I bought this laptop in 2023 and although I love it I find it kind of difficult to carry around a charger all the time, since this thing can only last a half hour. I'm wondering if I can get this replaced?
I have been thinking of buying this Q425MA-U71TB model of ASUS Zenbook 14' OLED.
Does anyone has any feedback on whether they had any issues related to wifi, battery life and heating ?
I'm looking to add another SSD but I'm not sure how many NVME M.2 SSDs it supports, can I install a second or should I opt for a SATA?
Supposedly this is a memory error? I have 6 sticks of ddr5, 4 or which worked for sure before, and have almost tried every combination of sticks and slots. I tried installing the latest non beta bios using flashback, led stopped flashing but still no boot. I'll try an older bios otherwise I'm going to rma. Any other suggestions? Was working great 2 months ago before I tried to go from 32gigs to 64 and had to drop mem speed WAY down to even get it to boot.
I'm a little stuck on what to do. I have connected a SSD to SATA cables and an NVME drive to the main slot and the BIOS shows no bootable devices... I have reset the BIOS using default settings and no change. Any suggestions?
I have Windows 11 installed inside my NVME drive but last night i changed my CMOS battery so my BIOS settings got reset
And now it's not letting me boot to windows anymore
Boot option priorities and Boot override both greyed out
I'm trying to allow Plex remote access. I got a public IP from my ISP and I thought I made a static IP in the router settings. But whenever I restart the computer Plex says it's unavailable outside my network again, as if the IP is no longer static. How do I fix this? I really have no idea what I'm doing. My router is an Asus rt-ac51u
I'm considering to buy this one. Kindly share your experience
Last Win 11 update (the cummulative one from like 2 days ago) obliterated my BT drivers and there's no combination of reinstalling BT/Audio drivers that can make things works like they used to.
After disconnecting my headphones (galaxy buds 2) i get no audio out of any app, even Youtube tells me there is an issue with audio playback sometimes. I think it just stays connected for some reason to try and reconnect faster next time but it bugs out and nothing works. Doesn't matter if i turn off BT, turn on airplane mode, it just stays muted. The only way to get it working again is to restart the computer with airplane mode on so it doesn't try to automatically connect. (restarting w/o airplane mode just leaves it as-is, but the Windows chime plays just fine on start up and the system notifications also make sound, it's just anything external to Windows itself stays muted).
The apps are correctly routed to the external speakers, already tried disabling audio effects and enhancements, apps are also not muted from the mixer, i think this is exclusively a BT issue. Headphones work just fine on other laptops and phones.
Turning off BT LE from the settings kind of helped but it still happens sometimes. I can tell this isn't a hw problem because even when it happens, when i lock / unlock the machine the Windows chime plays just fine through the speakers, is just other programs that cannot access the audio device for some reason. (also works just fine from a Linux live enviroment).
I got kind of fed up from this thing not working, the laptop is like 3 weeks old, at this point i'm just thinking of going the nuclear route and reinstalling Windows but this thing having a touchscreen, a cpu with an NPU and about 50 things available to download from the ASUS site i'm kind of scared it'll just turn out to be an even worse driver nightmare.
Has anyone here reinstalled Win 11 in their zenbook 14 ? does Windows auto-driver thing pick them out just fine ? do you need to go to the asus website to get any of them? and if you need to do so, is everything needed available ? i've had some terrible experiences with some budget Lenovo laptops where drivers are just NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE and you are just stuck with some things not working if you decide to not like the megabloated Windows they ship.
just to be clear: i'm familiar and used to installing an os, this is not a new thing for me, i'm just worried i got myself one of those laptops that if you decide to replace it you just get youself stuck with a worse version of it. I'm hoping not since it's quite an expensive laptop but honestly i'm not sure, heck the default screen saver is a tacky-ass ASUS OLED ad looking thing.
Thanks in advance to anyone who read though this whole thing and takes the time to answer.
TLDR: got fed up trying to fix BT issues, are ASUS laptops usually friendly for reinstalling the O.S or do they pull out the Lenovo move and simply refuse to give you the necessary drivers to get it back to 100% functionality ?
EDIT: sorry i just saw the other 8 post with the EXACT same problem.. hope someone at Windows HQ is working to get this thing fixed ASAP honestly it's unacceptable... Still there's no new driver for the non-duo zenbook so i'll wait before flagging this as solved. I'll update ASAP. please tell me if you fixed it on this exact model and how, the issue is similar but not the same, the zenbook duo folks are reporting that it's either fully muted or full blast, mine is always fully muted. But it's always related to BT and the Windows chime also always plays so it might have a common root cause.
So I found out some settings for Windows Pen and I was wondering, wait laptops have Pens too? Do they work? What's the point unless it's a tablet sort?
So I am very dumb and no little about tech so in case this was a stupid question, sorry!
I’ve shut down my computer since hearing that, but it’s only a month old so I don’t know what could be making these sounds, it is on a laptop stand on top of the mattress. If anyone has any idea please let me know! I’ll be calling the manufacturer tmrw since I have their warranty and not Best Buy.
