Just wanted to say a big thank you to those that helped me with questions and planning our trip. You have an amazing country. We travelled all over the country on our own timeline, and loved every minute of it. The landscape is beautiful, the food is amazing, and above all every person we met was very warm and friendly. Dad/daughter trip was an immense success thanks to the people of Barbados!!
Looking to get a couples photoshoot in or near Bridgetown in early December. Hoping they will take us to a few cute spots/maybe a beach. Hoping to keep it under $300. Usually when we go on vacations we do airbnb experiences for a photographer but couldn’t find any in Barbados. Any recommendations? We are open to anyone, but would be happy to see a portfolio. The companies we were looking at were a little pricier than we were hoping for, so looking for a small business or one person photographer.
Thanks!
Anywhere on island that caters to vegan or vegetarian takeaway meals primarily?
Anyone having water issues in east St Philip (Mt Pleasant/Oughterson/Fortescue)? Nothing on the BWA page yet. Just wondering. :)
This trip could have been one of the shittiest experience of my life, for personal reasons. But you made it beautiful, colorful and amazing.
I'm forever grateful for this island and it's lovely bajans. Thank you for giving me so much in so little time.
You're gorgeous to see, to live and to love. Thank you always.
Hi all,
I'll be travelling solo to Barbados in February. Apparently there will be festivities in Holetown during my stay there.
I'm looking to rent Airbnb and avoid driving (I can! just think I can experience more in public transport).
I want something close to the day fun activities or safe enough to out until late evening (10/11pm)
I was thinking of oistins or the gap but I'm concerned about the noise at night.
I am a mama on a break, want to recoup my sleep too hahahah
Also do you guys have links to tours, taxi services and anything else please? I like to plan heheh
Any help?
Can anyone recommend a reliable taxi service? Preferably with a van for 6+ ppl. Will need transportation from airport to speightstown and then back to airport for the return later. Also, possible trips around town. TIA!
About 15 minutes post-sunset today, sharing pic for u/Parking_Alarm_9000

Was absolutely beautiful!
Your country is so beautiful and all the people I've encountered are so friendly and kind.
On my flight here I saw many rainbows, it was a feeling that what was to come would be amazing, and it has been.
I'm grateful of the universe to have had the opportunity to see your country with my own eyes and feel the white sand with my own feet.
I hope you're grateful to live here and appreciate all the beauty that surrounds you.
Have a good day, thank you 💖
Hey guys! I look at gaming cultures around the world and I am a racing game fan. I have asked all of these questions on different subreddits, simply because I am curious about how each and every single country on this planet experiences video games. I am also curious about gaming in Barbados. My questions are:
What is more popular? PC or console?
What was more popular in the late 90s and early 2000s? PC or Console?
What racing game was popular in the late 90s and early 2000s!
What do racing game fans in Barbados play today?-(I get it might not be the most popular genre, but for people who like it, what do they play?)
In general, what games are played there?
Thanks for your responses!!!!
Hello! I apologize in advance as I’m sure this has been covered before. My husband and I are flying in tomorrow evening. I see the weather forecast is mostly rain for the next week and a half.
We are so excited to visit Barbados, even if it’s rainy and not as sunny as we thought it might be when we booked. I know it’s rainy season, but this is the only time we could make it work to visit the island. I know there are many wonderful things to do if the weather doesn’t allow us to be at the beach often. We are planning on doing a rum tour, but haven’t planned too much more.
We are hoping to find of some fun and interesting rainy day activities.
We’re not afraid to be out in the rain. 😊
I would be so grateful for any advice. Thank you!
First time ordering directly from Amazon to Barbados, my question is do you pay all of the customs and import taxes at checkout? Or am I going to get a random email from a customs officer saying “yuh owe we $1000 pay or get fleeced” lol
Hello coming near end of November was wondering how the weather is this time of year especially with all the hurricanes happening?
Hi we are planning to visit for a few weeks in February. We are looking for a place where we can do some of our own cooking. Just an average place. Nothing fancy. Someone mentioned the Golden Sands. Would that be a good place? Cheers
Which hotel in Barbados would be best for a 7 nights stay in January please? We're in our 30s, no kids. My partner prefers AI but we're flexible, priorities are a beautiful swimmable beach, good property upkeep and a high standard of food. Considering Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels (I like the idea of visiting the sister hotels plus the food reviews are good), Mango Bay (for the beach!) or Sandals Royal. Would truly appreciate some insight!
I'm looking for local charcoal to purchase in Barbados. I saw the imported briquettes in Sol, Massy, CostULess but I'm after the locally produced charcoal. Any suggestions?
I’m visiting Barbados for six days in January. Looking for any suggestions - which is the best area to stay, what to do, foods to try. I’m not doing all inclusive and will be relying on buses and taxis to get around. Would love to meet locals, explore the culture and best views, have some nice food and drinks.
Hi, where can I buy a Barbie doll in a Crop Over costume online? I think I might have seen one at Duty Free one time.

I'm a 20 year old bajan looking for an entry level typing job. Typing is my strong suit, but I have never gotten a job before. So I went around searching on the internet, looking at job boards on different websites such as Totally Barbados, Remote OK etc. None of them had any positions I wanted. I've been persistently looking for a data entry position to no avail. Do you know where I cam start looking for jobs and be able to narrow down feasible ones?

Hello! We are headed to Barbados soon and an acquaintance mentioned Pilates near Limegrove Mall. Online searches have not turned up anything! Looking for studios on the west coast please. Thanks for any suggestions!
Note: I have checked out studios in the south.
Hi there, planning a first visit to the island for three. A bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices for where to stay. Can anyone help me narrow down a location? Don’t need to be beachfront, but would like to be able to walk to the beach. For reference, we went to St. Martin this year and stayed at Grace Bay, which was great for walking to the beach, shops and restaurants, but otherwise had a very residential feel. We would like to have a grocery store within 10-15 minute drive if possible, since we tend to shop for groceries on vacation and cook the first two meals and then eat out for dinner. Ideally calm waters that are easy for swimming. Thanks much!
When my wife was little her Bajan American family played a game with spoons sung to a song called “Six White Horses.” It also mentioned a lady called Charlotte Brown. Anyone here remember that?
Do I have to declare these on immigration form? The diazepam is prescription and the cocodomol is over the counter. Thank you x
Know this is really short notice.
Have some UK friends here that need a kind of Uber ride tomorrow from worthing blue orchid to round house.
Party of 4 three adults and one child.
Anyone know of or are up to doing the job?
I read a few years back that nationality law was going to change to allow citizenship to grandchildren. Any news on this after 5+ years?!
