Purely Black traditional clothing?

I'm planning my wedding. I am African American and want to incorporate my linage into my wedding suit/gear. Obviously I'm not going full blown Stars and Stripes but I still want to honor my ancestors and the heritage I come from. I'm not sure how to do this and was seeking your advice.

When I look online the best advice I see is to incorporate a kente cloth dress or shirt, a dashiki, a pair of African print pants, a head-wrap, a pair of sandals.. I don't feel like this is my ancestors when I think of African Americans none of them in the photos as enslaved people or in my album wear this.

Obviously as enslaved people the options were scares and the closer to today, the clothing is suit and tie. Any other ideas for someone trying to incorporate the true African American cultural aspect into a wedding (to acknowledge lineage) and not flamboyant patriotism?

Black "genre" movies from the 70s that could have been adapted into long-running comics?

Heya, white dude here, and I have a... weird, exceedingly high-concept setting idea I was wanting some advice on.

Specifically, I have a superhero universe concept bouncing around in my head, and part of the core concept is that it's meta-paratextually made up of several different fictional comics companies' universes that got mushed together, one of those being a hypothetical black-run comics outfit from the late 60s to the mid-early 80s.

Characters included from that 'verse would be the setting's equivalent to Batman (Albeit, mostly retired, because he basically long-term won in a way they don't let Batman do) and a character who's basically "What if Sho'Nuff from The Last Dragon were a good guy?" who''s also the equivalent to Thor (Albeit, he's an egregore based on Susanoo, it's weird, I will explain if y'all are interested).

But one other idea I had is to have original characters bumping around the setting that're from hypothetical comics based on licensed properties but owned by the original comics company for which they were produced. For an IRL example of what I'm drawing on, think of how the original monsters created for Marvel's Godzilla comics are still canon and how Bug from Micronauts and the Dire Wraiths from ROM Spaceknight are still Marvel canon too.

Now, I have some ideas for ones from a hypothetical Gamera comic by another hypothetical publisher making this hypothetical composite, specifically Genbu Jr. and Snappy (Who I'll elaborate on if you're interested), but I'm interested in the hypothetical ones from this universe too.

Blacula is an obvious one, and I have some ideas like Set-Apophis The White Mummy (Villain) and the Black Werelion (hero, but in a way akin to those D&D stories about a lawful evil character getting bitten by a werebear, if you get me).

But, I'd need more points of reference, so I may as well ask, what "genre" films by black creators from the hypothetical era in which this hypothetical comics company was in existence would make for good hypothetical licensed comics from which to derive characters? I do know about Rudy Ray Moore's films, but IDK how suited they'd be for that, and I would like a wider reference pool.

...and yes, I am aware of how weird this is as a means of building a setting, I just really like metafiction.
