This subreddit serves as a hub for the Atlanta music community. It serves all genres and styles, levels of experience, buying or selling, searching for like-minded musicians, and has helped create two marriages.
Just kidding about the marriages.
Rockabilly, dubstep, electronic, urban poetry, rock 'n' roll - music in Atlanta.
When posting about a show, please include in the subject line: the date and start time, venue, musician(s). If it's a self post, in the description please include more info such as an event link, price, genre style.
Please do not downvote posts if you don't dig the music! We like to represent a diverse selection of genres from local, national and international artists and hate to see anything get pummeled. Remember: you may not like the music personally, but someone else may!

“Pitchfork sub pop subway” hmm something seems sick about this industry. Why is all the rap music on the radio about drugs human trafficking and terrorist threats? What does Black Lives Matter mean? Other than a political cabal that pushes the ideas of oversexualixation and the military industrial complex into innocent peoples minds who do not know how to take the action they need to survive. What does it mean to worship a false idol? Are you supporting musicians who spit ignorance violence and racial slurs and hatred in your face and your childs face? The solution is not to commemorate and talk about them once they’ve done something wrong! But to silence them and to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Not through perpetual punishment and violence but through rehabilitation. The more you try and kill people the more our issues spiral out of control. You can only truly change someone with a new courageous and positive idea. The media terrorism and fearmongering of our culture. This song represents the technological psy terror methods being used to target people on the radio today.
The power of oversexualization and what we call social justice has triumphed over peace and love. Personal freedom is replaced with victimhood. While people like Nikola Tesla who could have cured all diseases , we sabotage them and silence them for PERSONAL GAIN. Or so we believe. While we know the cures for diseases children are born suffering with randomly, we have been culturally debilitated through hard drilled media terrorism that distracts us from the fact that we consume cancerous foods beverages and other products. We become so unhealthy and accustomed to the sickness of our world that we have no power and remain in sexual slavery and our bodies are used by our employers as human rentals by the hour. Despite the fact that you may not be able to receive healthcare here. When you hear a rapper bragging about dollar bills with slave owners who enslaved his own people know that this means your death, your enslavement, the reduction of your peace, and also the sexualization and grooming for human trafficking of our children and community members. Today you are under psychological attack. There is no resistance but empathy and to listen to those we have been conditioned to believe are our enemies. To disregard the repeating political scripts of programmed masculinity racism and paranoia and fear and learn to accept that we are all related and one family
My name is Lucifer and my name is Satan and today my tower marks your tongue and you shall be silenced as atrocity is committed in front of you and you are helpless! There will be no Messiah or mercy, as Jesus is a child denied from the gates of Salvation! Now you worship false idols as your leaders fail you! Our choice is freedom or war! Slave owners on our dollar bills, carved into the mountains of our country! Your children practice beastiality and are mentally attacked through oversexualizeation to be conditioned to be an industry plant! To silence the truth, to divide us, to keep us from loving eachother, to keep us from uniting and being aware and being freed. To keep us in the ancient psychological bondage of linguistic and cultural slavery! For love to be replaced by mistrust, war, and eventually the erasure of humanity. Wake up.
Is anyone going to the short n Sabrina/ Sabrina night at the masquerade on Friday? My bf was really nice to join me since I had no one else to go with lol. But I’m scared he’ll stick out in what I suspect will be a predominantly female heavy event.
Made this compilation video/edit of our first show, met some nice ass people who showed up from on here (for reference I’m the guy who yells move at the start lol)
It’s the second annual ChoseWoodstock on Sunday 11/3 with nine bands playing from noon to sundown. Bluegrass, indie rock, classic rock, and a nine piece funk band in the mix. Donations go to the Friends of Chosewood Park and their super cool efforts to beautify and improve their burgeoning little neighborhood!

