Follow the Self-Promotion Guidelines
"It's perfectly fine to be a redditor with a Youtube channel, it's not okay to be a Youtube channel with a reddit account." Posting videos/clips relevant to the game is ok if you aren't spamming them. Links just to a channel or live stream are not allowed.

No vague, low effort or clickbaity posts
The title of a post should describe it's content. Users should not have to click a post to find out what it's about. If an article has a clickbait title but you still want to post it, do your best to rephrase the title for reddit.
Scoreposts of low entertainment or interest value should be put in the weekly thread
Low effort images of scores (such as with cameras/non-screenshots) are explicitly not allowed, and if you are unsure about whether it belongs in the megathread or not, then it usually belongs in the megathread.
This only applies to scoreposts - general video posts on Beat Saber content are fine.
No map requests or music posts
Map requests should be made on r/beatsabersongs or the song-requests channel on the Modding Discord. Self-promoting your own music (unless it's an honest request) doesn't belong anywhere since this is a video game community. Try a music community.
Mobile clones and cheap knockoffs are off-topic
Beat Saber is mega popular and therefore has about a billion clones. There are just too many for them to be posted regularly. Clones are allowed if they have some novelty value, usually homebrew stuff, like the Minecraft Beat Saber mod, for example. Also note that while the odd discussion post about novelty clones is allowed, posting generic gameplay of games that aren't Beat Saber is not.

So yesterday I updated my modded install from 1.29.1 to (1.39.0? I think) and I successfully installed all my most important mods so I can play the game. And for some reason the gameplay just feels wrong. I mean it works at least, last time hit recognition didn't work at all and I had a bug where the floor was at chest height. Thats all fine, but I feel like I miss more that before and the "weight" of my sabers in game feel off. One thing I definitely identified was that the vibration feedback was way stronger when entering a wall or when the sabers were touching, and that doesn't feel good at all. I didn't find a settigs menu to adjust the controller feedback tho. And the rest is still a mystery to me, it is probably something I could get used to, but it's definitely annoying.
And why is the pause button maped on the other button now and it seems like I can't change it back.
Does anyone know what's going on and how do I fix it?
Ive bought bohemian rapsody some time ago and tbh, its terrible, its so easy that i cant fell anything while playing, its literally 3n/s. I wanna know all the songs that have a good map like I wanna be a machine (not so easy thats its boring, but not that hard that ill get upset while trying to beat it).
I had found a video where the person used File Manager+ to find the Oculus Updater and disable it but when I tried tapping on it I didn't get the option to disable it. For now I went to settings and disabled download updates, but I'm wondering if this is enough? Or if there's a more surefire way of making sure no updates take place?
I’ve been playing on 1.29.1 for a while and now it seems like it’s being phased out for another version, what’s the best version that has the most mods? I play on PC and manage my mods through BSManager. Thought i’de ask here for the best answers
i uninstalled beat saber a few weeks ago for whatever reason, and now when i reinstalled it, changed the version back, i get a pop up that the game is pirated, i can either cancel, restore or play anyway, but whenever i click play anyway it just immidietly closes the game, i tried to turn off the wifi for start up, it makes it so every few tries i manage to open it, but it loads forever on the black "beat saber" screen until i restart my quest
did something change, do i gotta do something diffrently from when i was doing it like a year ago?
Was just playing online on hard and playing I wanna be a machine. I was in second place and left controller decided to lose tracking right at the hardest part of the song and end up dead last. Are there any controllers compatible with the quest 3 that does not lose tracking. I do the claw grip because if I don’t the controller just slips out of my hand
Ok so I am still fairly new to bs, but I've had my run on a few exp+ maps. (2 different maps for "darkside" by Alan walker, still haven't reached the end.) But I'm very sure that I can't hit these....or maybe it's a "skill issue".
I apologize ahead of time if this has been asked countless times, but what do they mean by swing angle? I've watched a couple of videos about this topic and the wording gets me lost without a comprehensive diagram to dumb it down for me. Thanks in advance.
What is the odd obsession with having me cross my arms mid combo?
I've finally nodded my beat saber and almost every map has me crossing my arms mid combo just to uncross them 0.2 seconds later. I have been trying to get around it but it's really bloody annoying.
I hear some people just use their wrists for playing, but not only is that not fun, but it's not helping. I don't understand why is occurs on every map either. If it's a fast paced map, say goodbye to the next 2 notes.if it's slower, it's slightly doable if there's space. I don't understand ._.
So.
I wanna get into Beat Saber Ranked once I get a new headset (the dumbass that I am managed to lose it. Don't ask me how, even I don't know).
