want to make sure

So we are building a studio for esports mostly, we do some live tv for a client but that more live to tape than anything so it's less of a worry. We are swapping from Sony camera's we used for more IRL live events that were heavy auto focus to more set and fixed setup. We are getting Studio G2's and Micros for our different sets. We have a control desk that its all being fed to. So here is the question...

What switcher setup is the best play? We don't want anything too crazy and money isn't a huge factor but we do want to avoid over spending as well. We don't really understand the advantages of the new 1 or 2ME vs ATEM Extreme, maybe even the tv studio? We can use HDMI or SDI, not married to either. We really want 5 camera setup, maybe a 6th. Obv need the switching, we are using virtual audio systems now because casters and other elements are often remote even tho we have in house production talent too. Same with game feeds and data. We are using OBS and vMix heavily, stream decks with companion as well. Can list anymore as needed.

Our control room is between a podcast set and main set. They are two different systems currently but it's pretty patch work honestly and from the NAB we are looking to lock in more of ideal/long term setup.
