This is also a place to discuss production techniques and ask questions on how to create audio drama. If you produce an audio drama, promote it here.
The goal of this subreddit is offer as much news and information about audio drama. The more posts, the better. Audio drama producers are encouraged to make a new post for each episode they release.
When submitting a post about an audio drama, include a descriptive headline that includes its title. Do not link directly to MP3 files, but rather to a website where the audio drama can be accessed.
You can assign text flair to your user name. On the sidebar, there's a check box marked "Show my flair on this subreddit." Check that and then click the (edit)
link to enter in your custom text. This is probably most useful for readers who want to list their own audio drama titles or website URL next to their names.
Link flair is also available. Once you submit a new link or text post, click the flair
link under the title. There are six categories to choose from:
Clicking the flairs above will take you to a search showing only posts tagged with that individual flair. For more search filtering options, refer to this post.
Any post with potential story spoilers should be marked with the Spoiler tag, which is available under the post's headline once it is published.

It was supposed to be the best trip of our lives, a monumental bucket list item, but if I lie here, battered and broken, who is climbing up there with my best friend?
This episode presents the diary of a mountaineer's last climb.
Haunted Tales is a weekly original horror fiction podcast produced by Robert and Melissa K and part of the Podmoth Media Network. Dive into a new chilling tale with us every Sunday! Available wherever you listen to podcasts, as well as HERE.
Sample Clip:
I like horror podcasts (The Magnus Archives, The White Vault, Welcome to Nightvale, and Liberty so far), but I'm noticing that female voices are either in the minority or in the case of WtNV practically nonexistent. Are there any horror podcasts, especially anthologies, read mainly by women?
As the title says. Looking for a monster hunting drama with a kinda bloodborne vibe. I am OBSESSED with bloodborne lore and would like a similar drama.
If you’re a nerd about AI or if you think you’d be into a superhero noir audio drama, I’ve got some good news for you. I’m doing an experiment. I used AI to write a script for a podcast, and then I used AI to generate the voiceover for that podcast. And then I used AI to make the cover art.
While this technology still has a LONG way to go, I’m impressed by what I was able to accomplish with only a few tools. If you’d like to support this experiment further, please give it a listen and share it with your friends. Thank you!

Edited to clean up the URL.
I’m building an interactive website for my upcoming audio drama, Thread/Lost, and would love some advice. The idea is to design it like an old-school forum with cryptic posts, hidden messages, and glitch effects, mimicking what the characters discover in the story.
Here’s what I’m thinking:
Puzzles & Hidden Pages: Unlock deeper lore or audio logs through passcodes or clues.
Easter Eggs: 404 pages or hidden threads with secret content.
Optional Experience: The website enhances the narrative but isn’t required to follow or enjoy the podcast.
What I’d love input on:
How do I keep it engaging but not overwhelming?
Any puzzle ideas that fit the eerie tone?
What tools or approaches would work best for this?

I'm looking for inspiration for my next dnd character whose supposed to have that noir detective vibe. I could really use some good recommendations some of the one I've looked up didn't sound right.
For the mystery/supernatural lovers like myself, this awesome show completely slipped my radar.
Group is sent (in a submarine) onto an expedition into a newly-discovered Antarctic trench, dubbed The Bottomless Pit.
Just binged this show at work. It's about 6 hours in total. Time flew by. I highly recommend it.
It's a Definetly Human production with full cast/sound design.
Also just caught up with Trap Street, great show aswell. Shoutout to them for those who don't know it. An unemployed gamer has received a mysterious email with two attachments. What this young man does next will determine the fate of the entire human race.
I'm always looking for more mystery shows with paranormal / supernatural aspects, as long as it's good. So if anyone has more hidden gems i'm all ears! As long as it doesn't contain "human villains" I have alot time to listen at work.
Meet Abram, a simple shepherd caught in a fishing net!