Hey! I have been having issues with my zenbook 14 where it will turn itself off and it stuck in a boot loop. More specifically, it will either take me to the bitlocker screen, asus loading screen, or lock screen, but then will turn itself off. It also will only turn on when plugged in. I took it to a repair shop and they want to replace the battery, but want to charge $224 dollars which makes me hesitate. For a $90 battery it seems extreme. I looked up a couple videos and it looks fairly easy to do it, but I want to make sure I do it right. Any suggestions on what battery to use or any videos that would help me do it correctly would be great appreciated. By the way, the specifications of the laptop are Zenbook 14 asus UX425ug.
Can somebody help me my Wireless Headset do not have any audio when i use it. I tried to troubleshoot by pairing and unpairing th device. This all started when I've updated the headset through Armory Crate. I can control the volume however still no audio. Tried to connect to other laptops and phones and it works to them.
Hey all! I’m still pretty new to this so I’m just verifying. I have a B650m-a ax6 motherboard, (paired with a Ryzen 7 7700) and was looking to put a Corsair vengeance (CMH48GX5M2B7200C36) specifically. When I go to ASUS website and check the QVL(?) that exact ram stick set pulls up as supported, but when I go to corsairs page, it does not. Am I missing something here? I did see something that they said 6000(?) speed was recommended for this M.B so maybe that’s why? Because the 7200 of this specific corsair Ram stick set is “too high?” Just curious if someone more knowledgeable here could help me out before it shows up on Tuesday and I’m disappointed. Thanks in advance!
Model :Q420VA-EVO.I7512. I've been through every possible test including re-installing Windows. The 15-month-old laptop will turn off immediately shutoff after removing the power
How many years will a DSL ASUS AX82U router hold should I buy a second hand one for half price or it's not worth it.
Stripped screw, just my luck
When I try to reinstall the app, it works perfectly fine but then as soon as its done downloading it says that my laptop doesn't have the app to open this link.
Hi, all. My daughter is a freshman in college. Already in her second laptop because the HP we bought over the summer was a lemon. She’s now having issues with the Asus getting stuck at the welcome screen. She has tried restarting several times. I may honestly lose my mind this go around. She is 4 hours away and has no clue what she’s doing so I was in the phone with HP for hours in end and relaying instructions to her. It was awful.
Can anyone provide any potential fixes for this? I’d be eternally grateful.
Thank you.
Has anyone tried the ai cooling and ai overclocking. I have this mobo and was keen to try it out. Just wanted to know your experiences
Hi everyone,
I recently built a new PC and I used the ASUS Ryuo III AIO. I set CPU temp display on the cooling block, but it seems like I cannot change the color of the text. It's supposed to be white, I guess (it looks different depending on the angle that I view it from, a non-issue,) and every few seconds its flashes to a "CPU TEMP" text screen.
I have a couple of questions-
Can I easily change the color of the text displayed for CPU temp? I haven't been able to find it on Google, Reddit, and I searched this subreddit too. There is a good possibility that I missed it if those posts exist- in which case please link me.
I have updated all relevant drivers to my hardware. I shouldn't get any screen burn like other Ryuo III users have mentioned, right?
My ultimate preference would be if the block constantly displayed the current CPU temp w/o doing the flashy graphics (and I could change the color to match a clean deep-red).
Ultimately, I'll deal with defaults if it's a complicated fix. I'm not a programmer or anything. I generally know my way around computers but I would rather keep this build pretty close to factory. Mainly wondering if there is anything that I'm missing since I've just upgraded from a capable but OLD machine.
Thanks for your insight!
Yesterday, while I was playing a game, the screen went black, but the computer stayed powered on.
I tried restarting but it won't post. On the motherboard, the orange DRAM light is on. Motherboard is TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS.
I tried reseating the ram, and I tried each stick on its own in each slot.
I then tried resetting the cmos by removing the battery for a minute.
Then I tried the bios flashback. Downloaded the latest bios to usb and went through that process. After doing that, the DRAM light was on, but it would pulse off every second. Still wouldn't post.
Now, when I power on, I'm back to the DRAM light being solidly lit. And I don't know what to try next.
I don't have any other ram sticks to use to test. But is it possible that both my sticks died simultaneously?
i have this problem every time my pc goes to sleep or wakes up. tried to use HDMI/another DisplayPort/ change pc/ reset everything.
this problem started when i plugged another monitor to my pc [same model].
hope you guys help me since technical support is useless.
i have an asus tuf vg249q3a.
guys are these stats normal for a battery
I have an ASUS ZenBook 14 oled 2023 (intel ultra 7 155H)
I just bought Asus TUF B850, but cant find AI Sutie 3 under Utility/Toll section. Where can i download it?
So i have a pc build that i have build my self and by far i do not like the base cpu i put in it, an i5-3470S it reaches max 3.40ghz and has 4 cores. It just is slow, and so far i found an i7-3770K. Does anybody have better recommendations please let me know.
Like the comments say, i have a ux3402va zenbook 14 oled and I'm using ghelper with it, i've seen that it works on several other asus products pretty well and it has been for me but... the only trifle i have with it is that it doesnt display the cpu temps at all, is it something i need to install, like a driver or a setting?
I have an ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-WIFI 2. I want to save my static RGB settings so that they apply from the moment I boot my PC, but I can’t find any settings for this. How can I do it?
Hey all,
My laptop was working perfectly fine until today where it is now just booting to the UEFI.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I tried the cloud recovery but it says my laptop doesn’t support it?
Thanks in advance.
