It was destroyed by Katrina but Silver Screen was a two dollar theater back in the day that played movies long after they were released. They served food and beer, too, and even had tables in the theater. I never got to see (ahem, experience) Rocky Horror Picture Show there but I think they played it once a week along with all that entailed. The last film I saw there, I think, was Candyman. I found a little write up about it but couldn’t find too many folks mention it on Reddit. https://cinematreasures.org/theaters/9018
Where the parties at?
I’m single and I work from home so I’m getting a bit stir crazy. I’ve seen a lot of conversation about Ocean Springs being the happening place to go. Are there any other suggestions on places to mix and mingle?
They for sure need more to do around the city starting with revamping downtown so it’s walkable and enjoyable. Way too many over weight and old people here who look like they’re waiting to die maybe it’s the crap job market or lack of nature parks here idk I travel to other cities and they look like they’re actually enjoying life and doing stuff not JUST ON THE WEEEKENDS. I understand works a thing I’m over busy but it seems everywhere just drinks eats starts drama and waits to die here there’s no ambition. Sucks cause this place does have so much potential and I love some small parts of it. (This goes for the entire coast not just biloxi)
I just moved to this area yesterday with 3 young kids, what is the best area to trick or treat in?
Any recommendations on personal trainers for weight training in Biloxi or on base at Keesler?
Looking to potentially make a move to Biloxi - I was looking at an apartment complex called Eula Cove. Anyone have any information on the specific area? How's the crime and the economy?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for advice on how to help a neighborhood cat that’s been around my apartment complex since I moved in a year ago. He’s like our little community cat—strong, healthy, and loved by everyone. But he’s had a rough time recently. First, he got attacked by a possum, but he bounced back like a champ. Now, though, it’s even worse. From what I’ve heard, someone kicked him in the face, and he’s lost some teeth. I’m honestly shocked anyone could do something like this.
He’s super thin now and struggling to eat, and it breaks my heart seeing him like this. I really want to help, but a vet bill just isn’t something I can afford right now as I’m battling cancer myself. I don’t want to call animal control if they’re just going to put him down. I want him to have a shot at recovery if there’s a way to make that happen.
Does anyone have suggestions for low-cost or free options? Or any ideas on how I could help him get food he can actually manage to eat? I’d be grateful for any advice.
Thanks in advance.
How does one get into crabbing here? Is there a season for it?
I just recently moved back down to the gulf coast (Biloxi) and I’ve got an event coming up in a few days and need to find a place that can braid/style my hair before Thursday (10/31/24) or early that day. My budget is around $125-150. I’m including an image of what I’d like done. If any of you have any suggestions please let me know! Thank you!
Me and two of my friends (all M19) will be on the coast this evening and are looking just for a good place to chill, eat, and watch some football.
I’m a musician in Biloxi for the next week to visit a friend. I have a guitar with me and would love to check out a local open mic if there are any happening in the next few days. My hometown has awesome open mic events 3 days a week, and I’m hoping to find something with a similar collaborative vibe to meet some fellow musicians. Any recommendations?
My wife just came home cracking up and sort of feaking out about her experience at this really nice and new car wash on Pass Rd. Her and another lady got there around the same time with the hope that they can get everything clean in a timely manner. My wife finished paying first because all she wanted was a quick $5 wash and the lady next to her chose the $30 option right after her. Just as my wife started to move the lady pulled ahead her of her and for some reason started to flip her off. The thing is since my wife paid first, the lady ended up getting my wife’s $5 wash and started to freak out midway through while my wife ended up taking her $30 wash. Some people don’t like to wait in line apparently. Overall the car looks amazing and can’t wait to take my own vehicle there.
Are there any cycling clubs around the area? I saw a group the other day but don’t know where to go to join one
The temps are really comfortable now for walk/jog/run. Anyone interested in meeting up across from the Lighthouse?
Hey y’all! What are some of your favorite inexpensive eats in the area? We are fans of some raw oysters and sushi, we also love some pho / banh mi, open for any suggestions and any price range!
I am wondering if anyone knows of anywhere local that handles 3d printing jobs? I've just moved back to the area and I have been working in additive manufacturing for the past 3 years and been modeling and printing my own things for about 6 years and wouldn't mind finding some work in this field again.
Or if anyone is in need of small custom 3d printed parts I may be able to help.
Thanks.
Hello! We are looking for a place for short term/month to month rental in the area. We would prefer a place with a yard for our two well-behaved dogs. We are non-smoking, rarely drinking types who just need a place while we look for land to build on. Does anyone have any good leads or know anyone who wants two good tenants for a place for a few months? Thank you!

Hey all,, I'm back with more. Thank you all for your recommendations in the last post I've created a list and those restaurants have been added.
TLDR; The Bad to the Bone Ribs at CB Jamaican Jerk are amazing. 10/10 flavor and experience.
This week I visited CB's Jamaican Jerk as I was in the mood for a nice big plate of meat..pause.. so I went to this restaurant as ribs piqued my interest. The restaurant was nice and clean but oddly enough the air was really fresh I was expecting the throaty smoke filled it of other BBQ places. So as was my mission I ordered the half rack of ribs..I usually like a full rack but I didn't want to be greedy. The 'Bad to the Bone BBQ Ribs' came out pretty quickly and I was in for a pleasant surprise. Aptly named, the tender piggy meat fell off the bone and the FLAVORS (yes I'm yelling) were absolutely divine... Not too salty not too sweet just perfection. Biloxi, I do not understand what is in the air here, but the food that is made here is world-class.
What are the best neighborhoods on the coast for Halloween decorating and trick-or- treating?
In 2023 I was in Biloxi for a Guns N' Roses concert, and I stayed at the Hard Rock. While I was there, I went to a game store called Jax, and bought some D&D stuff. Does anyone know if that store still exists?
What the hell is all the booms I am hearing today?
What’s all that noise about??? Is there a muster going on at Beauvoir?
Hi everyone! I’m moving to the Long Beach, Mississippi area for school and am looking for an apartment in Long Beach, Gulfport, or nearby areas. My budget is $700-$1100 per month.
I’d love to find a place in a safe area, and if having a roommate could lower rent, I’m definitely open to that as well. If anyone has any recommendations or knows of any available places, I’d really appreciate the help! Thanks in advance!

Hey y’all, wondering if anyone has experience with Fort Bayou apartments in OS. Do you or do you not recommend?