The Heresies of Radulf Burntwine is the best damn audiodrama I've listened to in a long time. It's currently tied with The Silt Verses as my favorite audiodrama. An impressive feat considering only 10 full episodes and as many extra mini-sodes have been released at the time of writing this. I don't usually write posts just to express how much I like something but I'm going to do it in this case because while this show is amazingly successful, especially considering how new it is, I don't see it talked about all that much in this sub. I'll give a very brief summary of the plot and list some of the strongest points here, but seriously, don't even read the post. Just go listen to the first episode and I can almost guarantee you will be hooked.
Our protagonist is an aging ex-monk turned natural philosopher and doctor, after being branded a heretic because of his papers and theories. He now travels the world of Olem doing field research -mainly on viral infections, biotics, diseases etc etc - and treating people. The world is a medieval low-fantasy one, so you have gods and imaginary cultures and some other fantasy tropes but not dragons or spells. It's almost entirely comprised of recordings ( via some kind of proto-recording device) made by Radulf, describing his findings, theories and adventures.
Each episode focuses on one medical case, usually some kind of infection that has taken place in the village/city he finds himself. Oh and the infections? They are not from your usual virus, far from it. In the world of Olem most infections come from the plague lords, beings somewhere in between forces of nature and gods, so they are usually pretty unique and interesting. That in and of itself is pretty interesting but what elevates this show above anything else I've listened to, is Radulf himself. Whether he is drunkenly ranting about how absurd he finds the notion of ghost, gleefully describing the history of the world or the linguistic curiosities employed in some exotic city or wallowing in self pity because of his past mistakes or his inability to save more people, listening to him is exceptionally engrossing. I can learn a lot about Radulf as a person by listening to him talk about pig farming and the industrial revolution and I consider that to be a true testament to the creator's writing ability. The voice acting is also superb and impressive, especially considering that the creator is much younger than the character they portray.
There is an overarching plot that is fairly obvious from the get go. It's actually fairly central to most episodes without detracting from the horrible-terrifying-comsic horror-y-infection-of-the-week structure. We also usually get 1-2 mini-sodes after each regular one, usually in the form of addenda to the previous case, lectures about the world of Olem (these are mainly on patreon) or just stories from our protagonist's past.
Seriously go give it a listen, you won't regret it.
TL:DR -- THORB is an amazing and heartfelt medieval medical mystery, boasting exceptional worldbuilding, believable characterisation and amazing voice acting. 10/10 definitely recommended
Edit : I'm just a fan making an appreciation post, I am not affiliated with the creator(s) in any way. I just want to get the word about an amazing show out.

[Note: I hope it's okay to share our podcast here. I've been lurking and enjoying the recommendations from this community for a while!]
I’ve sifted through variations on this question, haven’t quite found what I’m looking for yet. I want magical and mysterious, doesn’t have to be high fantasy but not entirely opposed to it.
Less inclined towards sci fi at the moment. But I’m flexible. Spooky and can be scary but not super duper horror. Darker themes, I’m not looking for comedic. Can be historical, present day, made up places.
Multiple characters, not a single narrator, with immersive sound production. Preference for a woman main character but open to anything that fits the criteria above.
Ones I’ve enjoyed sorta in this vein: Unwell, Ghost Honey’s Dream Machine, Mockery Manor, Red Valley, Bridgewater.
Thanks!
Hey, all! New to reddit.
I thought I'd go ahead and post a link to my audio play/dramatic reading I put together for an excerpt from Theodore Roosevelt's "The Wilderness Hunter" in which he recounts a chilling story told to him by a weathered frontiersmen. I have more in the works down the pipeline so, thoughts are most welcome!

I’ve wanted to listen to these for years. But it’s getting harder to find physical copies and I on,y buy digital as a last resort(such as if no physical release was produced). Claudia Christian voices the title character. She’s best known as Ivanova on Babylon Five. When I was in high school, I met her at a convention, and she was the nicest, sweetest and funniest Star I ever met. I can’t wait to listen to these. This is the first four volumes in the series. I don’t recall how many after are available on CD. I know the most recent is digital only which will bum me out.
Oh lastly, these are by Radio Repertory Company of America.
Am working on a short piece (maybe five minutes) that is a scene from an audio drama. It's for a college class, but I would love to eventually turn this into a larger project. I had my actors record their lines individually - they all had pretty solid equipment, and things sound good. What are some basic things I should know about Audio Engineering for something like this? Previously, I had a podcast, which I handled the audio editing for - but that's really much simpler than this, yes?
Are there simple ways to make this sound like all the audio is coming from a conversation several people are having in the same room? Doesn't need to be great, just... to give that vibe.
The scene is an interrogation, with two government agents interviewing a civilian in a back room that's not really *officially* an interrogation room. It wouldn't be a particularly large room. I know this is horribly specific but uh, any tips?
We just posted another episode of our comedy podcast series "Yellowbelly", a spoof on the TV show Yellowstone (which is returning for its final episodes mid-November). Check it out, along with the previous Yellowbelly episodes and all of our other comedy parodies, at https://www.spoofpodcast.com/
Would love to hear some feedback as well!
