Hi, I've been experiencing problems with over exposure and I'd would be very thankful for any advices. I'm amateur but I've been studying a lot of materials online to level up my travelling videos - I'm using iPhone 15 pro for filming , downloaded BM app and also purchased K&F ND filter (filming in LOG). The filter should be ND2 - ND 400 and I'm using the classic rule for shutter speed (for example 24fps = 1/48 shutter speed). I will rather not discuss the quality of the filter because even on the maximum it seems not enough - but the thing that's been worrying me is the exposure and correct settings. I have a zebras settings on 90% , ISO at almost lowest possible values (50-100) and the scene is very bright / over exposed. But I don't know how to recognize it since zebras are not showing. So then I have to rely on my "eye judgment" if it's ok, but as you can guess usually it's not. Can you please have any advice how to solve this, how to recognize good exposed scene and good settings on very bright sunny day (maybe set the zebras at lower values)?
I am the AV tech for my church. We stream our services live on YouTube using an ATEM Mini Pro (direct stream) and a MacBook Pro to manage the stream. Everything is connected via gigabit Ethernet; our Internet connection is 100Mbps symmetrical fiber.
Regardless of what streaming settings I've tried (RTMP, HLS, variable bit rate, etc) we frequently see several errors when streaming on YouTube:
"No data: YouTube is not currently receiving data for this stream. If you believe this is incorrect, ensure you're sending a stream and that it is configured with the correct stream key."
"Error: YouTube is not receiving enough video to maintain smooth streaming. As such, viewers will experience buffering."
"Warning: The stream's current bitrate (1500-3000Kbps) is lower than the recommended bitrate. We recommend you use a stream bitrate of 6800Kbps."
I've run several jitter and packet loss tests to make sure packets aren't getting dropped. I've run continuous pings to the YouTube RTMP servers. Speed tests consistently show our Internet connection's max, regardless of which test I use.
I'm not really sure what else to try. I've set the switcher video standard to 1080p30. I've set the streaming quality to Low. Nothing seems to help.
I'm not a AV engineer by any means; I have a solid tech background but the guy that set everything up left our church and this basically got dumped in my lap.
Helloš
Has anyone cleaned their sensor on the 4.6K g1? Is it the same process and tools as for DSLR?
Thank youu
Hello! I donāt know if I already asked this, but what do I need to get a full setup for the Pyxis ?
weird question- i have a BM 6k pro camera with a fully broken screenā¦ can i change itās frame rate from atem mini proās software?
if that is achieved only via bluetooth it wonāt be possible (cause id never be able to see the code on the screen to pair it initially during setup if thats required?). is it? or via hdmi work? thanks ive been stuck with this camera in 60fps, an unknown shutter, and having to guess when adjusting the iso im at by the front wheel toggle so this would be great
went to an intersection here in SE Portland and shot with 3 cameras: Krasnogorsk-3 16mm, BlackMagic Cinema Camera 2.5K, & BlackMagic Micro G1 šļø š„
I have a new computer and did a fresh install of Davinci Resolve. It crashes on the splash screen while Loading Projects. I've tried ending the task and retrying, as well as restarting my PC and reinstalling Resolve but that didn't work. Any ideas?
B&H says "New Item - Coming soon" since months.
Hi!
My new Micro Studio 4K G2 shipped with firmware 8.4, which doesnāt seem to be the newest.
When I connect it and open the Blackmagic camera update 9.1 on my Mac, I can configure the camera, but it doesnāt prompt me to update the firmware.
Is 8.4 really the newest firmware for the MSG2?
Windows says it needs a driver for a Shuttle to work with my Dell PC. I found this website but there are a lot of options. Which one do I need so that my computer can "see" the Shuttle?
In typical BMD way, seems like a new camera is going to come out early 2025 to replace their popular Pocket 4K. Just curious, does this price appeal to you? Or you rather wait to see what they're coming out with?
Hi everyone,
I noticed latelty that I have a constant noise on my Mic 1 input. I attach a screenshot - nothing is connecting and I have this constant noise floor. It's gone when I switch to line, but that might be due to the difference in levels.
Do I have a faulty Mic 1 input or is there anything I can do to get rid of the noise.
Mic 2 doesn't have any noise.
I appreciate any input.
Best Daniel
Hey might anyone know of this issue? I have recorded plenty of times in the past.
ISO Record onto a T7 Shield 2TB
Files are not on the Drive at all - when I look at "Get Info" the SSD there clearly is data used up (1.7 TB available of 2TB)
Hello! I was wondering if there is a way to genlock an array of 7 BMPCC 6k cameras. I know this is not a built in feature, but is it possible using a HDMI to SDI converter on each camera and a mini converter sync generator?
Thanks!
Hey All.
I'm trying to integrate ATEM coms into our fiber package, and I just want to confirm some behavior.
I've got talkback from my Atem production studio 4k working with the cameras, but when I take the same output that works with the cameras as the program input to the studio convertor, the cameras no longer hear talkback.
They can hear a mic plugged into the face of the convertor, but they can't hear talkback from the switcher itself.
They CAN see the return line, and tally / camera control seems to work, but it seems like the talkback sound from the switcher gets stripped.
Does anyone else use this converter? Can you confirm the behavior?
Thanks in advance.
I'm completely new to this program and instantly have issues without ever doing anything with it.
Upon launching Resolve and selecting a New Project I face 4 messages:
Any ideas on how to resolve this.
I solved this finally. Here are the steps for anyone else in my situation:
Open Resolve. Click on Davinci Resolve in top left corner, preferences, media storage, remove the old/only/current storage location. Click add. Add a new folder somewhere like the desktop. Save.
Go to File, project settings, master settings, working folders, update proxy/cache/gallery to point to the new folder. The go to capture and playback, capture, update the save clips to folder the same way. Save.
Hi, I just installed this app, but I can't seem to find the photo mode. Is there such a thing? š¤
So I've got a feed going to an led processor and split to our 2ME 4k Atem. But the image in the multiviewer and pgm out is a lot more contrast than what the led processor sees. Does the atem do anything to an image on input? Literally the same feed going to two places with nothing in between so I'm baffled as to why the atem looks different co pared to the source.
Hi all, I am part of my church's tech team and we are revamping our livestreaming setup. At the moment we have a thunderbolt 2 Ultrastudio 4k that we connect to our streaming mac via 10m thunderbolt 2 and thunderbolt 3 adapter.
Our thunderbolt cable now isn't long enough to connect the mac and ultrastudio4k together, so we are looking at buying a 15m one which you can imagine is quite pricy.
At the same time, I have been looking to get a Decklink duo 2 for our ProPresenter mac. I am aware that we could send a video input from our ATEM Video Switcher to the streaming mac via the Decklink duo 2 (which is the only reason we use the ultrastudio 4k), but my question is whether I could connect the Decklink duo 2 to both our ProPresenter mac for 3 inputs and one output to the streaming mac. The Sonnect Echo Express SEi enclosure I've looked at has 2 thunderbolt ports which makes me think that in theory this could be possible.
I understand that moving the ultrastudio 4k closer to the streaming mac (it only takes 1 SDI input and 2 XLRs for stereo audio) is the cheapest decision, I just want to know whether the Decklink duo 2 method is possible. I also understand if this was possible, the Decklink Duo 2 would limit us at 1080p60, our ATEM runs at 1080i50 at the moment, and we don't have any 4k cameras so this isn't an issue at the moment
Has anyone had any experience with this?
