Today we took the fast boat from nusa to bali sanur port and let me tell you we thought that the boat would capsize. The waters were rough and the boat was jumping the whole way and at one point a wave hit the boat so hard we all flew from our seats and water was leaking in. I’m saying this to warn people about the fast boats and not to take them if you know the weather is bad!
Hello,
What is the best dentist in Bali ? I would prefer a dentist who isn’t the owner of his own cabinet. Thanks.
I arrived and have the 30 day VoA.
When I look to extend it online, it blocks me from proceeding and shows I have to wait until 14 days before it expires.
When the time comes, will it be an automatic extension, so just confirmed instantly when I pay? Or does it need to be manually approved and will take some time from them?
Thanks in advance
Hi all, trying to subscribe to global extreme ans I’m wondering if private ip is a bad thing because the public ip is pretty expensive for me.
This is what the sales sent me:
Any Xtreme Lite user here? I asked Chatgpt what’s the difference, it says I won’t be able to access my cctv remotely and can’t use VPN if i use private ip. 🤷🏻♀️ I wonder if this is true.
I met someone at Finns Beach club about a month ago, but I was too drunk to remember anything about him aside his name and that he’s Dutch (I’m Aussie) despite spending the whole night together, I’m not sure if this would be the right group or even thing to do but I genuinely haven’t stopped thinking about him HAHA, should I leave it as a holiday memory or is there anything I should try to find him 😂
This is probably the cringiest thing I’ve ever done hahaha
Which site is good stay in ubud Bali
I've heard some travelers ran into hiccups and missed their boats due to differences between schedules shown online and actual departure times.
Where did you buy yours? Would you recommend it?
Planning 3 day trip , planning to rent a car . What rules followed there , I own Australian driving licence . How much is rent for small car ?
I went to Bali few times a long time ago, probably around 2013-2016. I was there twice and only stayed for a bit but I enjoyed my time there.
I was wondering if anyone who had recently visited Bali but have been to Bali around 2013-2016 could do a quick overview regarding the area now? I’m sure for the most part it’s still the same, but what’s new and what’s the reason why you don’t want to come back?
All insights are welcome, good or bad. Just wanted to get a raw no sugar coated update around this small island I visited awhile back :)
I'm currently in Lembongan, and i asked in a small supermarket which incense the locals get. He showed me a bunch, but they were all huge packs, size of my fist lol and im looking for something small. They were cheap to, around 45K. I ended up just buying a small sandalwood pack, but its an indian brand and peob not what they use here.
Tomorrow i go to Sanur, do you know any store that might sell them and not be overpriced?
Hello, recently in Moyo island some in our group hikes to a waterfall. One person is in a wheelchair, and went on the back of a scooter (a couple of km) and walked the final 30 or so meters.
Is there anywhere like this in Bali? Thanks!
Ok guys, just trying to get some support here. Last night at 1am woke up from a sleep feeling nauseous, and the rest is history. ATM the vomit has subsided but still feel nauseous but my toilet runs are viscous. I’ve never came across something so violent in the toilet At the moment I have 0 energy and no appetite, just chugging water. So my question, how long did it take for my fellow redditors to heal from this? Going on 16hrs atm. Also what did you guys eat/take to relieve symptoms. My stomach feels like it’s on fire atm also.
Where can i find birth control pill in the Ubud area? And what is the name or what should i say when ordering it?
All the help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Hey gang,
I love Nyepi, been there three times, but it's always in a holed up Airbnb (because I want the peace and quiet)
Next year I'll be bringing the missus with me, so I'm thinking of bringing her someplace fancy. I have questions:
I know you're not supposed to go "out" but where's the line? If the hotel has a garden or a swimming pool, can I still go? Are rooftops okay?
If it's a beachfront property, can I go to the beach? (This is a particular interest of hers)
Is it safe to turn on the light if our room is facing the garden or pool (basically not facing outwards where the pecalangs are)?
