I have nose bleed seats for the upcoming Tyson vs Paul fight. It’s at AT&T stadium which seats 112,000 people, I believe, so it’s pretty big. What would you recommend that’s small enough to carry around but strong enough to see Jake Paul bleed?
Want to buy a pair of 10x42 binos. Going back and forth between a new pair of Swarovski ELs and a used pair of NL Pures if I can find some. What do y’all think a used set of NL Pures would go for? Is it really worth the difference in price? Going to be used for hunting
?
Anyone else run their neck strap like this. My first Nikon Monarch M7. It was a little bit of a pain to get the straps setup.
This mountains circled in the picture are exactly two miles away. I want the farthest possible zoom I can get to look at the mountain. What do you guys recommend??? Thank you!!!
Someone near me is selling some 2018 10x42 ELs for $1100 (got them down from $1400) and some 2010 10x42 SLCs for $1100 (guessing I could get them down more). I'm buying them for hunting purposes and assuming they are using them for birding. Is that a good price for the ELs? Does their warranty transfer to new owners?
I've had the Vectronix Shooting Solutions Vector X 10x-42 MSR-DMR for over a month or so. You can get the specifications off their site, but it is basically a laser rangefinding binocular with Applied Ballistics onboard along with environmental sensors and an etched reticle. Supports up to 30 gun profiles internally which can be synced via their phone app.
I'm going to try running these instead of my Swarovski EL Range TA 10x42 in the next NRL Hunter matches in 2025 and we'll see how they perform in 2-day match conditions.

Pros:
Cons:
I'm considering purchasing the Celestron Nature DX ED 8x42 binoculars, primarily for wildlife viewing and a bit of astronomy. Customer care recommended the 10x50 model instead. I’ve read that 10x magnification can be challenging to hold steady, but the larger aperture and zoom of the 10x50 are appealing.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I also noticed the magnification is fixed, which was a bit disappointing—is that generally an issue, or is it fine? Personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Does the Trailseeker also have fixed magnification and are they a significant improvement over Nature DX?
Also given that many mobile phones have 5x optical zoom, is 8x with binoculars a significant improvement or it's better because of the aperture?
Hey all, I have the chance to buy an Oly 10x50S for 60€, never used, seller says it's from 2019 (but unsure). I'm probably not getting deeper into the hobby, and the main use would be casual nature/night sky watching and whenever I feel like I wanna watch something in the distance. The only negative I readt so far is that it's BaK4 and only mono coated. Is it still a good deal at that price? The other option would be a new Aculon A211, but that's double the price
Thanks for your input
As per title. It's a Celestron Trailseeker ED 8x42. Probably submerged for a good 5 minutes as I tried to fish it out in vain before conceding I had no choice but to go waist deep into the water to get it out.
What should I do to minimize the damage? I understand this model is waterproof and filled with an inert gas.
Appreciate any advise you can offer. Thank you.
I’ve been on the lookout for a new pair of binoculars. Not shopping for anything special, probably a 10x42 or even a 10x30. I’m not an extensive user and probably only log 3-5 hours/year looking through binoculars. My main uses are while hunting or otherwise outdoors. No star-gazing or niche uses. I was looking at some Nikon Monarchs and quickly realized I could spend $500 when I was hoping to spend about half that.
My current pair (a gift) have been exhibiting double vision and have always been very picky about interpupillary adjustment and hold in order to get a nicely combined image. With all the options (and many of them look identical) it has had me thinking about a better way to buy binoculars.
So my question is, what would be a best buy in used binoculars? Obviously any potential purchase has to check a lot of boxes concerning condition, past use, etc. but ignoring that, what era and brand/model would you recommend for my use that would prove as good or better than the new offerings at my price point? Thanks!
Where can I find parts for Bushnell? The knob fell off of my bone collectors and I can’t find a replacement online. Can someone lead me in the right direction? TIA
Are those svbony binoculars any good for a beginner bird watcher?
Hi all, So as the title says I’m looking for some affordable to buy for my step father for Christmas, who wants some to look at and across the bay next our house. I’d estimate the distance it would need in order to accomplish looking over the bay would need to be 40km, which does sound quite far. Now I know next to nothing about binoculars, and idk if that’s even feasible, or if that’s in more telescopic range. If 40km is far too long, I’m sure he’d be content with smth with around 20km range to simply look out onto the water with. Any suggestions or alternatives would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I want to get a pair of proor prism binoculars that are not to expensive. Does anyone know a good pair
Hi, I got frehel 8x42 binoculars as a gift and they're pretty awesome. But i want to upgrade to a budget telescope or a more powerful binocular since I can't really see planets or nebulaes with this one. Is it worth upgrading? Also am I setting up my binoculars wrong because Ive heard many people say 8x binoculars is enough for astronomy
EDIT: thanks for helping! I will probably save up for a telescope since I already have this pair of binoculars!
Hi all,
I am looking for an inexpensive pair of binoculars to bring to an F1 race next year. I know nothing about the topic but saw other threads recommending 10x42.
Honestly this is probably more than I would want to spend for something used so rarely but how do you think this one stacks up and is it appropriate for the event type?

I know I won't capture cars at high speed so it's more for observing the grid and pit lane.
Thank you!
How is it possible to know
1) which one
Can "stellar magnitude" be seen with binoculars, for example with these characteristics (see photo)?
2)And what magnitude do the planets belong to?
Thank you
I am completely just surprised. I saw them at a sale today and I got so lucky. Holy they work, they have the case. I searched them up. They're selling for like 1000$ today. Im just, idk what to do....
For handheld binoculars I have always advised people to stick with 1 power X 5 objective mm range. Is this good adivce to be giving. With most field binoculars using 25/30/42/50 objectives power range might be 6-10.
I am interested in what subreddit members thoughts are on this.
I see people get 20X50 or 10X25 binoculars and wonder what the pros and cons of those are.
