Any suggestions/recommendations on servo horns and servos? I've gone thru 2 servos and 4 servo horns. The blown servos make sense cuz I'll use a stronger servo but I've tried a variety of horns and no luck so far. I know it's a "rock bouncer" ,whatever that means, but I'm not doing half the stupid things I do with my buggies! Appreciate any tips!
I see posts of people wrecking their car on the first day and I thought that wouldn't happen to me. Guess I was wrong. First rc car on the first run. Broke the front diff housing, bent the axle, steering linkage and lower control arm eyelet.
My brother has the Honcho for two years now and without fail he keeps bugging me to just get one every time theres a sale. But I really like the Jeep version.
Just curious why they never go on sale, always over $1000?
Iām thinking of using a wraith cage on a drift chassis (Iāve seen others do it), but I can only find aftermarket metal versions.
Snagged these axles off a buddies throwaway rig. He couldnāt tell me anything about them. Everything else on the rig looked like an Axial 10.2.
I need to find a four link truss and a new knuckle, since this oneās cracked.
Any ideas?
I'm looking for options for axles. I upgraded to a brushless motor and that immediately grenaded my axles (to be fair, they were 11ish years old and well used/abused). I decided to try some inexpensive portals and they failed over this summer. It was my first branch into cheap china because I was curious about the quality. Now, I want to fix it properly and get a forever set. This is well used in all environments and weather: indoor, outdoor, dry, wet, mud, snow, ice, sand, etc. I do prefer the scx10 ii setup. I like the 4 links instead of the Y link. I have spare parts from other builds so I can piece together what ever. What has held up well to your abuse?
For context, I wanted an RC car that I could tie a toy to for my cat to chase around the apartment, but also small enough that it wouldnāt hurt him and able to handle carpet. The SCX24 at the store checked all the boxes, but Iām pretty sure I misunderstood the use case for these things because it is SLOW. I donāt care much about the offroading aspect (as cool as it is seeing these things go over steep boulders and other weird terrain), I just want more speed. Previous threads covered this but from a hobbyist perspective, so thereās a lot of terminology Iām unfamiliar with and I donāt want to accidentally buy something just to find out I need to buy another thing, or I get the new part and find out itās incompatible with my setup. Is it possible to āun-crawlerā my SCX24? If so, what should I buy for it?
Looking to buy my first 1/10 scale. Looking at the redcat ascent (the blue one pinched one) or a Basecamp. Basecamp seems to perform a bit better out of the box but it seems like axial will outperform once I inevitably start doing the upgrades. I won't be buying a builders kit as I would like to play with it at each stage over the next passing of time. Thoughts?
Jconcepts Tusks are incredible- highly recommend
Still waiting for my axial cj7 and my quicrun fusion pro but alot of stuff online says that the fusion pro (2300kv) won't fit in the cj7 but the quicrun fusion se (1800kv) will. has anyone had any issues installing the quicrun fusion pro if so what did you have to do to get it to fit. Just wondering if I have to return the fusion pro
I was wondering if there is a drawing or any dimensions at all of the AR45P differential cover. Thank you.
Greetings,
Today was the second run of my newly built scx10iii kit. It went pretty well however i noticed that when i steer fully there is some kind of rubbing between the rim and the portal housing. Having said that i found no noticable scratches on the plastics and when i remove the wheels and run and steer, there is no problem whatsoever. Unfortunately there is no space to use a washer between the axle and the hex hub so i am currently using just 80% of steering. Any ideas on a fix?
I want to build a trail honcho 1/6 but i don't know where to find all the parts can someone send me a website or something so it's easier to scout the parts
This is more specific for larger collections. I got into RCs, so naturally, so did my kids. We now have 20+ rigs of varying size, make, model, and purpose. Tow trucks to crawlers to drift cars to scale to shelf princesses (my wife enjoys the cosmetic details). I don't want to just throw them in a bin and I don't want to have them laying next to the rig because we do display some in the living room. How do you organize your collection? I can build, print, or buy. I'm just looking for ideas.
Im super new to rcs and crawling just bought a scx10.3 cj7 and wanted to get a hw fusion pro 2n1 2300kv esc/ motor. Is the motor any good for crawling and since it has a esc in it i can assume i dont need like a hw 1080 external esc? and other question I have is will my stock esc/reciver work as just a reciver so I can still use my stock transmitter or do I have to get a new reciver and transmitter sorry if this sounds stupid I don't really know anything and want to make sure that I buy the right thing. If I need a new transmitter and reciver is the spectrum rugged any good?