Is there anything we need to know to not be disrespectful of their beliefs? (e.g. minimizing PDAs during Nyepi)
I've seen some Nyepi-special hotel packages advertised nearing the Nyepi period, if you've taken one, was it worth it? Would you say it's worth the extra cost? (I'm guessing it costs extra, because they provide lunch and dinner and maybe even some entertainment, I've seen some advertising a movie night?)
Do you reckon it will be easier or harder to book for Nyepi? (Keep in mind Nyepi will be 2 days before Eid next year)
Has anyone done Nyepi in Nusa Penida/Lembongan? Was it "too creepy"?
Cheers!
Currently backpacking se asia and gonna be in and around bali for nye - my research tells me that there are loads of beach clubs parties like atlas that are sold out already. That doesn’t really bother me to much just looking for a house event or something smaller. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Which beach, beachclub, cliff, spot or whatever has the biggest best boom booms. Never mind the party I'm just in it for the boom.
I am planning to visit Bali (I am from Europe) for a duration of 6 months and I want to bring my PC with me. I don't know what the best solution is for it.
Preferably I would want to ship my PC over air freight to Bali, since I would want to keep my PC case and I also want to send my monitor.
I was planning to do it with DHL, but I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with it? Would I also need to pay import taxes or something if I send it with DHL to myself or a friend in Bali?
Going to Bali in a few days, and for peace of mind I want to know whether its worth spending the extra for Travelan or if the alternative is just as good as its significantly cheaper lol.
Thanks!
Hi, I am in Bali now and was sick on Saturday night. I had diarrhoea for a few hours and threw up around 10 times but was fine after 4-6 hours, was just exhausted and had no appetite all day and have little appetite now. I assumed this was Bali belly but the posts I’ve seen make it seem like Bali belly knocks you around for days? Me and my boyfriend had the exact same symptoms and the only thing we both had that the rest of the group didn’t was a ham and cheese toastie so maybe food poisoning?
I’m not planning on using it until I get to my accom but is there any way to take it with me. Flying on Jetstar btw. Or can I buy one in canngu
hey guys i’ve been in bali for the last 13 days and keep having these weird experiences where gojek and grab riders will scream phrases at me such as ‘mr condom’ or ‘small dick’ while im walking on the street with my girlfriend. it is definitely directed towards me because my white mate thought he was talking to him and the driver on the street said ‘no im talking to him.’ im an australian and have lived there all my life but my parents are indian so im obviously indian looking. my girlfriend is a white australian. just wondering if there is any anti indian sentiment here or anything.
Planning to stay here for 4 nights, so need recommendations. And one recommendation for NYE.
What schools/preschools could you recommend in Bukit (Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua) and Sanur? Based on real practice.
Hello
I’m after suggestions for a ghost/haunted tour anywhere in Bali. The only one I can find online is the abandoned theme park which isn’t haunted just decayed.
I’m travelling solo for 10 days mid December to Bali and intend to stay in Ubud for 5 nights. I want to do the cooking class, jewellery making, visit art galleries, have some meditation/sound bath experiences, watch local performing arts. I’m not hugely into drinking anymore so I’m trying to explore other experiences out of which food would be one. What would your best recommendations for street food/5stars and which dish would you recommend? I am a non vegetarian and I love trying out new things.
We have a group of 6 guys going to Bali for 5 nights. Most of us are getting tattooed for several of those days and looking for housing recommendations.
One tattoo studio is east of Kuta beach and one is east of seminyak beach.
Where would the best spot to stay for 6 guys. Probably an Airbnb but hotel might work. Some nightlife, bars, and good food is ideal. We won’t be going into the water due to fresh tattoos so beach isn’t very important but nice to visit.
Thoughts on locations.
My friends and I are planning to visit Bali the upcoming weekend (from 6 to 8 December). We are planning to stay in Seminyak/Ubud. Will be mainly going to beach clubs and night clubs (Mexicola, Cretya, Savaya, Cafe Del Mar).
Is the upcoming weekend a good time to visit Bali? Our concern is that the weather websites show rain/thunderstorm. The last thing we want is our short trip to be messed up because of the weather. Folks currently in Bali, please help!
