Multiple women have worn the Batgirl cowl, three most prominently: Barbara Gordon, Cassandra Cain, and Stephanie Brown. This community exists to celebrate all three and their awesome adventures!
Multiple women have donned the cowl and taken to the streets of Gotham under the name Batgirl, among whom three stand most prominently.
Barbara Gordon: A confident young woman as committed to justice as her father, Gotham City’s top cop Commissioner Gordon.
Cassandra Cain: Born with the assassins David Cain and Lady Shiva as her parents, she was trained to become the perfect warrior.
Stephanie Brown: Born the daughter of the Cluemaster, one of Gotham City's third-rate villains, she worked her way up the Batfamily from her first outing as Spoiler to the Batgirl.

I’m planning on cosplaying Stephanie for an upcoming convention, and I just can’t decide on which version! I’m leaning more towards her batgirl/spoiler costumes over her Robin one. I just want to see which ones are the fan favorites so that I can get a better idea of what I want to do.
I already posted this to Stephanie’s subreddit but wanted to see what everyone here thought.

I really liked the concept of Batgirls but whilst I did enjoy it I feel as though it left a lot to be desired in its writing. There were standout moments but I feel like it could've done with a more cohesive story without elements such as the body swapping which didn't really become anything afterwards.
Hello everyone I made a poll where you could vote for your favorite dc female character. Some of the batgirls are also in this poll.

Ok, I’ve posted this in a few comments sections over the years, but might as well throw it up as my first real post…
James Gunn’s DCU needs its Barbara Gordon, my pitch would be a case of having cake and eating it.
Live action - Babs is Oracle, Cass is Batgirl.
BUT! to help flesh out the early years of this new universe (which appears to be set in a more established timeline), I’d have Babs as Batgirl in an animated series heavily influenced by her Year One comic tone showing Gotham from her POV… and NOT another Batman/Robin show.
You could even have the live action Oracle actress voice her animated flashback self.
Fans of both Batgirls get their girl in the spotlight to shine (sorry Steph fans) and Oracle gets her deserved and needed representation.
Everyone wins… apart from Steph fans, again sorry.
Now. Does anyone have Mr Gunn’s number? ;)
I am curious to see if Cass will be in this sequel since she was infamously left out of the original story. Same with Steph.
Hopefully Barbara will be in her wheelchair as Oracle although I bet she will be portrayed as Batgirl in this one as I suspect Cass was excluded from the original because they prefer Babs.
Also, it looks like Huntress might be making a comeback in this one, finally!
Is this supposed to be an Allstars by smash mouth shrek reference?
