Quade Cooper Goat?

Even Quade haters have to agree that Quade is a once in a generation talent. He pulls game winning plays out of no where. He does make mistakes because he plays a high risk high reward game style. But I think he was misunderstood and mismanaged by coaches and rugby Australia. 2011 Reds win super rugby title with Ewen McKenzie, another person with high potential not given a decent chance but we’ll talk about that another time. As soon as a new coach comes in a couple years later the reds are at the bottom of the table. They completely changed the the reds played. I think Quade could have been one of the greatest ever flyhalfs if he was allowed to flourish. The added pressure from coaches and media in international rugby forced him to play a safer style which isnt his strong suit. If he was allowed to play to his strengths but with some guidance he could have been great. I think we have seen that in his recent tests. He has come with some more maturity but also the same game changing flare that he has always had. Thats why I always think of Quade as the goat that could have been.

How well would a powerful shooter in Soccer do at Penalty Kicks?

As a long time soccer player who's been kicking a ball since I was 4 and I am currently playing for a local no-name team, I am very curious about this. Would someone with powerful long-range shooting like Andrea Pirlo do well in Penalty Kicks? How transferable is long anger kicking power from soccer to rugby?

Is it too late to register for club rugby?

Hey I was hoping to register to play for a local club, I haven't played since high school and I am keen to get back into it.

I looked online and see registration is open but they are half way through the pre season, is it too late to get into it now?

Rugby Australia CEO Raelene Castle Opens Up on History of Violence Against Women

As the first female CEO of an Australian rugby league team, Raelene Castle is no stranger to the issues of discrimination and violence against women.

In an interview with the Breakthrough Co, Castle describes a vile act she once perpetrated at a young age.

In the hour-long interview, Castle laughs as she looks back on an attack she carried out on a young girl, where she hit her victim so hard that a single punch caused a bone in Castle's hand to break.

According to Castle's brother, Ryan Castle, the incident was not the only act of violence Castle had been involved in. At this stage it remains unclear as to whether any other acts of violence Castle perpetrated involved violent attacks on women or girls.

The interview continues with Castle acknowledging her own injuries from the violent incident, but showing little remorse for the consequences of her act of violence on her victim. At one stage Castle laughs about how recently she had been telling the story while drinking with friends.

With Castle's high profile role in the community and media, the shocking admissions and lack of remorse come as a devastating blow to the credibility of Rugby Australia and its partner organisation Our Watch, a national not-for-profit that works to prevent violence against women and children.

The admissions come toward the end of a tumultuous year for Rugby Australia under Castle, whose organisation has been at the center of a number of scandals, including the termination of an employee who quoted the Bible on social media, and a program of enforced segregation targeting many vulnerable girls and boys.

The latter involved the 2019 'Size for Age' guidelines stipulating a maximum weight requirement for children to be able to remain in their age team. Girls aged 9 who are over 158 cm must weigh less than 60 kilograms to avoid being removed from their age team. The policies have raised concerns from the community about the message this sends to young people, especially at a time when Anorexia, Bulemia and Eating Disorders are major public health issues.

Despite a checkered past, Castle offers some positive advice for 14 year olds: "just be nice to people"
