As I parked on seaside Ave today beach block and wonderful shaggy man rode past me. In his arms was a magnificent dark duck. They both looked content and amazing like have done this route on a regular basis. Does north AC have a duck man and if so what stories exist?? Thank you.
So I'm going to a concert at 9pm figuring I'll be done around midnight, what's the best website or in person place to grab a room to crash?
What casinos have this?
Preferably at or near Ocean resort.
Any non-casino bars, etc in AC serve beers for $3 or less? Best I've found recently was $3.50.
Hi, I'm visiting Atlantic city for the first time with family to see a concert next weekend (12th oct) and wanted to know if there are any EDM events/ clubs/after hours places to check out that's a good vibe. I'm open to almost any genre from house to hardstyle to debstep to techno. Any advice or tips are also welcomed 💯🐎❄️🍃☺️🫶
I am in Atlantic City with my 17 year old son this weekend. We’d love to find a place to watch all the college football games this weekend. I booked a table at the MGM sports book but have been told he cant go since he’s not 21. Anyone have any other recommendations on place that has lots of TVs to watch all the games this weekend? Thanks in advance!
Taking a trip here with my girlfriend in November and looking for the best steak. She really wants to try Gordon Ramsay Steak but I’ve heard mixed reviews about the quality for the price. We’ve done Ruth’s Chris so l wanted to try something different. Price doesn’t really matter, so long as she’s getting a great meal for her birthday. TIA!!
I have stayed at Ballys countless times over the years, from family vacations to milestone birthdays, it was always my go-to. Unfortunately the way my family and I were treated on our recent visit was so cold, uncaring and unforgivable, that it ruined 30 years of memories and I'll never stay there again.
My dad has kidney disease and with dialysis treatments it’s hard for him to travel, but he pushed himself to make this trip (his first time traveling in more than five years).
Ballys had offered him 2 nights complimentary, and I had booked a second room for those same nights so that the rest of the family could join so that it would be like old times. We made both reservations on one phone call. I typically book online, but my 75-year-old mom prefers to book by phone, so I took one for the team. We spent 28 minutes on this phone call (according to my mom's phone call log) and we booked both rooms with the same representative, ensuring that our rooms would be close together. They could not guarantee adjoining rooms, but said they'd get us close together on the same floor. We requested the Bally's Tower, which I had asked for specifically based on research I'd done before the call.
Fast forward to our trip, after a six-hour drive when I am told that while my parents' room is in the Bally's Tower, mine would be in the Dennis Tower. I explained the booking process and my 28 minute phone call and the woman was unnecessarily rude (but I didn't think anything of it at this point, people are allowed to have bad days). She ultimately told me they could do a "call pull" where they would listen to our booking call to see if I was telling the truth (a little weird that as a loyal customer I wouldn't be believed, but regardless, my mom and I were confident with what they would hear). They told me they'd call me when they had an answer, but after not hearing back, I returned to the front desk a couple hours later where I was told they listened to the call and that it "did not come back in my favor."
It was clear to me and my mom that they had either not listened to the phone call, or were lying about what they heard, since we had spent a whopping 28 minutes making and confirming the two reservations on the same phone call. After getting nowhere with the front desk staff and management, and feeling incredibly hurt, dejected, and embarrassed, like they thought I was lying, they offered me a room in the same tower but on a different floor. They told me it should be $100 more for that room, so I should be happy. I don’t care about the money. If I had been quoted $100 more during the 28-minute phone call when I made the reservations I would have gladly paid it to ensure a room on the same floor. It was about being close to my family, namely my dad who becomes winded when crossing a room.
Unfortunately, after being treated so poorly and made to feel so small, the first day of a two-day trip (the only amount of time my dad could get away with his dialysis schedule) was ruined. As was three decades of memories at Ballys. So anyway, if you're visiting AC, the Hard Rock was super nice. And I also enjoyed Resorts.
Heading to Atlantic City for Columbus Day weekend next week, and am wondering if any of the casinos have stadium craps where players bet at the terminal, and take turns rolling on a half table. I have heard that the Borgata does, but that information is over a year old, also wondering if any casinos on the boardwalk have it.
I found a passel of opossums in AC tonight. Are there any resources to contact that would relocate them? I can’t see them being safe where they are for long.
Anybody know of any cool outdoor watch parties for the Phillies game this weekend?
I'll be visiting Atlantic City for 4 days over this upcoming weekend Landing in and taking off out of Philadelphia. What's the best way to get to and from Atlantic City from the Philadelphia airport?
i live in central NJ and used to be able to take the academy to AC... no more academy. is there any other way i can get there besides driving??
Haven't been to AC in over 10 years. Planning to do a trip
I'll be visiting Atlantic City with someone who uses a power wheelchair. We want to stay at a casino with a good sportsbook to watch college hoops. Any good thoughts on the best sportsbook to be able to sit together and see screens? For what it's worth, we'll be there on a slow night (a Tuesday in December), we'll be particularly interested in one game, and I don't know if the game will be featured on a main screen, so being able to potentially set up the chair in a spot to see any screen would help. Thanks very much!
The bus is fine and I was thinking of switching it up with the train. Maybe stopping in PA for lunch or whatnot.
If there were a more luxury way of getting there I'd be very interested.
Am considering Helicopter but it seems like overkill.
Opinions? Suggestions? All appreciated.
I'm a sucker for soaking tubs in hotel rooms, but they never really give you good photos of each rooms bathrooms in their galleries. Last time I went I stayed at the Harris in one of their suites and while the bathroom was gorgeous the furniture was scuffed to heck and there were dings on the wall trims and closet. Normally I don't care about such things, but at $400 a night I feel they could've even just given the tables a paint job😅. That was also a special trip with my mom, I don't aim to spend that much often.
Are there any places you'd recommend that have tubs outside of the traditional walled shower/tub combos?
I received today an offer for a cruise. It says I have to "claim my cruise offer" at Ballys this weekend? Is this legit?
It says "Congratulations, As a loyal Bally Rewards member, we want to award a cruise for you and a guest" and offering a free interior stateroom at NCL
I normally don't play much at Ballys. Can someone confirm this is real or not?
Just 2 people. Open to anything really.
I have a free stay from my rewards programs at the Caesers hotels. Which one do you guys recommend staying at from the following; Tropicana Caesers Harrahs
Hello, my wife and I are visiting the area and was wondering which hotels and area might offer the safest environment and most attractions? Would like to swim and enjoy some shopping, a bakery, ice cream, and some really good food.
We might gamble a little bit but that's not the focus of the trip. We are heading down from Canada with a stop over in Philly.
Any tips would be appreciated. Can be anywhere or anything worth seeing withing an hours drive, even if its just to snap some photos.
Any "must see's"? Areas to avoid?
Thanks!
Is there an moderately-priced place I can get my hair cut around here? Everything is so expensive. I used to live in Seaside Heights and found a great little barbershop in Toms River that had $15 haircuts, and the guy did a great job too. I'd love to find another place like that...
Someone put me on where can I get some good spicy margaritas in AC?
decided to take a quick trip before the rainy weekend, bought in for $150 before a night of drinking and 3 hours later cashed out 💰
ps please don't crucrucify me for vaping, got hooked after quitting cigarettes 🤦♂️
I see the tags all over the city. In the back hallways of casinos, on the streets, everywhere I go. I have always wondered.
Was disappointed to learn during my last trip to Borgata that cigar smoking is no longer allowed within 15 feet of smoking tables. Does anyone know if other casinos have implemented the same rule? Ocean? Hard Rock?
Also: Do any other casinos still allow smoking in certain bars? (RIP B-Bar!)
Thanks in advance for the insight!