Problem is, I don't know what the map types are.
I mean, I know their names (speed, midspeed, acc, tech, balanced, challenge and such) but I don't know what to expect from them, what's their specificities, etc. (and before you ask, yes I ressearched, but I didn't find any useful answers to that question.)
So, this question is for the Ranked players of the subreddit. What specificities do the different map types have?
I just recently updated Beat Saber to version 1.39.1 via Steam and after a few hiccups when installing mods everything seemed to work fine, even with my new PSVR2. Until I tried to play Someone Else's Hat (awesome map btw), where a black wall is placed right before me. I can stick my head through and see the map behind it, but it won't go away.
Since I've never seen anything like it, I thought I'd ask you. Surely I'm not the first to experience this.
If it helps, these are my installed mods (except automatically installed dependencies):
Y'all ever just don't play ranked because you enjoy other challenging maps? That is what I do
Sup, i just bought myself a Quest 3 last week and now wondering if i should buy Beat Saber on Steam (for easy modding) or on the Quest itself. Since i would like to be portable and sometimes take my quest on holidays without my PC, i would appreciate to buy it on Meta.
But I defintively don't want to limit myself in the future if im going to install some mods. I found out, modding on PC seems way easier but on Quest its not impossible and I have no issues nerding around a little bit, as long as it works in the end.
Are there any mods not working on the Meta Edition? Or is everything possible?
Also, can i use Link to install it on my PC for better graphics if I buy it on Meta? Or am i limited to only installing it on the Quest?
Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered a similar issue. I frequently play Beat Saber on Expert+ difficulty using my Meta Quest 3, primarily with custom songs. Until recently, everything functioned perfectly. However, over the past 2-3 weeks, I’ve noticed a pronounced input lag. It feels as though my controllers are losing tracking during rapid or expansive movements, especially when interacting with blocks located at the upper edges of my field of view. This results in missed blocks, an issue I hadn’t experienced before.
Initially, I suspected a recent update might be the cause. To address this, I used Friday’s Mod to update Beat Saber to version 1.37. Unfortunately, the problem persists, even in the standard version of the game without any mods installed.
I’m curious if a recent update to the Meta Quest 3 or its controllers could be responsible for this issue. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so, have you found any solutions?
Thank you all in advance!
There’s no modifiers.
My headset is beginning to fail and I'm deciding on whether or not to buy a 3S. Before I do, I'd like to hear what 3S owners think of it so far as I've heard pretty much nothing regarding the headset yet. Can it handle speed? How's the tracking? Is it practically like a Q3 with worse resolution?
Hello, I play in pcvr with a pico 4 and I played beat saber once and when I restarted it it put me an error message (which is in pictures)
When I went to windows open xr sa my mark Xr result failure.
And in openXR explorer it gives me an error
I really don't know how to set it up and I tried to reinstall steamVR, pico connect, and other stuff but in vain. I am in total misunderstanding, please help me.
I have ghost, potsb, lustre, tempo katana, and $100 bills remix left to beat on expert. All of them seem hard so in what order should I try to complete them?
Hey all, I've been playing on and off for for almost 5 years now and am in the "on" phase of this game and have been looking for ways to improve, I think I'm a pretty solid player but am always looking for ways to get better. Any tips would be amazing! Here's a video of a recent play for reference of where I'm at
I really love beat saber custom songs and I’ve tried making them but I’m really bad at it. I would love if someone could make some of the songs from the & Juliet musical and maybe some songs from the Bluey soundtrack
It took me a week and a half to get an A on this song. The video has no sound. For some reason with beat saber it doesn’t record sound. I thought it was the quest but it records audio fine on synth riders
What's up folks! Glad to be joining the community here. I will be buying a used Meta Quest 2 from my friend just to exercise while playing beat saber, and I want to know if my PC will be able to handle it, since I really want to play with different songs using mods besides the base ones. Does anyone have the same PC or a PC with similar specs? If so, how well is it running for you? Were you also able to stream your gameplay?
PC: Lenovo Legion Y720 2017 model (when I bought it it said it was "VR-ready")
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
Graphics card: GTX 1060 6 GB VRAM
RAM: 16 GB
Thanks in advance!
Title.
I'm using a Quest 2 with a link cable, game is installed via Steam. I've been trying to find someone else with this problem, but so many similar problems exist that I think I'd get a quicker answer just by making my own post.
Every couple of seconds, even when I'm not moving or swinging the controllers, I lose tracking. The sabers teleport so they're right next to each other at my feet, then they reappear in my hands about a half second later.
This doesn't happen in any other apps or games, just Beat Saber. Any advice would be welcomed!!
Thanks, all!
