Hi hive mind!
I'm wanting to set up some baby classes in my local area (I've recently left full-time teaching to follow this dream of mine ✨️)
I would really appreciate anyone finding 5 minutes to fill in this 5 minute survey - it's multiple choice and only 10 questions..
Thanks so much x
Hi ! I am currently a final year psychology student and am conducting a dissertation based on parental stress, home learning and children's school readiness. I'm looking for parents with children between the ages 2-6years old, and am having trouble gathering participants. I understand this forum isn't about parent surveys, but I was wondering if parents could kindly fill out the survey, as I am in desperate need of participants. The survey is anonymous and ethically approved by the British psychological society, please refer to the cover sheet for more information:

Hello!
We are fourth-year students from the University of the Philippines College of Nursing, and we are looking for at least 101 more participants for our online survey. Our undergraduate research looks into the factors related to the adherence to folic acid supplementation. Folic acid is especially helpful for those in the reproductive age (e.g., extremely beneficial for the health of a growing baby in the womb as well as for the mother's well-being). Our findings will contribute to the improvement of women’s well-being, and maternal and child health in the Philippines.
Individuals may voluntarily participate in the online survey if they are:
-- A Filipino living in the Philippines
-- An 18-49 year old female
-- Prescribed to take folic acid supplement daily at least one month ago
-- Safari, Chrome, MS Edge, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox users
On the other hand, individuals may not participate if they are:
-- Someone with severe/critical physical or psychological conditions
-- Admitted in acute care facilities
-- Not willing to participate in the study
-- Someone with no internet access
Please click either of the links below to access our online survey questionnaire.

Edit: WOW! I just came back home and I saw we're at around 1200 people that enrolled. That's crazy!! I'm so so happy I could share this course for free to so many people! My heart feels so warm knowing this <3. Unfortunately I can't share it for free anymore, but I'll replace the link with the cheapest possible price (10$) so if anyone was late it's not too bad. Thanks again for this opportunity, I'm so so happy so many of you appreciated it. Hope you won't be mad I can't afford to share it for free anymore. Love you guys (and gals) 💗💗💗
Hey everyone! I'm a professional first aid teacher. I just finished creating really high quality first aid course to help young parents keep their children and babies safe. (I worked on it 2 months straight!).
I'm giving the course for free to as many people as I can afford to help spread this knowledge. I'm not asking anything in return tbh, just that you will only enroll if you are actually planning to take the course and that you will consider leaving a review.
Here's the link: https://www.udemy.com/course/first-aid-for-children-and-babies/?couponCode=CHEAPEST-POSSIBLE It should expire within a couple of days
Hopefully you will enjoy! Remember it's best to take action now. When an emergency happens and you're not prepared it's already too late.
Good luck 😁🤗🤗
Australian mums and dads, we'd love for you to help us better understand how screen time might impact kids' development! We've got a prize draw of ten $50 vouchers as a thank you for your time.

I feel like I have no control over my toddler who does nothing that I ask, but everything and only everything that she wants. She's been obsessed with destruction lately. During her naps she lay in her bed and kick the wall every day and then again every night at bedtime. She likes running head first and launching herself into the wall from the couch; seemingly trying at all costs to do the opposite of what I try to help her not to do. She won't sit down when I read, when she comes to me asking to blow bubbles I do it maybe twice before she's moved on to the next thing.
She seems to be smart enough to learn, but I really can't seem to explain, tell her no, or distract her enough. I can barely get her to pay attention when I need her attention. I have to pick her up and hold her still in front of me to say anything that I NEED her to hear. I know it's early but I have ADHD and I am beginning to question if this is how it starts, though because of the pandemic I have had little opportunity to observe other parents and their children. What I do notice is that other parents at the bare minimum can get their toddlers to sit still for at least a photo now and then, while I often have to take stills from videos.
Is there any advice or personal rules to follow?
Anything would be helpful, it is incredibly exhausting as for the first time tonight I was so done I put her to bed early and I hate that. I don't feel like she deserves punishment for being this way and I highly doubt she even understands why she's in bed too soon, but I seriously have been left almost breaking down by the end of every night...
My firstborn of 9 months now has two teeth on his bottom lip with the rest on the way. We're aware that this is generally making it hard for him to fall asleep. But lately we're having several nights where he refuses to sleep for extended periods without being rocked constantly or breastfed for long periods. It's causing a lot of stress for his mother. She's been wanting to try letting him cry it out and sleep on his own but didn't have the heart for it. So two days ago I buckled down and insisted we try the Ferber method of verbally checking in on him over increasing periods.
It thankfully worked before the 15 minute mark, but now we have a bigger problem. Since yesterday he has been incredibly cranky during the day and cries loudly if we so much as start walking out of the room without him. We're both heartbroken about this and my wife is now doubly stressed for the 8 hours she has to be alone with him while I'm at work. She also refuses to let him cry to sleep ever again.
I'd really appreciate any advice. No amount of sleep is worth having my baby feel we abandoned it.
Are you in the process of getting a divorce and have at least one child under the age of 18? If so, please consider taking this brief (2 mins) survey. Your participation will help develop a scale to measure conflict level in divorcing parents of minor children. With the development of this scale and future use in the courts, parents can ultimately be directed to appropriate interventions. This survey is completely voluntary and anonymous. This study was reviewed by the IRB at UNC-Chapel Hill, IRB #20-2379. Please click the below link to participate. I sincerely appreciate it. https://unc.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6ioNYkxS0HkiHNr
My baby is 15 months old and she doesn't say "dada" or "mama". She says "beer". No, I don't drink and I don't feed her beer haha. The doctor says that 15 months is a grey area so she will recommend intervention if she is still like that at 18 months. I read to her everyday and speak to her in English and Mandarin.
Tips/advice would be much appreciated. I struggle to limit screen time so please do advise offline aids. Thank you.
Heyy all! I am 18 weeks & 3 days pregnant. I’m looking into carriers for the baby, the ones that you can carry baby in the front of you or the back of you. I was wondering what carriers are y’alls favorites?? I’m “smaller” in body size, I’m 5’6 or 5’7 & 110 lbs. I don’t want anything that will be too big on me & uncomfortable. Thanks in advance for the recommendations!
‼️EDIT: I’m liking the Lillebaby Complete Airflow right now out of all the ones I’ve looked at so far bc it doesn’t seem as big/bulky. Also of all the things I’ve heard about the Lilliebaby Complete Airflow they’ve only been good things! Please y’all give me your recommendations on ANY carrier but also does anyone have the Lilliebaby Complete Airflow that could tell me about it, how it feels, & if it’s very versatile for any type of thing you’d be doing w the baby in it? Maybe pros/cons too??
I am 7 weeks pregnant w my first baby. I am planning to do a water birth w no epidural. I wanted to come on here & ask if there is anyone who has done a water birth? What was your experience like w it & how was it for you? How was the pain? I know I am still early in my pregnancy but I’m just wanting to get information early & also give people time to reply to my question, since this is my first ever post on here. Thank you very much to anyone that shares their experience or helps.