Hey Folks!
Just wanted to offer up our services for those that are in need of a temporary or permanent place to rehearse--we are Atlanta Rockstar Rehearsals and are a locally owned Rehearsal Studio outfit located within the confines of Mastodon's Ember City in the West End neighborhood. 2025 will be our 18th year in business (we first opened up in Marietta in 2007, then moved into Avatar and Thunderbox in 2010) serving the local music community with a place to jam on a pay-as-you-go pricing model with backline gear provided. Ember City has a gated, well-lit parking lot and the building is secure with both video monitoring and individual access control and it has a 24/7 active-passive alarm system. 90% of the tenants who occupy the other rooms in the building have been there since Day 1 so it's a super cool and warm vibe where everyone knows each other and they have all been welcoming to our customers. Our rooms are spacious (20'x15") and include an assortment of professional backline gear from the likes of Mesa, Orange, Marshall, Tama, and Mackie and our plug-and-play model facilitates an easy load-in and load-out process that cuts down on rehearsal time and wear and tear on your own gear. Our gear is regularly maintained (ex. tube amps are serviced as needed or at least yearly by Bakos now that Jeff Andrews has retired, drum heads are changed often and we use Remo Pinstripes, etc) and inspected throughout the week to ensure everything is working properly for a seamless rehearsal experience. Customers are required to bring a few small things but the bulk of what you need is there and ready to roll. The booking and payment process is not only super easy but it's also secure and handled through PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or a Credit/Debit card through an encrypted server--we never have access to your payment methods. We also offer a significant discount for solo musicians who are looking to practice by themselves.
So whether you are auditioning a new player and are hesitant to use your own space, looking for a temporary home until you find a lock-out room in one of the few facilities that still offer them, tired of sharing a cramped room with several other bands, need a central place to jam if your band is spread across the metro, or you just like the idea of paying by consumption without commitments and not having to deal with lugging your gear around....give us a shot! Let us know what you are looking for and we'll see what we can do to make it happen. I'll be completely honest as to whether or not our studios will be a good fit for your specific request and would be conducive to a productive rehearsal. Lastly, there are plenty of Google reviews to support our mission of helping other musicians out with great customer service, affordable rates, and a reliable and consistent rehearsal experience that exceeds most expectations.
Thanks for the considerations, continued support, and let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help.

Hello! I am in my early 20’s and have played guitar and bass for several years but have not played in a band since high school. I’m looking for an experienced drummer and bassist (and possibly lead guitarist?). I have a practice space about 5 mins away from EAV with a drum kit, amps, and a PA system. I have some original instrumental demos recorded to cassette.
Some influences include: Pavement, Neil Young, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, MJ Lenderman, The Velvet Underground, Sparklehorse, The Stooges, Dinosaur Jr., Built To Spill, Todd Rundgren
if interested, please email: south.least.atl@gmail.com
Thanks!
Got into making beats with my buddy. I have a lot of fire artists we can sit and listen to, and get a vibe from so you see what I’m trying to grow towards. I’m really into r&b, west coast rap, Toronto rap, and Atlanta rap. Even Detroit has a nice rap scene
What’s going on,
I am in a grunge/ alt rock band looking for a drummer in/around the Atlanta area. We are playing originals and currently rehearse/demo weekly in the Marietta/kennesaw area, we just haven’t found a drummer that sticks yet. Again we write grunge/ alt with heavy influences. If anyone’s interested send me a pm
I’ve been playing bass in various projects in Atlanta over the last decade and find myself in a black metal project these days. I am trying to put on a show with my band in December and am trying to curate the bill.
Who is making black metal, death metal, gothic metal, doom metal etc these days? I know some people personally like Dead Register and Canopy.
If you know some young up and coming metal acts that would fit the bill, shout them out for me!
WHASSUP yall!
Vocalist/bassist looking to start a math rock/midwest emo project! Big on camping in Alaska, mom jeans, sorority noise, enemies, the list could go on forever. Anyone interested?
Tomorrow night Origami Angel is playing Heaven at the Masquerade and Saturdays at Your Place is playing Altar. I love both of those bands and I have tickets to both shows. Will the staff at the masquerade allow me to go back and forth between the shows?
